Just outta curiosity I took a glance over at eBay. Believe it or not, there's people selling a CHANCE to win an HP Touchpad. A few folks are sayin' if ya win their auction they'll notify you the moment they see the touchpads go back online for $99. Oh, and here's Mr. 'Buy My Drawing Of An HP Touchpad' mentioned earlier. His auction is now at $99,900.00! Oh, what has this madness become.

I forgot about the 50 GB of cloud storage offer. It's nice to have but, IMHO, sort of defeats the purpose of havin' all your apps and media on the go if ya always gotta be connected to the internet to access 'em. Nice to have but not so nice when you're not inside a wifi hotspot.

To put it simply. On a more technical note, the 16GB will probably be enough for most people since there's only a limited number of apps produced for the WebOS. But remember it doesn't have any external storage like an SD card slot so everything, including all your pictures, music, movies, and books, goes on it's main drive. The 32GB would be handy if ya want to load up on media or perhaps in the near future when ya can root it and port Android to it.

A store in Ahwatukee just listed theirs as in-store so I called them. They said they're giving out numbers tomorrow morning when they open at 10am. No word on how many are gonna be available. Called another store in Scottsdale and they're doin' the same thing. Pity I gotta be at work at 5:30am . Heads up, everyone. Looks like your local Best Buy might get their stock in first thing tomorrow morning. I'd bet a 32GB Touchpad that those lines are gonna resemble somethin' similar to BF when they start giving out those tickets. Oh, and if you're reading this, you're probably #100 or so when ya get there.

Just checked Best Buy's in-stock status and now it says another store in Scottsdale has it. And I have no transportation to get there. Grr!

I added myself to the HP Touchpad notification list at their site. Dunno if this has been posted before, but here's the linkie: Thank you for your interest in the HP TouchPad. Not too sure how accurate and timely their response to everyone is gonna be, If anyone ever gets one, but I bet you'll have to be pretty quick on the trigger to snag one. Maybe one of us will get lucky.

Really surprised your 6th annual WalMart 'Take My Ad Down While I Threaten You With Legal Mumbo Jumbo' form letter hasn't arrived yet. That's when I know it's BF season. Oh, and where are the ads? (might as well join in on the fun! )

Wait, wasn't this a 'Fire Sale', meaning they sell what they have in stock and not make any more? Unless some stores returned their stock or were ordered not to sell 'em while HP plans on releasing the sale of 'em bit by bit through the rest of the year. If this is true, it makes me believe even more there may be some really major doorbuster mania in store for BF this year. Imagine what would happen if Best Buy announced these things as a doorbuster with only a dozen per store .

Best Buy's tracker says there's only one store in stock within a several hundred mile radius and that's up north in Happy Valley. Oh, if I only had a car .

Great. Now that the BF boards are open I guess I gotta start workin' on gettin' the comparison charts ready. So much for procrastinating.

Just outta curiosity I checked out the local craigslist ads and sure enough several folks are advertising they have dozens (literally) of HP touchpads for sale. Was wonderin' what happened to all that stock at our local Best Buy stores. Perhaps check your local craigslist for folks like these if you're really serious about snaggin' one. May have to pay a lil' more to make someone a profit but at least ya get one.

That's a good question. Were were y'all? Only had about four people in there, but in my humble opinion, I think it was a smashing success! Brought back memories of BF last year. If I understand correctly, we're gonna to another dry run in a few weeks, then on Sept. 10 is the first 'official' BF broadcast.

There's also an app from UStream if ya wanna watch the BF webcasts on the go on your android or tablet: Ustream - Android Market. Gonna try it out during the test on Saturday.

I vote for Saturday evenings, about every other week. It could start ASAP since we're already all psyched up about BF . Then as it gets closer to BF, say in November, bump it up to weekly. . Don't forget to ask Brad for lots of t-shirts and contests for the webcasts . And weren't ya supposed to do a few webcasts last year of settin' up your tent at Best Buy? I'd still like to see that this year.
