Now that we've got one out of the four major ads in there's still three more we're waitin' for: Target, Best Buy, and Wal-(Dont-Release-Me-Until-Its-Time)-Mart. Scratch that. Target has landed

Crackin' the whip on my team this week. Now that we've finally got one of the major ads in we're gonna have a big supprise for everyone on friday, the 2-week warning for BF.

Or maybe BigJim should find a soda/bottled water manufacturer to sponsor the next webcast. The last webcast I think he ran out a few times. Maybe he has a GD cup or mug? Maybe Brad can send him a case of GD bottled water? Oh, and since BigJim said I should put this out there, I think I will. What to y'all think should be his theme song for the webcasts? I'm thinkin' 'For the Love of Money' by the O'jays. 'Money money moooooooney ... moooooooooney!'

For what it's worth, I still got the transcript from the chat portion of the last webcast. Not sure exactly what to do with it. Did Johnny's class get to do their part of the webcast last time? It'd be fun if we can try to arrange the webcast around a time where he and his class could be on.

After all the juicy tidbits we got about BigJim the last time, I wonder what surprises we'll discover about him this time. I'll be there. :)

Four hours of web chattin' about BF. Whew! Great job, BigJim! Had a great time. Lots of good info on BF and shopping. Lots of juicy bits about BigJim as well. BTW, BigJim, just in case ya wanted it I got a transcript of the chat.

Is there a was a way we could work out the time difference between us here in the US and Johnny in Japan so his students can participate live with the rest of us? Perhaps adjust the start time or lengthen out the end time?

I have a bad feelin' Brad's life is about to get a bit more busy. The longer it takes for these ads to show up the less time he has to get 'em online.

Was surfin' youtube and I think I stumbled across your old 2008-2009 youtube webcasts. www.youtube.com/user/blackfridaynetwork This time last year, ya were reportin' the K-Mart BF ad:

Instead of wearin' a striped sweater it'd be a Walmart vest, and instead of a glove on my hand I'd be holdin' a legal paper stating ' NO ADS RELEASED UNTIL 11/24'! Oh! The humanity!

As much as we all want ya to wake up from this awful dream, I'm afraid your true nightmare is yet to come. Ya know which one I'm talkin' about? The one where all the major ads get released at the exact same time and at the last possible minute. Sweet dreams.

Just outta curiosity, how much stuff have ya put the GD name/logo on? Are ya keepin' track? Off the top of my head I've seen shirts, coats, tote bags, shopping bags, backpacks, pens, pencils, stickers, clips, and calculators just to name a few.

I thought I saw GD t-shirts on that store. But winnin' one from Brad is more fun as he adds that personal touch to it. Or, in my case, payin' him a few bucks.

I've had dreams of bein' trampled by a crowd. Dunno if it was a BF line crowd or not.

I remember GD used to have an online chat room. We'd schedule a time just before BF when everyone might be able to be there. Wonder whatever happened to it.

I'd say the bottom-most cheapest and the top-most expensive are gonna be the ones they run out of first. Gamers and college students are gonna want great deals on the very best and some folks out there just want what's cheapest to get 'em online. When they run outta those the next step down, or up as the case may be, goes next. I think ya got the right idea that your best bet without waitin' in line would be a mid to high-range Core i5 or somethin' with a decent processor. Of course almost everythin' else in the PC can be upgraded later.

Oh, what the heck. I'm game!

Whew! New job + school + life = crazy! Einstein should've came up with that equation! Thought I'd drop in an update. Finally got the moderator site up and workin' for those of y'all helpin' out. For the rest of ya, I've moved the charts to http://blackfriday.thestationchief.com and got a brief redesign of the 2010 GDCC main site to make it a lil' more pretty and hopefully more user-friendly. Instructions as well as a few extra features (selectable columns with the option of a 'printer-friendly' format as well as a 'mobile' version of the site) soon to follow. Thanx for that. I thought about usin' javascript tools like those but I decided to design one from scratch myself. The functuality of sorting the tables by individual columns has been there on the GDCC charts. It was just sort of 'hidden' from the less internet-savy folks. But it's there.

That's my baby! :) I second that idea to bring it back somewhat. Perhaps keep that general idea on the front (maybe 'ELITE SOPPING CREW' instead of 'WHY PAY RETAIL') and have the '.. I probably got your doorbuster' on the back. Let's bring back classic Gottadeal! Now, I'm off to go find a t-shirt size picture frame. Gotta preserve the past.

Hmm ... wonder what my #2 style shirt would go for on eBay. Better yet I think I'll frame it and put it up on my wall.

Yup, that's the one. I think I did win a more 'updated' one a few years back but I lost it. My gray vintage GD t-shirt is still in mint condition and goin' strong since I pretty much only wear it a few times a year. :)

I got mine! Along with a few extra goodies. Thanx, Brad! How'd ya know I needed a new pen and highlighter? I was a lil' afraid the large size would be too big but it turns out it'll be just right. Goes great with my GottaDeal t-shirt from back in '06 (it's a collector's item by now). And yes, it is sad that gettin' a t-shirt in the mail causes us to jump for joy and make a fool outta ourselves in front of our neighbors. But hey, that's what makes bein' a GottaDeal-a-holic all the rave!
