  1. Amazon just announced the new style Kindle Fire being shipped in about a week which is faster and $40 cheaper ($159)
  2. He did. He's using Livestream instead of UStream for the webcasts this year. So the back of #1 is accurate.
  3. Any way we could turn the caution sign in #1's blue shirt to a diamond shape, like the street caution signs? The square just doesn't do it for me.
  4. Hmm, Brad did mention using a QR code for one of the shirts. Instead of that crowded sea of text on the back of #1 how about a giant QR code people can scan that takes 'em right to the site. Might even be cool to have people behind you all the time taking a pic/scan of your shirt.
  5. I like #1 in orange the best. Maybe put the GD logo in the cart instead of off to the side. And I think the back of that one is an interesting idea, but it needs the website somewhere so folks know where to find that sea of goodness. Maybe add Twitter on there (since ya have facebook), plus the Gottatalk Lounge, Technology, and Food & Drink (the other forums). And ya even included BigJimSlade! Where's the Comparison Charts? As for the others, #2 looks like it's for baseball fans (not me) and #3 with 'full contact shopping' I'd have to agree it's asking for trouble. Hmm. Maybe put the 'full contact shopping' text in front of a cage or something to make it more MMA?
  6. I predict that prediction will be most accurate
  7. Weren't we supposed to have a GD rummage sale at some point? I need new GD everything.
  8. That's not a bad idea. Maybe an 'in line at Best Buy' webcast marathon for charity from the moment he's in line all the way to when he's in the store. And if you thought the media had fun with Dev last year, just wait til they get wind of that. Florida lady, eat yer heart out!
  9. 1. I'm good for Friday or Saturday nights. 2. Pretty much the same topics as last year, but perhaps have a theme for each webcast. Like one for Bf camping, another for hot electronics, etc. 3. What's not to like about the webcasts? 4. We did have a few folks not so techy-savy that had trouble getting into UStream. Perhaps if we could find a format a little easier to log into. And the ads... UGH! 5. I say keep it at 2 hours. Seems like a good amount of time to go over all the topics and have folks ask their questions. But this year I think we should go for the record (current record I believe still stands at 8 hours from back in 2010). 6. Absolutely! The evening any major ad is released let's do an emergency webcast and go over that ad. And on behalf of all of us who are a lil' crazy about Black Friday, thanks BigJim for doing this for us!
  10. Well, while we're on the subject of t-shirts might as well get this out of the way... So when is the first contest, Brad?
  11. No ads is good Although I'm not so sure about using Google+. I kinda liked the UStream format if the ads can be removed. Also, I agree with doing a 2011 recap with predictions for 2012. Perhaps guests for a few webcasts can be arranged. Maybe your manager friend from the local Best Buy you camp out at. And don't worry. Your handy dandy partner in crime of sorts SC will be calling in, one way or another
  12. I'd think all ya gotta do is contact the owner/manager at the store you're camping out at. They should know everything about that. Far as 'reasonable' time spent camping, all depends on how one defines reason Last year reports came in for some folks camping out as early as Monday, and in some smaller towns people lined up the night before and still got all the doorbusters. Consider your location, how popular that store is, and how badly ya want that hot electronics item.
  13. If you're shopping in-store, bring a tent and camp out several days before The best deals on HDTVs usually go to the first handful of folks only.
  14. I'll be warm and toasty in Mesa, AZ. Don't plan on going anywhere.
  15. Glad one of us is ready
  16. I like that idea. Maybe put it on the back with 'If you can scan this I've probably got your doorbuster'
  17. I think we used that for the regular GD t-shirts a few years back. Can always bring back a clasic I agree with navy blue text on orange t-shirt. Wouldn't care for tye-dye, though. That's just too loud and 70's for me.
  18. Thinking, yes. Doing... no.
  19. I'm surprised you caved in so early this year. You're losing your touch, Brad
  20. Hmm, some good 2012 slogans? 'Back off my line, I have mace!' How about a caution sign that says, 'Danger: Black Friday shopper'? I like that one! Put that on the front instead of 'elite shopping crew'
  21. Let's see... 2010 was blue, 2011 was black, how about red for this year?
  22. I predict that people will ban Walmart... for the upteenth year in a row Actually, according to my calculations it's tomorrow (August 15th). But you can always celebrate early
  23. Still waiting for the new style 2012 GD t-shirt Brad promised me last year
  24. Yup, that's the meaty part I tend to scrape
