It's that time of year when the stories from all across the nation start rolling in about how a shopper goes nuts with the pepper spray or a line stampede gets out of hand. Post your news reports or personal crazy stories about what happened at your local Black Friday here! Already there's rumored reports here in the Phoenix valley about a Costco line stampede getting so out of hand that a dozen people were injured and the whole store, along with several others nearby, were immediately shut down This is the same city last year that gave you the pepper spray lady for an XBOX360 and the police brutally attacking another shopper for allegedly hiding a video game, as well as a few years back when we had a temp employee killed in a trampling. Other rumored cross country reports, at least what I can recall on the local news, include one in Fayetteville, N.C. where someone fired gunshots outside and inside a mall where shoppers were in line. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

Ah... the memories I remember that Walmart ad vividly. Got in line at 8pm Thursday night and still able to get their HP laptop doorbuster at 5am sharp Friday morning.

Ah, candy is dandy but liquor is quicker. Got it.

More ad updates and bug fixes to the charts have been happening lately. The charts themselves should now be complete with everything except for video games. Just a reminder if anyone finds anything missing or incorrect please let me know so my team and I can get right on it.

I thought about adding just a general PC Components chart, which includes printers among other things. Unfortunately I couldn't arrange that this year but we'll definitely do that for next year.

Looks like it's there now. We've been cranking out the updates over these last few days so it might not have been there before.

The issues with IE and other web browsers should be fixed now. If anyone else breaks it, let me know And most of the charts have been updated with all the latest ads. The update will be fully complete by tomorrow.

I've already got myself a tshirt But I just wanna chime in and say how much I and everyone here appreciates you doing the webcasts, BigJim! No other site does this, and that's what makes this site the greatest! Only recommendation I'd have is to make the first hour of the webcast themed, like talk all about camping or about a particular ad. Then the second hour can be open questions about anything BF related.

Make sure you post all your issues and what browser you're using here. I'll be tackling all these issues shortly. And the stores are supposed to refresh the chart as you click. Just a lil bug to fix, but for now the 'Reset' button will refresh it.

Just wanted to let everyone know the charts should now be up to date with all the latest ads except Target. There's still some missing info here and there which will be corrected this weekend along with updating the charts with the Target ad.

UPDATE: NEW CHARTS, NEW SITE! But same old domain http://blackfridaycharts.com/ A lot of updates to the charts will be coming in all nite by our wonderous band of misfit volunteers, so very soon you will see everything from Walmart as well as Target. But the big news, if you were paying attention to BigJim's webcast tonite, is that the charts site has been completely redesigned to be more user friendly and even a little bit more awesome. Go have a lookie! Some of the improvements you'll find are as follows: All new design and look... now with a static toolbar up top!The chart's headers stay put. You can now keep track of what you're looking at when you scroll down a long chart!The great big garble of stores to click/unclick is now compacted into a smaller scrolling boxA new dynamic search box. You can now search for specific multiple keywords on the fly! You'll notice three more buttons: Copy (copies the table to your computer's clipboard), Print (a more printable format), and... SAVE! 11/6/12 - Major Change to the Product Charts Coming This Friday Just giving everyone a lil' heads up. On the morning of 11/09/12, this Friday which happens to be the two-week mark til Black Friday, not only will there be an update adding all the major ads that were released these last few days, but there will be a BIG change to the Product Charts website itself. Everything about the charts are being improved and I think everyone will be quite pleased with what's coming. Not spoilin' the surprise just yet but stay tuned!
