  1. Habitat for Humanity has a building supply thrift store in my county. Stores will donate older models and so will manufacturers. Go to Google and type in "Habitat for Humanity" and "thrift store" and your state and you should be able to find the info that you need. Also in Boulder, we have a place called Resource, where people, builders, etc.... bring used and new building materials, lighting fixtures, cabinets, etc...... On their website I found these links Links and Recycling Information Building Material Reuse Association (BMRA) National association with links to used building material stores around the country. www.ubma.org Greenerbuilding.org Greenerbuilding.org furthers low-impact ways to design and build functional, comfortable, and attractive homes and is a division of the Center for ReSource Conservation. www.greenerbuilding.org Also if you need stone for your home, check out a stone quarry in your area. Most times you can buy, by the pound and many of them have a "salvage" type rock piles, that are less expensive. And check out ReUseIt @ yahoo groups. You can post that you are looking forcertain building materials and even plants when you are landscaping and if members have them they will give them for free. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ReUseIt/ FreeCycle @ yahoo groups does the same thing. To find a FreeCycle group near you just go to yahoo groups and search for FreeCycle in your area. Good Luck ps The Best Buy nears me had a bunch of floor model appliances on sale yesterday. You can check there, if you aren't ready to purchase those items now, contact the management and ask when they usually have sales on that type of stuff. You can do this at places like Home Depot and flooring stores too. IKEA has some cool cabinets and they are doing whirlpool applianves now to.
  2. The BBW near me had tons of Classics and the Wallflowers. They evern had some travel sized body creams and bodywash for $1. I also picked up one of the Frosty lip glosses for $2
  3. It sounds like everyone has had soo much fun doing the Holiday Exchange. I look forward to joining next year. The card exchange list was huge. I'll have to pick up extra stamps through out the year for this.
  4. Hi, we have this tv and have been very happy with it. My husband also has 2 Olevia LCD HDTV tv's in his office and they have been on 24 hours a day for 2 years and he hasn't had any problems with them at all. And if you order it online they have FREE Next Business Day Delivery. We ordered ours online from Office Depot and it was delivered right on time. I was soo happy with it. No fussing with fitting it in the car and I didn't have to carry it up the steps. It was all taken care of. And the tv is very easy to set up also. Ölevia™ 237T 37" LCD HDTV Plus Monitor Inputs Now $699.99 Was $899.99 http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/616675/237T-LCD-HDTV-Plus-Monitor-Inputs/
  5. Yes, I saw some at the Target near me also. They were with the Christmas extension cords and replacement bulbs for the light strands.
  6. Do your children play Halo3 on LIVE? My husband plays Halo3 on LIVE and it is ridiculous what we hear when players are talking. Cussing, lewd and disgusting comments, players berating each other. I just wanted to let you know, in case you haven't heard them. If your children play with the headset on then you may not have heard it yet. My DH's headset broke and just that one night of him playing the game without the headset and me being able to hear everything was enough for me. My DH registered on Bungie.net (the makers of the game) and he can keep track of all of his stats on their website. Also Bungie has a store, BungieStore.com and they sell some cool t-shirts, posters and other cool Halo stuff. http://www.bungie.net/ http://www.bungiestore.com/ProductCart/Pc/storefront.asp Happy New Year!
  7. Thanks for the days. I can't belive I forgot something soo simple.
  8. Christmas stuff 75% off in Boulder, CO Toys still 30 - 50% off They must have re-stocked, seems like they have more than they did before Christmas. I bought; 6 packs of the large Gladware containers, 6ct Now $1.49 each 6 of the Gladware sets with the two different size containers Now $1.49 each 4 packs of the white tissue paper that was orig $2.99 Now $0.74 each 6 packs of fancy silver colored plastic utensils. Now $0.64 each 3 packs of Minature ights for tree 100ct. Now $0.50 each We may still be using this Gladware next year too! Total of 10 of the Gladware sets. This shopping trip + previous shopping trip. There was a group of 5 families that were together. They had at least 10 carts over flowing with stuff. They were in the middle by the trees and their carts looked like stuff that the Target associates had put together (go backs, stock to be put out etc....) Well, one poor lady starts to grab something from a cart and this guy starts hollering at her. "This is our stuff" "5 families" "Don't touch" Now I understand that you don't want people to swipe out of your cart. However how the heck is anybody suppose to know that this stuff is "claimed" I haden't realized it until he started acting like a fool. I'm glad I didn't reach for something. If he had started to yell at me, we would have had some serious issues. I had also thought that for someone buying Christmas decorations, that he didn't really have the Christmas spirit with him.
  9. Hi Everyone, While picking up a few things at the BBW sale, I walked by Victoria's Secret and saw a white and pink sign. 10 for $25 10 for $25 Victoria's Secret PINK Cotton Panties Orig $7.50 each I forgot how long they said the sale was for and when I called to ask they were very busy. Happy New Year!
  10. I am looking forward to when they go to 75% off. Perfect for birthdays and for the Angel Tree's next year. Each year I always want to buy gifts for tons of children on the trees, but it can get soo expensive. This year I'm going to purchase gifts when I find them at great prices. Will also do this for childrens clothing too. I plan on keeping the gifts in Rubbermaid totes in my storage area.
  11. Thanks for posting. Will have to look for stuff for next year. Very cute!
  12. I will check the Target by me on Saturday and on Sunday. Hopefully they will have marked the holidays stuff at 75% off. I really want to stock up on tissue paper. I ran out this year and was soo irritated for not buying more last year and having to pay full price after I ran out. I'll have to check and see if Joann Fabrics has any too. I also like to pick up the Large/XLarge gift bags for when we donate to the Angel Trees. That way I can put all of the gifts for each child in their bag and there is less of a chance for gifts to be miss placed.
  13. When you go clothing shopping next, check Marshalls, TJ Maxx and Ross. I always see South Pole clothing there. Jeans, Sweatshirts, T-shirts, etc...
  14. Yesterday I picked up 4 packs of the Holiday Glad Ware food storage container sets and 1 four pack of Halloween Glad Ware that I found by the Christmas decorations. Also 1 pack of the Glad Oven Ware and 1 pack of the Glad Storage Holiday bag sets and 3 packs of Holiday Bounty paper towels. I plan on checking Target on Saturday for tissue paper and maybe some of the boxes. A lot of the toys at my local Target were marked 30% or 50% off. I'm going to keep a eye out for when they go 75% off and pick up a few and store them for birthdays and the Angel Trees next year.

  17. I Love Christmas, and I'm sad that tomorrow we'll have to wait 365 days until Christmas is here again. I enjoy the traditions, the meaning of Christmas and everything that has to do with Christmas. I try to keep the spirit of Christmas within me all year. I will also continue to listen to Christmas music and watch Christmas movies. I am trying to convince DH that we need to keep our tree up until at least the Super Bowl:D I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!! Merry Christmas everyone!
  18. Have you checked Target? The Target near me seems to always have them after Christmas. Merry Christmas!
  19. How cool! Any chance you can get them to wear Santa hats? Have a great Christmas and enjoy the time with your family. My Mom surprised me the day before my birthday in October and her being there was the best gift ever! I Love my Mom! Merry Christmas!
