Does anyone share a little holiday cheer by giving the cashier a little something? I've been thinking of doing something, especially this year, since many workers are giving time up with their families on Thanksgiving Day to work.

My son got the original Skylanders game when he was 6 and loves it! It takes a little getting used to all the characters and their special abilities, but I think it would be just fine for your 6 year old. We are getting him the new Giants game this year for Christmas.

Am I the only one excited by this? Yes, I understand Walmart is getting my money either way, but I also understand that they're trying to make sure that as many people get the items they want without, hopefully, starting WWIII if and when they run out of the item! If it works for me, then great. If not, I'll just use the GC the next time I go grocery shopping or visit the store for something else!

Just got my final plan together. It looks like I'll be at Walmart at 8pm especially for the Nabi 2! We'll see how that goes. Then I will head across the street for Target's 9pm opening and head right back to Walmart for the Case Logic camera case that goes on sale at 10pm. Not a hot item, so hopefully it will still be there. I'm hoping to get everything online from Kohl's on Wednesday, but if not, I will hang around for their midnight opening.

It also says the same thing on the last page of the ad about prices valid Nov. 22-24. My best guess would be that the doorbusters won't be available until 9 pm on Thursday.

If I could get what I need online at Kohl's, the only stores I would need to hit would be Walmart and Target. Not a bad deal.

Nothing in the ad that I need, so Walmart will be my first stop! Now I just have to hope I didn't miss out on the chance to get the Mega Bloks Skylanders Castle that has sold out on pre-order.

As of right now, I'm starting at Walmart for the Nabi 2 deal, then over to Target. Luckily they're in the same area. Once finished with these, then I'll head over to Kohl's to wait for their opening. This may all change once I see TRU's ad. We'll see.

Anxiously waiting for TRU as my son wants the new Mega Bloks Skylanders Castle. Not sure it will be on sale since it's technically not even out yet, but I can hope!! Plus, I just love Kohl's!! It's always my first stop when shopping for clothes. What are you still waiting on?

What does "after savings" mean that's posted on some of the items. Is it a rebate?

A friend of mine bought a bunch at the $1 spot, but they only lasted about 2 hours! Not sure how old they were, but I would assume the longer you hold onto them, the less likely they'll be any good.

"We understand that many of our associates want to spend time with their families on the holiday, so Sears and Kmart will staff its stores with seasonal associates and those who have volunteered to work on Thanksgiving Day." I was happy to read this statement. At least they're trying to help out their associates who actually do want to spend time with their families.

Just got back from TRU and asked about the Skylanders purchase of $100 or more and the cashier told me that the Mega Bloks items are not included in this deal.

Good stuff. The Beyblades Dome is one thing on my son's wishlist, but I actually got it cheaper last week at Kohl's by stacking coupons and Kohl's cash! Can't wait to see all the deals in the weeks to come.

I just checked on the TRU website and it looks like you can get the case free with the plush items, but not with the Mega Bloks items. Too bad, because my son wants the big Skylanders Castle set!! I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask in the store.

Weekend before Thanksgiving, but the outside lights don't get turned on until Thanksgiving night.

Last year we had two Thanksgivings at our house. On Wednesday, we had my in-laws for dinner around 6:00 pm and then my parents came on Thursday for lunch around 1:00 pm. I hate eating at odd times, so when it's at my house, I make sure it's around our usual time.

I usually start buying in early September and try to be done by BF. I'm definitely more aware of sales during this time and will buy whenever the deal is right.

I love sending and receiving cards!
