  1. Its a terrible thing that someone would want to "skip" christmas, i mean i know some people don't celebrate it due to their religious beliefs and what not, but just to skip it because its too much to do seems petty and absurd. My sons school also is not allowed to have "Christmas" parties and have to have a Holiday Celebration. It has extended further than that at his school though, i asked the teacher on Monday if i could send in little goodie bags for Halloween with pencils, stickers, etc. He was okay with the idea but i couldn't call them "Halloween" goodie bags, they would have to be "Fall Fest Celebration" bags, because the school does not promote or encourage Halloween. No costumes, no nothing.
  2. I have had some bad checkout experiences over the years and last year we had one wait near the front and get in line if the lines started to get long and when we checked out we did it all on one reciept, i got a few nasty looks but no one said anything, i guess however if you had someone wait in line for you and then like you had alot of people with all buying their own stuff come up in line with your waiting person you might start a issue.
  3. lol im to the point that im checking like 10 times a day, this is crazy, give us an ad already. my head is gonna explode :
  4. blah blah blah yackedy smackedy, just another in the line of babies who dont want any of GottaDealers Money.
  5. So you get alot done on bf?? or before bf and just get the last few things that day?
  6. Just wondering how much planning everyone puts into bf shopping, i personally like to make it asap, so as soon as the ads start to allow my plan comes together.
  7. I know how it is to have to have your child out on black friday as one year my parents had to take my son along with them because i was working for walmart and they were my baby sitter but were going shopping. So fortunatley for them they had some great people in line around them and helped to limit pushing and shoving going into the store and once they got through the door it was still crowded but not as much madness and running into people. If you have no other choice make sure he is bundled tight, and carry him until your in the store if your going to be waiting in a line to make sure he doesnt get caught up in the mad stampede when the doors open.
  8. awesome, filled out the info, now i hope they send it:yup:
  9. Yes, call and check, i know the one here in my town will be open as per i have family and friends working there and they told me, however they also told me that its a pilot thing this year and not every walmart store will be open untill they see how it goes this year. Some stores have been open in the past, but none in my area. If you try to call your local store and they wont answer you if they are giong to be open my sister said all stores suppose to post a holiday schedule on the front doors sometime at the end of the month and it will tell you if your store will be open on thanksgiving or not.
  10. my sister just bought one for $199, i forgot where she got it though, ill ask her and let ya know.

  16. Taking a ride around the area to view all the pretty lights, and taking the boys to the fire station for the train garden, they love it and my parents took me every year when i was a kid
  17. Like everyone else is saying, limit the cash, obviously plastic would be a safer option that day. If you dont have a credit/debit card or cant get a prepaid one, plan out what your going out for and only bring cash for that and a little extra for impulse buys, and don't announce to anyone around you that your are carrying cash or the amount.
  18. i would LOVE to have christmas in january, December is just to dang busy between school events, shopping, wrapping, cards, decorating, i never have time to breathe. My dh's family would never go for that, but i wonder if my family would.
  19. ok now can you believe this......... i wasted my time calling 5 adults last nite for them each to say that if we didnt wanna give gifts to everyone they would understand but they were still gonna buy for everyone. WTHeck. I give up.
  20. we will be spending the same as i have picked up a side job watching 2 little girls before and after school that money is direct to the christmas fund.
  21. Thanks for all the responses, im going to run the white elephant thing by my hubby , but im sure he will again just say if i want to do that i need to call everyone, so if thats the case im gonna call the inlaws 2nite and see what they say. I hope they go for it as 50 people is NOT in our budget, because thats just his side of the family.
  22. Selling tickets in my opinion is no different then the people who camped out for ps3 and wii and then made double profit on it off ebay and what not.... HOWEVER you must be feeling pretty frisky to dare sell tickets to mobs of hundreds of people and not be worried bout getting beat for it.
