It doesn't take sd cards, it takes sony pro duo memory sticks. Id say some cheap umd movies... you can also put them on the memory. You can also put some pictures on there. He could have pics of family while away from home. Music can go on there too. Also you can find a battery pack that has longer battery life (never know when youll be able to charge it) for around $20. Its really worth it. Not only would he have an extended life battery he would have two. oh! a hard case with storage for the games. I dont remember if that set comes with headphones. I think that that is all i have. The way I read it is that its 40% off the list price, not the borders price. So heroes would be $36, not $28.20 (from 47.99)

Also read what the Better Business Bureau says about them. Once I read that it really deterred me from letting them come in my home. A lot of people here sell them on craigslist.

Ours is hidden back in the camping stuff and has been $27 for weeks. Ive been thinking about getting it for DH but $27 is way too much. Maybe Ill scan him next time I'm in.

The aiptek ones are pretty cheap (sold at target) they also have like 5-7 megapixels. I havent had any experience iwth them but they dont seem bad. Also, if you have a digital camera see if it has a video mode. Or maybe its time to upgrade the digital camera and get one that does video in the process. That way you'll have something that you will really use (as opposed to two camcorders). Two cameras=good. Two camcorders=why. JMHO.

Be sure that you dont get the 40 gig if you want to play ps2 games because it is not backwards compatible.

Its all about personal preference. Look at them in the store. Dont look at brand. Also you have to realize that you can adjust the brightness and contrast etc so take that into consideration.

It killed itself as i was reading the thread. Anyway, after about 30 minutes of searching I found out that it died like yesterday.

Try walmart. They had it on sale on Black Friday and up until yesterday mine still had them at that price (they've sold out or rearranged the store).

Get a quote on getting the laptop fixed. It could be as simple as $100. When I got my guitar for my birthday less than five years ago it cost $90. It was used and electric. I still have it. Guitar Center carries used guitars. You could get her a used guitar (I didnt mind at all) and hopefully still have money left over to fix the laptop.

craigslist.org Its just like the classifieds in the paper but there are pictures and you can write as much as you want. Its based upon your city so its all local. DH and I were going to get matching pink razrs for $75 total. (he didnt mind) but then i decided not to get a new phone. They are used but normally in great shape. Its a lot cheaper than ebay!

The GH2 or 3 guitar does everything you need it to for rock band. the other stuff is just extra and nice to have. It doesnt do anything. Neither i, DH, or his friends have used any of the "special features" on the rock band guitar. I would really recommend the special edition box just because it is cheaper in the long run (plus DH HAD to have to the drums). Oh, and just to let you know, the original guitars that shipped with the rock band bundle are breaking. I'm really nice to my stuff and mine broke. EA is aware of the problem and is sending replacement guitars to exchange. Ones that shipped after the first two weeks i think are fine. So.... those who bought it already should go to ea's website to exchange the guitar before christmas! HTH!

I wouldnt. The bowling in the game is great. You use your own mii. There are better games to spend $20 on. Best Buy had some in their cheap games in the checkout aisle.

bring the ad in and price match at best buy. i do this all the time and get reward zone coupons!
