  1. What? You only get one ticket per person?!?! This is good for soft core people, but if I won I would still camp out with my kids (like I have for the past 5 years) arguing that my #1 place in line should allow me to get additional door busters... then I would use my 30 minutes to pick up the nonticketed items and ride my limo out in style. That is how the hard core, gottadeal.com shoppers do it! And, before you ask, I do not sell my tickets or put my door busters on ebay. I Generally pick up one or two items for myself and then everyone else i like gets a good Christmas.
  2. My wife will be bringing me food through out my time in line. I will mostly have chips and soda to tide the kids over between meals. I would definately recomend bringing some sort of heater, though. I have had one since 2004, it attaches to the top of my propane tank and makes you lots of friends... plus you can carry it with you when the line starts moving. I had my own bad experience last year. Will not go back to Anderson, SC BB for anything, even on non-BF days. The past 2 years they have managed it very poorly... last year they told the crowd they did not care about any line and they would give the tickets to whomever got to the employees first... when the police threatened to clear the lot (I thought for sure there was going to be a riot) they decided to re-create the line. Hopefully the one we go to this year will manage it better.
  3. That is exactly what we do. My wife has 2 or 3 things she goes for then gets in line... I get the rest and join her. Saves us about 3 hours of waiting in line time!
  4. I am bringing the kids (5, 7, & 9), it has become our tradition and they talk about it all year. Lots of stuff to stay warm (propane heater, 2 k-1 heaters, and a generator with a space heater to go inside the larger tent. Two tents (smaller for sleeping goes inside the larger), air matress, chairs, Thanksgiving dinner, plenty of snacks, Boy scout popcorn (for the hungry who came unprepared... helps our local troup and feeds the crowd, plus I get a letter from BB saying it is OK in case the police decide to give me a hard time), hand warmers, and my wife and the baby will be on stand by 2 miles away and will swoop in to pack everything up before the doors open. I am also concidering the PP idea. Thinking about trying to get some local sponcers so no one will have to pay.
  5. I'll be glad to do the same on my PP at no charge. Would not mind a t-shirt, though.
  6. First time in Wichita, KS. Anyone know what times the lines start here at BB. In Anderson, SC #2 got in line about 8:00 AM Thanksgiving Day (I was #1, got there much earlier). P.S. For anyone in Anderson, SC the BB there managed Black Friday very badly for the last 2 years. Last year waited over 21 hours and almost got nothing because mgmt said to the crowd they did not care about any line, they would give the tickets to whomever got them first. When the police almost cleared the parking lot they decided to re-create the line.
  7. The DS Lite is the latest version. Kind of like the PS3 is the latest playstation. If you get one in the store now it will be the lite.
