    Washer & Dryer

Usually appliances are not ticket items. Most of the time they order direct from the warehouse, its doubtful the store would have any instock. Usually they have a large amount of appliances available to order, I've personally never heard of a major appliance selling out within the first few hours.
  2. I'm still fairly surprised they haven't dropped the Dynex 32" down to $246 to match Target and Walmart. Nobody will be fooled into thinking Dynex is higher quality then Emerson and Westinghouse, so I'm quite surprised there hasn't been a drop in price yet. They must be banking people will buy their tv at Best Buy anyway, regardless of cost compared to Walmart.
  3. Definitely doing tickets, no way Best Buy would be dumb enough to allow a free for all on electronics.
  4. Well, so much for people expecting no lines at Best Buy, the HP name on this cheap laptop will bring shoppers out in droves. It's probably the same quality as that emachines, but the HP name is always popular with customers.
  5. 255w has the ability to speak street names,"turn left onto Main St" as opposed to "turn left in 200 ft"on the 205w. The 255w is the doorbuster in the ad for gps. I find the speak street names feature somewhat helpful. Also the 255 series has an updated UI, so a little easier to navigate, with a few other small features the 205w lacks. The other model you mention, the 255wt has free traffic as well, but I find that a very useless service.
  6. Let's cross our fingers together. Hopefully Brad and the gang might be able to pull a list from someone at corporate with a lsit of items that will be available online.
  7. If your store is anything like mine, you'll be loaded with plenty of what you want for Black Friday items. Our store has 6 or 7 pallets just sitting on the sales floor wrapped since there is no room in their warehouse.
  8. If you absolutely must have good picture quality and need the few extra connections other brands include, then the Emerson might not be right for you. If you just want a tv for the bedroom, and don't plan to watch much high def tv or bluray movies on it, then the tv should be perfect. There is probably a higher fail rate chance on it compared to the name brands, but probably not much worse. If you do want great color and detail, and love to play lots of high def content and games, the Samsung 32" B360 should be dropping to $399 or less soon, and the Sony 32" in the Walmart ad for $398. Both of them are much wiser and safer choices.
  9. There will be a massive line for that tv. If you love cheap, I'm sure it will do ok, the price is great. The Sony 32" for $398 is a great deal as well if you want a name brand. It will be interesting to see if Best Buy makes last minute price moves, because they are losing on prices for laptops, tv's, gps, the bluray player and movies, and the DS game system to Walmart and Target. Not good for them! I wouldn't be surprised Best Buy doesn't post an official flyer online in the next few days, with readjusted prices.
  10. Best Buy usually adds a link to their front page for any specials. Also sign up for Deal of The Day texts on their website, they will text you their daily deals, which sometimes are good, sometimes suck.
  11. It's a special SKU just for Black Friday, normally only available for order through the website. The warehouses will receive quantities for customers to order, but they may not actually have any physically instore, since stores do not have enough inventory space for the big stuff. That's typical for some of the bigger items like major appliances and 50" tv's.
  12. Any brand of tv can fail, it's a myth that off brands like Westinghouse are less reliable. All tv companies have terrible customer service, share parts amongst brands, and are all built in the same chinese factories. The only thing you'll not get on an off brand tv is a better picture and maybe a few less controls and connections for the tv, but for most, it won't be needed. Just as many people have a Sony or Samsung break 18 months in. Sometimes it is the tv that failed, sometimes it is caused by lack of proper surge protection.
  13. Majority of ad items besides usually big ticket doorbusters (tv's and appliances) are almost always available at 12:01am Thanksgiving day online. That's when I do my Best Buy BF shopping.
  14. Don't expect any secret sales, though they might have a couple last minute price changes to tv's for the day after. Best Buy is all abotu spreading out their deals throughout the holidays. 2 weeks ago we had the uber cheap Panasonic tv, and last week they offered a $249 laptop. I imagine the trend will continue.
  15. [quote=vally1978;1647055 Its hard to get excited about BF when I am always reading nothing but disappointing messages on these boards. Maybe we should just stop going out on BF if its such a disappointing experience for everyone who complains about ads being so horrible. Yeah, ever year its the same thing. There are some good deals, and there are some deals in the ad not so good, but its a typical Black Friday ad. Those who say they have been going to BBY for 10 years and going to stop this year probably won't. We hear the same "umimpressed" message on every page of this forum. Reality set in a couple years ago with al lthe leak sites that you can't have all your best deals on one day out of the year, whic his why we see Walmart do Saturday specials every week, and Best Buy offered their uber cheap laptops and tv's 1 to 2 weeks ago. People will show up for the Black Friday deals regardless ,they have the average shopper figured out.
  16. Some employees will tell you how many the warehouse has in-stock, but some might keep it secret depending on the store policy, your best bet is to call around on Wednesday and get someone to check for you.
  17. b500 is the same as the a500 black friday tv from last year. Specially manufactured model just for the holiday specials. They are just as good qualtiy as any other Samsung tv.
  18. There is no 32" or 40" as cheap as Target, but if you go deeper in the ad, they got some name brand models from Samsung and Sony at the lowest prices I have seen. The Dyson deal from Target is in this ad as well. I liked the Magellan gps offer in the ad, but I think the TomTom in the Target ad is better, though the SE4 is a new model I believe. The game and movie deals are what impressed me, and I'll be on their website shopping for these for sure. For those looking for cheap laptops, Best Buy already had a $249 laptop a couple days ago, and I'm sure they'll rerun that deal throughout the holidays, so just keep an eye on the Gottadeal website. Overall, it was a good ad, but their doorbusters aren't quite as good as what Target has for electronics. Still though, it won't stop massive lines from forming at the stores, because there are some movie and game deals that are hard to pass up.
  19. Good to know, just thought I'd mention it in case someone might care. I figured it would be lame, the online ones usually are.
  20. http://indyposted.com/6102/best-buy-black-friday-ad-for-2009-now-available/ It's out there, but might have to wait for the first leak. Also, ZDNET supposedly had mentioned that the ad was out, but has since removed it from their website. Also, it is revealed there will be an early Thanksgiving sale as well online starting tomorrow... http://www.i4u.com/article28310.html
  21. Word is it should hit later tonight, or tomorrow morning.
  22. Was wondering why the site was running so sluggish, you got yourself all over the news! Nice job, this was a great ad by Target, they will have one mad rush on BF.
  23. Love how people are not impressed with this ad, it blows any away I have seen in a couple years. Then again, has there ever been a year gone by on this site where a bunch of people don't complain about every ad, just because that 1 item they wanted isn't listed? The TV deals are great, you don't need 1080p on a 40" or lower. The Dyson DC17 is 200 dollars off, that's a hell of a deal on a great vacuum. Lots of the small appliances and movie deals were great as well. Lots of gift card options on other items as well. The TomTom GPS on the front page is real good as well, and doubt it will be beaten. It speaks street names, has lane guidance, and has the 4.3" screen for under $100!
  24. If you are looking for cheap, Best Buy has a $249 Acer laptop beginning tomorrow. Specs include Intel Celeron 900 processor, 2GB memory and a 160GB hard drive. It will be available in store and online.
  25. The ad hold drops to stores on 11/13, so you are correct, the ad should leak anytime now. I'm counting on Best Buy to give us some good Blu-Ray movie deals. Not much else I'm interested in, though they always find something to tempt me into buying that I didn't know I wanted. I do want to see what tv deals they will have this year. I doubt we'll see much for computers, they already got their computers at some of the lowest prices I've seen.
