  1. Be careful to double check Amazon's price. I have found things cheaper on Amazon than on the open-box site.
  2. Just adding my 2 cents... My blue from AmEx gets me the best rewards/dollar spent. I get about 4x the amount of reward from them than I do from my Visa. But not everywhere takes AmEx, that's why I have the Visa.
  3. I have been. I didn't feel it was worth it, but I am 30 minutes from 3 of the largest outlet centers out there (VF, Rockvale/Tanger, and Philadelphia Outlet Center) and the promotions that I catch during the year are just as good as the ones that go on at midnight Black Friday. Personally, I am not a night person, so I like just going to bed early and getting up early to hit the non-outlet stores.
  4. That's what I do to our cat! I wrap her like a baby with her front paws sticking out!
  5. I never really shopped in an ACE until I moved to where I'm at now. I love the store and the prices are not outrageous like I thought they would be. I will probably be making a stop at ACE sometime on BF.
  6. Just a note: The links do not seem to be mapped right, so when you click on a shrub, it takes you to a different shrub. You have to click around a little to find what you want. I also think this is a great thing, but am a little skeptical of the site. Whoever orders, let us know how it worked out for you!
  7. We traded our Flag Day holiday (I work for the government) for the day after Thanksgiving! I always hated having to go into work after being out shopping!
  8. I agree with this policy. I worked in retail for 4 long years and we were constantly having our counts screwed up by people buying things elsewhere and returning to our store because of our lenient return policies. Heck, we even took back something that clearly had another store's price tag on!
  9. I thought they closed all the outlet stores. I know they closed the ones in Reading and Lancaster, PA.
  10. I will be in either Lancaster, PA or Reading, PA depending on the ads!
  11. I had the same experience working at Kmart. I had an irate customer one time that called me every name in the book (in front of her kids no less) when I told her I didn't have a book to match the Martha Stewart paint to her home fashions. I actually had no clue what she was talking about and still don't, but she insisted she heard it on Martha Stewart. In fact my dept. manager had no clue. Well, after letting her call me names, and not saying anything, but I was sorry I couldn't help her, she stormed off and told a manager that I didn't know what I was doing, etc. She got a gift card and I got told about it. He didn't even ask me what happened!!! I am so glad I don't work there anymore!
  12. Thanks! I got Bridal Guide, Shape, Spin, and Rachel Ray!
  13. Yes they do. I think Belkin makes a generic one and apple has their brand one. I don't know if Best Buy sells them, but their avail online anywhere from $8.00 up.
  14. I got mine at Best Buy. It was around $4.00 for my Sansa mp3.
  15. Hi all! My name is Sue. I live in the heart of Amish Country (Lancaster, PA), where we have great shopping! I am engaged and will be married 10/10/09! I will gain 3 beautiful step-daughters (20, 15, 11) after I'm married. I am finishing up my Master's in Criminal Justice. while working full-time as a counselor in a jail. I love working out when I find the time to do so! I really don't like shopping in general, but I love a great deal and I find Gottadeal is is best site for finding deals! Let the Black Friday madness begin!
  16. I agree. This is the one we also got last year on BF. My finacee loves it!

    too soon?

I'm so excited! I can't wait till Black Friday!
  18. Sorry they didn't have any at my Target. In fact, their electronics clearance wasn't much of anything!
  19. I am going after work today. If they have it, I will pick one up for you!
  20. I have a Food Saver. I have had it for about a year and a half. I LOVE it!!! I use it for my meats (Hint: I thrown the marinade in before sealing and then freeze it. It seems to permeate the meat and it's so flavorful when cooked!), sometimes fruits and veggies also. And it there is a snack that has been opened, but I know nobody will eat for a while, I seal that also. I have the Wine Saver bottle stoppers also. These are probably my fav b/c I am the only one in the house that drinks wine. It doubles the life of the wine once opened. It has honestly saved me a lot of money from food/wine going bad. I don't know offhand which model I have. It's not the one with the roll attached to the saver tho. I think it was around $100 in Dec 2006.
  21. Thanks! I not only am a college student (graduate student), but I also work for county government and the fiancee is employed by the evil entity known as Clear Channel! So we already get the CC discount...I am wondering if we can get the iPhone discount also...hmm
  22. We have a store called Just Cabinets up here and that's where I get all my cabinets. I think they are affiliated with Ollies somehow.
  23. In my experience you can only have one Ticketmaster window open. What happens is each captcha seems to change to the new one when you open that window. I think it's a security thing so people can't by more than the limit at the same time. But it doesn't matter since scalping sites seem to get every ticket anyway! I refuse to buy through Ticketmaster due to the fees and the pathetic seats I am usually offered!
  24. It's usually late July sometime if I remember correctly.
  25. Here's a review of the 500. And here's one of the DLX. It seems the DLX has more temp. options (6 vs 4), but the 500 has a pre-wash/auto soak cycle. Hope this helps!
