My DD 9 hasn't gone the last few years, she just doesn't want to. She still dresses up for the school party but has no desire to go trick or treating. On the other hand, my friends 80 year old grandfather still goes every year, lol.

When I was a kid, my mom would take my little brother christmas shopping with her and when they got home I would pay him to tell me what she got me. Terrible, I know. Taking advantage of a 3 year old, lol. My sister and I were horrible. We would unwrap our gifts, play with them, and then wrap them back up. Luckily for me, my daughter is nothing like me and could care less about finding her presents. DH is the same way. I really don't have to hide things very good because they don't go snooping. DH on the other hand, has to wait until Christmas eve to shop for me because he knows I will find it.

Thanks to everyone who replied to me. I am so excited to start shopping for my person!! Do we ever reveal who we had? Oh, and do you make your own cards or send store bought ones? I usually make my own christmas cards but that might end up being a lot, LOL.

I paid with Visa and just chose "No Thanks" when the verified by visa thing came up. -
this is my first year participating. How many names do we get? Specifically, how many do we buy for if we are doing the secret santa?

thanks for your response. I was glad you put your kids body types so I have an idea if they will fit her or not. She is pretty slim, I always buy her slim jeans. As for the pants being too long, she will just have to deal with it, LOL I have had to my whole life and I'm sure she will have to as well. Thanks again for the insight.

We always had stockings growing up and I do stockings for my family as well. They usually consist of a dvd, a video game, candy, maybe some perfume and any other little goodies I find throughout the year. I have tried to get my dh to fill my stocking but he never has, so I fill my own. Kind of lame, I know, but at least it isn't empty.

How old is the baby? -
We got the 1 gig on sale last november for $24.99 including an accessory kit. It was a cute gift, but we couldn't get it to work. After trying to install the software on 3 different computers we finally tried mattel to see if they could help us. They of course were totally useless and I ended up calling amazon and returning it. They said it was defective and that happens frequently. After returning it, I ended up getting her the ipod shuffle, which I should have done all along.
