Xbox 360 kinect best buy supply???
dancergirlmom replied to heyhil's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I got one last week at a Gamestop in Upstate, NY. Do you have those? The price seems to be the same everywhere...and Gamestop's customer service is very nice. A lot of young guys willing to help out clueless moms! -
Just be aware that the one year warranty on Ipods from Apple...starts on the day it was sent to the store, if you buy one from somewhere other than an Apple store. So - if it's been sitting on Walmart's shelf for 3 months, you only get a 9 month warranty. If you buy it from an Apple store - you get 1 year from the date it was purchased. My daughter's 2nd generation actually broke (half of the screen froze) at just under a year - and since it was purchased from an Apple store...they replaced it for free. Also, you can "recycle" any Ipod at the Apple store (no matter how old) and get 10% off your new Ipod.

The Claw ( candy crane game)?
dancergirlmom replied to ourhappyfamily4's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
This was all my daughter wanted last year....I finally found one at CVS for around $20 - but beware, each CVS only carried maybe 1 or 2, so it took me 5 or 6 locations to find one. -
Looking for an Apple Laptop deal
dancergirlmom replied to jerseygurl's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Be careful with the white ones - they get dirty/look old much quicker than the silver....I've heard they don't hold up as well either (can crack). If you go to the Apple Store - they will help you with what you need...they don't work on commision. My brother runs an IT department, and what he told me we needed for my teenage daughter, was exactly what the people in the store said. If you don't know anything about Apples - you might want the "extended warrenty" which includes help over the phone whenever you have questions. The "genius bars" in the store are great also - you make an appointment on line, and you can bring your laptop to get help with any problems/questions at no charge. We used the student discount as well...it was definitely the way to go. Good luck! -
Sounds crazy - but have you checked Walmart online? They have a whole bunch of stuff that's not in their stores...and they'll ship to their stores for free. Also try Target online. They too have things not in their stores. Ikea has great rugs - if there's one near you...

I always go to www.magazinepricesearch.com and it tells me who has the lowest price. Just make sure that you save copies of your e-mails confirming your purchases - I've occasionally had issues with subscriptions not starting, or sending one or two issues than stopping.

CVS & Coupon Question
dancergirlmom replied to dancergirlmom's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I could have sworn that at BJ's - they will take multiple coupons off of a multi-pack, as long as they are actual packages (example - two boxes of cereal wrapped together, not just one big box of cereal with two bags inside the box). -
Hope you folks can help me with a question. At CVS today, I tried to buy a multi-pack of Windex spray (two bottles shrink wrapped together). They wouldn't let me use two $.55 individual coupons OR one $1.00/off of 2 coupons. They said they have to treat the multi-pack as one item. Is that correct? They even called someone else over and they also said no their computers won't allow it.

Kenmore appliances - Sears
dancergirlmom replied to nmiracles's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Be aware that their service is terrible too! The service people make their own schedules, independent of the store, and seemingly answer to no one. We've had nightmare experiences with being told they will come in a 4 hour period, wait around, they don't come during that time, and then when they do - they don't have the part, so you have to reschedule (and sit around!) all over again. I made countless calls/complaints and no one cared. I will NEVER buy from Sears again. -
I have that same type from Sears. I honestly wouldn't recommend either Sears or this type of fridge - but that's just me. Sears service is horrible! We had a problem with our fridge during the first year we had it (so it was under warranty). It took hours of phone calls and 4 visits with hours of me sitting around all afternoon to get it fixed...and I've since had something else break on it - and it's only 2 years old. I've also come to hate the freezer on the bottom. Everything gets lost in there - it's just like a kids toybox...where everything gets buried at the bottom, and you have no idea what's in there. Just my opinion...but wanted to share. :)

Now I looked at BB&B and Kohls, too! Am I looking in the wrong spots? Are they so popular they are probably sold out? I just tried looking at their online sites to see if I could figure out where they'd have them in the store - and I couldn't find them on either website. And, yes, unfortunately -the Sears one is only online. Chanukah starts this Friday, so I'd really like to not have to wait for something to be shipped. Thanks for your help!

Do you have any Christmas Tree Shops? I buy them there all of the time - pillars, votives, you name it...

I highly recommend Dansko Professional Clogs and anything by Naot - both expensive, but worth it.

IHome for a good price
dancergirlmom replied to dancergirlmom's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Unfortunately - we don't have Costco in our area - just BJ's and Sam's Club. -
My son got the new Ipod Nano for his birthday and now wants to use birthday money to buy an Ihome. He'd like one that plays the Ipod, charges it, and also works as an alarm clock - letting you wake up to the Ipod. Most of them are around $70-80, but I know I've seen them cheaper. Anyone found a good one for under $50?

American Girl Doll clothes
dancergirlmom replied to mesarobins's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
What you need to look for are clothes/accessories made for 18" dolls. Target has a line that includes clothes, salon chair, beds, etc. Just be aware - the doll shoes are plastic and don't fit unless you cut a slit down the back of the heel with scissors. Even places like Michaels/Jo-Ann Fabrics carry some clothes/accessories in their doll making area - and you can use your coupons. -

Need advice on Single Cup Coffee Makers!!
dancergirlmom replied to Scanner420's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I have this - and I love it! Bed Bath and Beyond usually has the best price b/c you can use a 20% coupon. They are also the best place to buy the coffee pods - again b/c of the coupons. Or you can order them directly online from Keurig and other places. It's great when one person wants decaf, another regular, another flavored, etc. I do still have a regular coffee pot, though, for a large group - as it's kind of a pain to make 10 cups of coffee from it. I have a basket that I throw all of my cups into - and people love the choice! -
LG Washer and Dryer (front load)
dancergirlmom replied to angelraesmom's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I just bought a new set this July, and after reading Consumer Reports - went with one of the top rated, GE frontloading sets. I am very happy with them. My main advice would be - whatever you decide on, DON'T GET IT FROM SEARS! I have a refrigerator and a vacuum from them, and their service is a nightmare!!! It took 5 service calls to get a part fixed on my fridge that was less than a year old and under warranty. Their service people don't work out of the stores, don't come when they say they will, have no managers to deal with complaints - and basically don't care if you're happy or not. I will never buy an appliance from them ever again. I called a local appliance store for my washer/dryer and they price matched the lowest price I found (which happened to be at Best Buy). -
crocs B1G1 & FREE shipping sitewide and 25% code
dancergirlmom replied to amazingone's topic in Online Hot Deals
That also happened to me. I ordered 2 pairs, my e-mails all said I was getting both pairs, and only 1 pair shipped - with no explanation. I called Crocs and was told the other pair was oos. They did let me order another color and are sending it to me...but the pickings are slim!
