  1. We're in Upstate NY...and I was warned about the same thing with Homeowners Insurance.
  2. I got one last week at a Gamestop in Upstate, NY. Do you have those? The price seems to be the same everywhere...and Gamestop's customer service is very nice. A lot of young guys willing to help out clueless moms!
  3. Just be aware that the one year warranty on Ipods from Apple...starts on the day it was sent to the store, if you buy one from somewhere other than an Apple store. So - if it's been sitting on Walmart's shelf for 3 months, you only get a 9 month warranty. If you buy it from an Apple store - you get 1 year from the date it was purchased. My daughter's 2nd generation actually broke (half of the screen froze) at just under a year - and since it was purchased from an Apple store...they replaced it for free. Also, you can "recycle" any Ipod at the Apple store (no matter how old) and get 10% off your new Ipod.
  4. This was all my daughter wanted last year....I finally found one at CVS for around $20 - but beware, each CVS only carried maybe 1 or 2, so it took me 5 or 6 locations to find one.
  5. Be careful with the white ones - they get dirty/look old much quicker than the silver....I've heard they don't hold up as well either (can crack). If you go to the Apple Store - they will help you with what you need...they don't work on commision. My brother runs an IT department, and what he told me we needed for my teenage daughter, was exactly what the people in the store said. If you don't know anything about Apples - you might want the "extended warrenty" which includes help over the phone whenever you have questions. The "genius bars" in the store are great also - you make an appointment on line, and you can bring your laptop to get help with any problems/questions at no charge. We used the student discount as well...it was definitely the way to go. Good luck!
  6. Sounds crazy - but have you checked Walmart online? They have a whole bunch of stuff that's not in their stores...and they'll ship to their stores for free. Also try Target online. They too have things not in their stores. Ikea has great rugs - if there's one near you...
  7. I always go to www.magazinepricesearch.com and it tells me who has the lowest price. Just make sure that you save copies of your e-mails confirming your purchases - I've occasionally had issues with subscriptions not starting, or sending one or two issues than stopping.
  8. I could have sworn that at BJ's - they will take multiple coupons off of a multi-pack, as long as they are actual packages (example - two boxes of cereal wrapped together, not just one big box of cereal with two bags inside the box).
  9. Hope you folks can help me with a question. At CVS today, I tried to buy a multi-pack of Windex spray (two bottles shrink wrapped together). They wouldn't let me use two $.55 individual coupons OR one $1.00/off of 2 coupons. They said they have to treat the multi-pack as one item. Is that correct? They even called someone else over and they also said no their computers won't allow it.
  10. Be aware that their service is terrible too! The service people make their own schedules, independent of the store, and seemingly answer to no one. We've had nightmare experiences with being told they will come in a 4 hour period, wait around, they don't come during that time, and then when they do - they don't have the part, so you have to reschedule (and sit around!) all over again. I made countless calls/complaints and no one cared. I will NEVER buy from Sears again.
  11. I have that same type from Sears. I honestly wouldn't recommend either Sears or this type of fridge - but that's just me. Sears service is horrible! We had a problem with our fridge during the first year we had it (so it was under warranty). It took hours of phone calls and 4 visits with hours of me sitting around all afternoon to get it fixed...and I've since had something else break on it - and it's only 2 years old. I've also come to hate the freezer on the bottom. Everything gets lost in there - it's just like a kids toybox...where everything gets buried at the bottom, and you have no idea what's in there. Just my opinion...but wanted to share. :)
  12. I found it at a CVS - there was only one and at another CVS they told me they only got 2 or 3 in for the whole season. No one at any Walgreens knew what I was talking about...
  13. I finally found one this afternoon after visiting 5 CVS, and 4 Walgreens! Thanks for everyone's help!! :)
  14. Now I looked at BB&B and Kohls, too! Am I looking in the wrong spots? Are they so popular they are probably sold out? I just tried looking at their online sites to see if I could figure out where they'd have them in the store - and I couldn't find them on either website. And, yes, unfortunately -the Sears one is only online. Chanukah starts this Friday, so I'd really like to not have to wait for something to be shipped. Thanks for your help!
  15. Hmmm...I checked a Walgreens and CVS near me, and neither had it. I'll try different locations. Thanks!
