I live in the area and have been to that BB many times already. My mom and db live about 5 minutes away. I have a suspicion that the shopping center is going to be extremely packed on BF. The other BB's are in Clarksville, Rivergate and Cool Springs, so therefore, everyone in the Nashville area will be at that new one. If you have things to get at Target, you might want to buy your items before BF and have them do a price adjustment, check out the Target thread for more details. I would go to the Old Navy at Bellevue Mall, it probably won't be as crowded (it is still there, isn't it?)

I agree with Jabsther, if your son is going to college he will need a graphing calculator, regardless of his major. I would check pawn shops and ebay and get the best deal you can. You might even check the classifieds at the local college (if there is one nearby), or Craigslist.

I'm trying to find an inflatable Bumble aka Abominable Snowman (monster from Rudolph movie). Anyone seen one? The people up the street have one and my dh loves it, I wanted to find one for our yard. TIA.

mahalia, I would buy the new nintendogs ds lite bundle. It's a pink ds lite with a paw print on the front and comes with the nintendogs game. my dd12 has the game and really enjoys it. I thought I saw it for $139 in one of the ads...yep, CC has it. BB has the bundle for $150, but you also get Over the Hedge game too. I think Kmart has the best deal, the bundle is $150, but you get a $25 gift card by mail.

I haven't done BF at CC yet, but thinking I will this year. Do they hand out tickets like BB, or is it a stampede like Walmart?

All games systems have a set MSRP, the Wii is $249 for the basic bundle. If it's a new bundle with some games (besides Wii Sports) and extra stuff, then it might be more. Wii's are out there, in stores and online, you just have to check regularly to get one, they sell out fast.

I'm looking to get a mp3 for dd12(13 in feb) and possibly one for dn13. I was going to get dd the new nano, and dn a shuffle, but have seen some others with more gb for less. I have a 60gb ipod, ds17 has a gen2 nano. Can someone let me know how good the Zune and and Sandisk Sansa are? If I can save a little and keep decent quality, I'd rather do that! -
Enter code "getcozy" at checkout. www.victoriassecret.com

I get the biggest turkey I can find in the store, usually 20+ lbs. We will have 13 for T-day, that I know of anyway (dh's family members like to show up sometimes). Dh cooks t-day dinner, including dessert, I just help with a few things, and of course I get the joy of the inevitable cleanup.

My dd12 loves HS Musical, Hannah Montana, and the rest of the disney tween shows. She wants the HSM2 dvd for xmas. She likes the Sims games, whether for a game system, computer or internet. Aeropostale is probably her favorite for clothes, used to be Limited Too, but they don't fit her right anymore (I guess they aren't quite made for girls who are starting to get their curves ). The magazine she likes the most is U14, because it has lots of pictures of the people she likes (HSM cast, Jonas Bros., Hannah/Miley, etc.). She already has a DS, but I saw they came out with a new pink DSlite that comes with Nintendogs and has two little paw prints on the cover, looks very cute. (price was $130, might be better on BF). If dd didn't already have ds and nintendogs, I would get it for her. They also have one for boys that comes with Zelda and is a gold color to match.

I like the self-checkouts, hate the people who can't figure out how to use them. The whole "personal interaction" thing is overrated. I'm not there for personal interaction (especially from a cashier), I'm there to get what I need and get out as quickly as possible. When I do need a person, (ie - trying to find an item), there is never one around and if you manage to track one down, they seem annoyed that you stopped them to ask for help.

Personal Shopping Assistants on Black Friday experiences??
princez916 replied to DramaQueenLucy's topic in 2007
For those that have used PSA's in the past, what did you have them pull for you? -
We do both. Kids are all old enough that they know it's all from us anyway, but everyone gets a stocking (including the dogs) and everyone gets a santa present, which is usually a big $$$ item that they really wanted. The kids are allowed to go through their stockings when they get up (lets mom and dad sleep a little longer ) The rest is from mom and dad, siblings, or the dogs. They don't really read the tags (except DD). I'll put their nicknames on the tags too or things like "To the little man from the big man", just to mix it up a little (it gets boring filling them all out, I need some entertainment!)

XBOX 360 or Playstation 3????
princez916 replied to Dena Neal's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
It's not that the 80GB can't play ps2 games, they just aren't guaranteeing that it will play all ps2 games. This is what it says: "This product has limited backward compatibility with PlayStation® and PlayStation®2 format software. Many PlayStation®2 format software titles operate, but full compatibility is not guaranteed. Updating the system software may improve compatibility. Visit the playstation website for system software updates." I don't think the 60GB is any different, they just didn't have the wording there yet. After complaints of some ps2 games not working, they added the disclaimer. We have the Wii and ps3, oldest son's bf has xbox360 (my kids are 17, 14, 12). When all systems are at my house, the ps3 gets the most play. They love playing online. Parents hate online b/c the kids can't pause the game because their online . It gets very annoying. Dh and I love the Wii and just recently downloaded the classic Mario Bros. and Galaga. Although you do have to pay for the downloads. -
Has anyone done BF online? Can you do BF online? I've never tried but have seen some references to getting the items online and wonder how feasible that is? Do they have the same deals online as in the fliers? What time/day can you buy them online if they do? Any info is appreciated.

Best Buy Black Friday Ticket System, FAQ and Sample Ticket

I love BF, and love BB even more, but I couldn't get in line on Wednesday. Spending time with my family on Turkey Day is more important then any material item. I got to BB on BF at about 3:30 a.m. last year. The line was very long, but I still got everything I went for. Of course, I didn't need/want a computer, laptop or tv.
