I posted the below paragraph in another thread here. I will repost here in case it is helpful. I do not know which version of Brave that my husband picked up, but he said it rang up at the sale price. I got the impression that there was a display of the DVD. My husband went to WalMart this evening and was looking for Brave. He did not find it with the rest of the DVDs. When he was checking out he spotted them in a separate area that was roped off. It was in one of those spaces that some WalMarts have in the very front of their stores along with the vision center, etc. He checked out, grabbed an ad, took his stuff to the car and came back in to buy Brave at the sale price.

The Lorax was still $3.99 this evening.

My son went with my husband two years ago when he was 13. Hubby does the Black Friday shopping while I stay home with kiddos. The only bad thing about him taking my son was that when the rest of us met up with them my son kept telling his big sister about all the cool things they bought that morning. Unfortunately some of those cool things were her Christmas presents. Last year my then 14 and 17 year olds went with my husband. This year he probably works Black Friday so he will tell work that he will be in late and hit some stores before he goes in. That is actually how we started Black Friday shopping. My husband often had to work that day and the stores are in the town where he works so he would just leave early to shop before he went to work.

If you search online you can always find codes to get free extra minutes that bring the cost per minute down with tracfone.

I don't know of a time limit on activation. On the Tracfone website you can get a refurbished LG 500G for $19.99 and it comes with a 60 minute card which is a $20 value. So basically a free phone. I got a similar/same phone as Spice9195 at Dollar General last winter for $5. My daughter gets her service through pagepluswireless.com and she can get a year of service and 1000 minutes for $80. If you don't want to buy one of their phones you have to do some research to make sure you get the right phone.

Stocking ideas: Pens or other writing instruments, flashlight, flavored coffee, other snacky items, jump drive, memory card....

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good keyboard for an ipad? The kids got Ipads to use from the school this year. Since they aren't ours I don't want to spend a lot; at the same time I will have kid(s) in the school system for the next umpteen years....Thanks!

The Kindle Fires are tablets; my understanding is that some of the Kindles are just ereaders. I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong....

My daughter is currently getting a smart phone set up for service with Pageplus Cellular. http://www.pagepluscellular.com/ It runs on the Verizon network and is prepaid. If you don't need much data it is a good deal. My daughter will keep her data turned off and will use Wifi when it is available.

When you assemble the tree you don't have to put the branches on the back half. Or you could possibly bend the branches.

I got some $2 subs the other night; there is just a small $2 sticker or sign by the $2 subs.

My 8yo daughter wants a diary with a lock and key. I'm not sure what else to get her. She says she wants a Baby Alive, but I think that is because a friend got one for her birthday last month; she is more of a plushie girl than a doll girl. She'd like an ipad, that is not happening. She also likes books. She just got light up skechers for her birthday and loves them.

I mentioned to my daughter that they could add us to their membership. I did see though that family members are supposed to live at the same address to be on the same account, so I don't know if that matters or not. Anyway, I did some more Christmas shopping so I got free shipping for myself, and the ds game was still 8.24 this evening. While I was still shopping this evening the price of Tangled (DVD) dropped about 4.50 I think, unless I am loosing it... I think when I first saw it it was 19.98 or so. Later it was 15.49. Yay! Also got my son Super Mario 64 for the DS this morning for $10 from someone selling it from Facebook, yay!
