When my kids were young (2-3) they even helped put stuff on the tree. I would buy unbreakables and they would decorate the lower branches, but for some reason they like to put all the ornaments on the same two branches. As far as lots of toys I wouldn't get so much as they get overwhelmed. I had a friend that gave her kid so much stuff that it took hours and the kid didn't want to do it because she wanted to play with the first thing or two.

My daughter and grandchildren moved to the other coast so I am buying online and having it sent there and my daughter will wrap. For her and SIL I will buy and mail. Also have another daughter out of state that I need to send something to. I mailed a photo album a few weeks ago. Wasn't that big or heavy and it cost $15.

I bought candy the other day when it was 75% off and today went back and got more at 90%. There was a couple there that had 2 shopping carts full of candy, even the bottom shelf. What are they going to do with it all?

I just cook for my family. My brothers live about 140 miles away and one brother works the next day, so I cook for 5. My oldest daughter is across the country this year so I won't get to see her or her DH and grandchildren. She won't be here to do BF. We have been going together for the last few years. This year I am going to cook the turkey the day before, cut it up and put a can of turkey stock on it to keep it moist, then reheat. Never did that before but I saw that in a cooking show and my eldest DD said that is what her SIL does.

My FR tree I bought new ornaments for this year. They are aqua, orange, plum, green and blue. I have always had a traditional tree with ornaments from the 70's so I will see if I can do it. I started doing a tree in the LR a few years ago and use turquoise, blue and a little silver with clear icicles. Did a small DR last year with orange and turquoise but not doing that this year will just dress the chandler. Did do a small silver tree for the bathroom in purple last year, don't know if I am going to do it or not. My 3 girls each have a small tree and they do theirs how they like, if they do it at all.

My family is small so it isn't an issue but I had a friend who had 7 siblings and so did her DH. They pulled names for the adults and just bought one. They use to each buy the parents something and then started to chip in and buy them something big from all of them. Seemed to work out. One year the parents went on a cruise, another year they needed a fridge, etc.

When the kids were small I always made lasagna the day before so on Christmas I only had to put it in the oven and make salad. Sometimes I had a ham and other times not. Two years ago I made prime rib and have been having that. Love it and easy to make. I like to feel like I can have most of the day off too. Christmas eve I usually make shrimp and crab legs.

How and where do you get a reward certificate?

I didn't know about the sale, it wasn't in my paper. I will have to go tomorrow morning and see if they have anything left.

I got charged for shipping because my order went below the 75% with the 10% off, so I called and they are going to credit me for the shipping. Love Kohls. Didn't want to look around for something else at the time because these pans go fast. As it was I had to put them in my cart 5 times because when I got to the checkout they weren't there again.

Finally got the pot set but took 1/2 hour to keep in my shopping cart. I used code NEW5779 for 10% off but then they charged me for the shipping since in went under the $75, is that correct?

I want this set and keep missing it. Does anyone have a code if you don't have a Kohl's card?

I went earlier today and mine was pretty clean. I got some scotch tape for $.21 and a double roll of wrapping paper for $.39. Didn't really need anything so that was OK. I wish mine had the totes on clearance, mine had some on sale but that was it.

I am in SW FL and they are 75% off. Not to many trees left but lots of other stuff. Now I need to go buy more totes for my new Christmas stuff.

Was in JCPenney today and the clearence was 1/2 off the clearence price for a total of 75% or more off. I bought two purse's for least than $10 for both.

The dollar spot by mine was 50% off and they were bringing out boxes and boxes of the Christmas stuff that they didn't put out before Christmas. Most of the ornaments was wiped out as I got there about 11:00, went to another a few miles away and they had some Christmas stuff left. I bought some ornaments and of course more totes to store everything in.
