  1. I didn't have a problem with them price matching last year. I just brought in my ads from the different stores and if they were more they gave it to me for the cheaper price.
  2. I haven't had a douglas fir in many years as I have been doing artificial, but what I do remember is that they keep their needles well and they are beautiful trees. What I didn't like about them was that they are very soft trees and heavy ornaments must be put more in the middle and not on the tips.

    First Time at Target!?

I worked in Target a few years ago on BF, if you are going for a TV you need to be there about 5 because that is when they start lining up. They do stock quite a bit of the sale items because it is a two day sale, but really good deals go fast.
  4. I have a7 1/2 memory tree in the family room. It was ornaments from the last 20 years, some bought, some made and some gifts. In my dining room I put up a small 7 ft tree. Last year it was decorated with aqua and blues. May change it this year. In my dining room I put a 3 ft tree up with orange ornaments. In the guest bath we use a silver tree with purple and pink ornaments. My three girls each have a 2 or 3 ft tree that they decorate a little differently each year.

    How do you wrap?

I like to wrap and I buy all different kinds of paper because I like seeing different paper. I do use bags for somethings that are hard to wrap or if I only have a few to go and I am tired and want to get done. I try not to do the bows and ribbons until 12/23 or 12/24. My kids are getting older now so they don't get as many presents because they are more expensive so I have to stop buying so much paper.
  6. Thank you.
  7. PerkynPunctual that is a wonderful idea and I think I will start that. Another gift idea that I have done is the elementary school has there book sale in November and some teachers put out a wish list of books they would like to get for the class and I have bought a few and added other supplies to it such as stickers, pads, etc.
  8. Now that is funny. You have to give it back next year and see how long before it returns back to you.
  9. JCPenney's is having 1/2 off sale on trees. Starts 11/8.
  10. I guess that had them in my area, but they are all out.
  11. I checked with 4 in my area and they don't have any.
  12. I checked them all and now they say The requested products are currently not available online. I will try later.
  13. where in Michael's, don't think I have seen them in there?
  14. Thanks, I am going to go after I get the kids from the bus stop.
  15. I have a few friends that are teachers and most said they like gift cards because they don't get that much money for supplies and most take out of their pocket. What I try to do is give a ornament and a gift card. This year her teacher loves chocholate kisses so I will get a container and fill it with that along with the gift card. At times when they were in younger grades I would buy stickers, pads and stamps, etc. You can find alot of that stuff in the dollar store and make a nice basket also sold in the dollar store.
  16. Went today and mine has things 50, 60 and 70% off. They are pretty much cleaned out except for some flowers and leaves.
  17. Thanks, I am getting ready to go out and will have to stop there. I really don't need any more stuff but it is hard to pass up 90% off.
  18. I have two teens and a 10 year old at home plus two older kids, one with kids. When they were young I would give the same amount of presents, now I do it money wise but do try to give the same amount by going to the dollor store to even out, or at times I see something that could go to any of them and decide toward the end when I have to figure who gets what. As they get older the gifts get smaller and expensive.

    Done WRAPPING!

I haven't started yet. I use to be so good and wrap as I bought things and it didn't pile up but the last few years I wrap for about a week every night. I have bought all the presents for my grandchildren as they will be moving across country in early December so I do have to get moving on that.
  20. I usually get a 11 to 12 lb turkey, but this year my DD and her family will be here so I will get one around 18 lbs as there will be 9 of us.
  21. I think I will buy them now because it is a good price and don't want them to raise it or sell out if I wait to long.
  22. Thanks for the tip, I will wait a little while.
  23. Thank you, have to start shopping there more.
