Hi Folks, we got Snow and I am happy. Put out bird seed and suet and peanuts and water and watch the birds come and go. We have lots of woodpeckers and various song birds and a few squirrels, who cannot get into the suet feeder, Had tons of snow growing up, so it brings back fun times even though I’m not sledding. Feel awful for the California fires though. CANNOT imagine that. Happy New Year to all here

Our experience with Apple is that they are very happy to do or explain stuff. You can make a Genius bar appt and they are free. (sometimes I do stuff myself but sometimes they do it easier) There are free Apple manuals in the book app. (Some are not free)

Well, I have started a food basket for the hard to buy for. So far just seedless raspberry jam and blueberry syrup. Will add some maple syrup (I know they like) and go from there. No wrong size and no need to dust edit to add: we diid get some of those Fire Extinguishing Blankets that are being advertised. I think they might be nice (and hope to not-need).

We stopped having trees when we had multiple (failed foster ) Lab mixes who wagged their tails so wildly and often that the ornaments shot off and smashed on the walls Now its just table top and window sill ornaments

I have a question that I have been wondering about for quite some time. It’s even more relevant now, I think, with the privacy settings and tracking settings that you can block on various browsers. I only use an iPad for the Internet and 99% of our internet browsing. I never really understood how this site got the money to run the site and I am wondering if it is important to let some tracking occur or not be blocked so that the site can get the referral $ when you go to a website or online store and buy some items., especially if we go to the site directly from a Gottadeal post or link. Thank You Brad! Very cool gift and will definitely use it. (Still use quite a few of your gifts) Nice weather today but we are bouncing around from 50° to 79° and it has been very dry. The trees are changing and look good in spite of the drought.

Pumpkin Pie casserole 1 1 lb can of pumpkin 1 12 ounce can evaporated milk 2 eggs 3/4 cup sugar 1 1/2 teaspoons Cinnamon 3/4 teaspoon Ginger 3/4 teaspoon Nutmeg 1/4 teaspoon Allspice 1/4 teaspoon Mace Mix well and pour into large casserole dish. Bake at 375° for 50-60 minutes until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool. Enjoy.

Checking in for October. This year has been absolutely crazy. Lost our internet after 15 years and had quite a time trying to get one. Summer was extra hot and dry. Trying to get some maintenance done around here and ended up with an entirely new HVAC system. But health is ok. Dog is good. Cannot complain Now I can start shopping for some Dear and hard-to-buy-for people!

Checking in for August. The year is flying by! Had awfully hot weather this summer (more than the usual hot muggy Maryland summer) but the last few days have been delightful! (We call it Maine summer) i am just so happy my going back to school days are past. Keep cool , keep well.
