Apparently now they have changed their website to say the pants must be full price and some people's orders have been cancelled. Did this happen to anyone? Hopefully they will honor the orders that went through before they changed the offer terms. I can't check my order status unfortunately because they require you to have an account to find that out online and I don't want to call them...

Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2008

Hi! Wow - another rare Marylander on here! :) HI!!! I shop at the one right down the street from me in Ellicott City (rte 103, in Howard County). It is a great store, deals or not. We also have a bigger "Greatland" Target in Columbia which is only another 5 mins away but oddly, even though it is supposed to be bigger, I can't find as much there.. Funny, when I first read your note, I thought you were saying that you must not find any deals BECAUSE you ARE going to my store and I'm taking all of them, hee hee. I do usually try to leave some for others, even if I did take just about every short-sleeved Valentine shirt they had today. I probably go an average of 3-4 times every 2 weeks. Basically Perimeter Perusing has become my outlet for a "place" to take the kids (5, 3 and 11 mos) when I can't handle much more of an outing anywhere else, working around naps, school, etc. They think it is a big thrill just to go to Target for an hour so it works for all of us. Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2008

I was excited with my finds today. I got the last 8 Valentine Kelly dolls they had - found them right with the Barbies thank to you all! I plan to use them for favors at my daughter's birthday party. In the 75% off Valentine section, I got over 25 clothing items for girls and women, which really was great because I have been trying to help my aunt who collects clothing for a mission in Haiti and they can use all sizes. The only restriction which is imposed by the country is that they have to be new. So for $1.25 each I got all kinds of shirts and leggings to send down. I also found some slipper socks in the V-day section which I plan to use for Christmas gifts next year - they were just red with frogs or red and pink and don't really need to be for V-day at all. Our store still has plenty left, especially stuffed animals! If anyone needs party supplies, I stumbled upon the markdown team marking a whole bunch of themes 30% off. All the little individually wrapped favors that are normally 89 cents were being marked down too, as well as some of the larger favor packs. I didn't get any today but I'm hoping to score some when they go lower. I saw Hello Kitty, Elmo, Disney Princess and a bunch more popular themes that I'm sure we'll use at some point with 3 young kids... oh, and this weekend I found a use for all those giant blanket boxes I bought at Target during the 90% off Christmas clearance. :) I always run into issues with the large shaped birthday cakes I make because they won't fit into my normal cake containers and then I have no way of keeping them fresh overnight. So I put two of the blanket boxes together and taped them into one giant box and viola I have almost exactly what they use in bakeries. :) Small things make me happy. :) -
wow - thanks!! $11.62 total shipped for 3 pairs of pants and 1 nice pair of earrings. :) I had to order 2 of the same pant since there was only one style in my size, but I can always just donate them. Hopefully I did calculate the sizing right but if not, I still have a nice pair of earrings and can donate the other pairs too. great find!!!

Free Fisher Price Toy with select Infant Items at Toysrus.com

wow - great deal!! I don't think it is a re-post as I've been on here quite a bit lately and don't recall seeing it. :) -
I got it from retailmenot.com and they don't state an expiration, but in one of the comments next to the code someone stated it expired 2/22/08. Not sure if that is reliable though. In another comment someone said that after entering the code, at final checkout the shipping went back to regular and they just had to select the free option a second time, but this didn't happen to me... I have always been pleased with landsend customer service too...
-
hmmm...I had no problem using the code - sorry you did! To everyone, if you haven't ordered from Lands End before, they always make you enter both a code and a pin number, so make sure both are entered. You can even enter them and click apply before you type in your credit card info, and even though you'll get a warning saying you still need to enter your cc, the discount will still show at the bottom if it is valid...
-
thanks!! I think the code will work on everything on their site, but of course I didn't try everything. :) I also forgot to mention that if you type in "tote" once you're in the overstocks search box, several other styles will pop up for that same price, though the one I posted is the better deal, percentage-off-wise... The regular search box on their main page does not usually bring up any items within Overstocks. Isn't that sneaky! :)

I'm not worried - just really amazed actually that this GD thread is being referred to in articles. I know it sounds silly but when I'm here it seems like this little insular world, even though of course I know nothing on the net is really all that small anymore. But actually it would be fun to get a few new Marylanders on here to trade clearance tips with! :) -

oh no! and notice the article that this one refers to: http://www.wisebread.com/tips-for-perimeter-perusing-at-target totally refers to us and rips off Gator Pam's term "Perimeter Perusing!" (I'm assuming she came up with it...?) if anyone reads this we may well have a lot of new members headed our way. :) -

Geez - what is up with that?? Unless it is ANOTHER signage issue, I checked and my Target cafe sign definitely says $2 for the popcorn/small drink combo. It is a brand new rectangular sign that they just put out on the counter. The other deal signs are round and posted up above. The other combos are $2 or more, I think. I assume that merchandise prices are consistent throughout the country or else we'd notice all kinds of discrepancies on this board, but I'm wondering if the cafe food prices can be different per area, just like they are at places like McDonalds...? hmmm..bummer because I had just taken the time to ask the cafe guy to read the popcorn oil ingredients for me so I could get the deal for DS3 (who has severe food allergies so we have to always check). Then again, $2 is not going to break the bank, esp when i am getting great deals on other things. :) Seriously though, this state is getting so expensive lately it is ridiculous. -

they have Valentine ponies on sale? Must have missed that post! My son, yes, son has been getting in trouble at preschool lately for fighting over, of all things, the ponies. Probably since it might be the one and only toy we do not actually own in our home, lol! I'd love to score a cheap set if I could and use them as a reward for him improving his behavior with them at school! :) Do you have the DPCI? -

My store frequently has up the wrong clearance signs, so that make sense. Often they'll still have the 30% off signs up for stuff that has already gone to 75%. I just never paid a whole lot of attention to it before... (then again, since the fine print on those clearance signs says "or more" or something like that, maybe they just use them on purpose that way...hmm....) -

OK, regarding the Target popcorn/drink combo: didn't we all agree that it was $1 for both? All of a sudden I see a huge sign with a photo go up at our cafe saying that the popcorn/small drink combo is $2. Oh no!! Inflation rears its nasty head again, threatening to stunt my deal hunting! :) -

I agree. I guess my store is weird then! :) I remember stashing a costume I wanted deep within the rack when it was at 30% so I could try to get it when they went lower. Or perhaps it was a signage mistake that day and I should have scanned the items anyway because maybe they really were 50% and not 30?? Before joining this board I would never have thought to do that but now I would!! -

wow - that stinks! more state-by-state variations I guess that seem hard to explain! Even when I was working for a measly $4 an hour doing surveys in the mall, they MADE us take a lunch and one or two 15 minute breaks, as is required. I believe the rule says for every 8 hour shift you have to have 1 half hour break and 1 15 minute break, but don't quote me on that.. Or maybe it isn't really a "law" but a guideline?? I work for the federal govt now so of course they do follow it. I am dumbfounded as to how IN can get away with what they told you, but since the advent of internet message boards this is far from the first time my eyes have been opened as to how different states do things very differently (legally speaking) in all aspects of life...
