  1. :fluffy:thank you SO much! I just got the quilted tall boots and also the "Quebec" shorter boots for $9.99 that kind of look like Uggs to me. :) I am too embarrassed to state here just how old my current boots are, but let's just say they've got a lot of mileage. :) The total shipping for the entire order was $6.00 just like you said.
  2. I am so thankful to all of you for keeping me in the loop. I figured nothing would be left at my store today (Ellicott City, MD) but $95 later, I was a happy Mom. :) Got 2 of the Barbie Thrones ($12.xx), an Air Hogs plane ($9.xx) a tickle me Elmo keychain ($1.48), Barbie fairytopia tooth fairy doll/box ($1.48), Barbie Island Princess stylin Head ($9.xx), Only Hearts Club horse ($5.xx), Our Generation Spa set ($3.xx), Pirates of the Caribbean dress up set ($4.97), I Can Play guitar cartridge ($3.xx), LPS set ($2.xx), Family Feud ($5.xx), and Deal or No Deal ($9.xx?) games, Kool Toys Vacuum cleaner and doll set ($3.xx each) Thanks to all of you, I knew how to copy down the numbers off the larger items and then just punch them into the price checker machines so I didn't have to haul them over. The large playhouse was showing 50% off ($60.xx) but the smaller tents, etc were only 30% off.. I got a small Christmas Care Bear for $1.50 that got marked down to 75% off instead of 90% off but I got it anyway. Unbelievably, that Minty Christmas Little Pony tube was STILL $6.99!
  3. that stinks! I got my set of yellow towels the other day and was very pleased with them. I hope they do right by you! They have got to have the worst inventory system on the whole WWW!
  4. I feel so alone here in Central MD (Ellicott City). Anyone on here from this area? Anyone at all? I need a Target sales heads-up buddy! :)
  5. love the smilie too!! My hubbie would NEVER in a million years make that call for me - he gets intimidated calling for a pizza using a coupon! that's why I'm the one with the checkbook - hee hee. I am usually such a "nice" shopper and always follow the rules, but try to mess with me when I'm toting my 5 year old, 3 year old and 10 month old and you won't like what you get back. I nearly took this rude cashier's head off the other day when totally unprovoked he nastily accused me of "ruining" his express line at Safeway because I had a few items over the limit. Normally I would always count the items and obey the rule, but I had all small things in the basket of my daughter's stroller and couldn't count them all exactly until they were on the belt. In addition there was NO ONE at any of the 3 open express lanes and long waits at the two open regular lines. So I let him know where to go with his complaint against me. :) I would totally understand it if a customer behind me was mad but what the heck does it hurt him?? Long gone is the customer is always right motto, but they sure don't have a hard time raising prices almost daily! Anway, back to Target. I have to say in 7 years of FREQUENT Target shopping (it is only about 5 mins from my house), I really have never had a bad experience at all. That is what sells me on the place, even more than the great buys and nice quality items. Today I went back again with the kiddos for round 3 and to my surprise some new stragglers were out on the 90% rack. I got a Dora stocking for $1.29, another See n say keychain for $.49, another Backyardigans toy for $.49, a gift card holder (stuffed dog) for $.29 and a cute stuffed Cookie Monster dressed for winter for $.49. Nothing spectacular but fun. Also, all the Shake and Go Crashups Speedway and I Can Play Guitar cartridges were ringing up 50% off even though only marked at 30% off..
  6. oh no - snowman is now already saying oos for me - hope that means some of you got one!? :)
  7. I just got this cute inflatable snowman for the lawn for $9.99. Shipping was $7.50. There are lots of other holiday and other clearance items if you want to get more for the same ship amount. http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/p_10151_10104_009B254637110001P?keyword=blowups
  8. Gottadeal rocks because of the super nice and friendly people here!! Let's all keep it that way!! :) :) :) Thank you GD Mods!!!
  9. thank you! do you know what this code is for? % off or free ship? thanks!
  10. just came back from round two of perimeter perusing. :) Thanks to all of your advice, I scanned a huge cart of toys just to see which ones would come up lower than they were marked. Got the Vtech camera for $25 (still plenty at Long Gate in Ellicott City, MD if anyone needs them around here), some small Imaginext animals for $3.48 and various other little things. Found a small Pablo from Backyardigans dressed as Santa for $.49. My favorite find was a deluxe Our Generation Back to School Hally doll set that came with a book, extra outfits, accessories, etc for $19.99, lower than marked. There was only one of these and it was hidden way in the back so I hoped it was a good buy - does anyone know if these dolls are usually even around once prices go lower? It was 50% off the normal price so I figured I'd better grab it - it might be worth it just for the clothes that can also fit American Girl dolls (I think!) :) Also scored some cloth snowman placemats for $.39 and a gold large fabric tablecloth that you could barely tell was marked holiday for $.99 - neither of these was there yesterday... oh and I checked the vanity but it came up only at $41, the marked clearance price!
  11. I love that idea!! :) The box of small one I got in pastel colors will be used as goody bag favors for my daughter's Wizard of Oz party in March. I figured they are close enough to be similar to the lollipops of Lollipop Guild fame. :)
  12. oops! forgot to check toys - will have to go back tonight without my kids, lol!! :)
  13. ok - I haven't been on this thread lately but had to revisit to tell you all I got today! :) I strolled into my Ellicott City, MD Target at about 10 am, not expecting to find much and only had a tiny basket under my daughter's stroller to hold anything. Well, $30 and $300 worth of merchandise later I am one happy lady. I had to literally struggle to the cash register holding it all while keeping track of my preschooler and baby, but it was all worth it. I think the cashier was irritated I bought so much stuff that she might have wanted. :) Here is some of what I got for 90% off: 14+ girls' winter/holiday long sleeve tshirts - various sizes - $.49-$.50 each 2 infant snowflake pants $.49 each 4 glove box umbrellas in the red gift boxes - $.50 each 5 men's grooming kits in the red boxes - $.50 each box of small fruity candy canes $.19 jumbo gift boxes $.19 6 vinyl snowman placemats (using these now!) $.19 each Hershey kisses and snoball candy - $.29 /bag star earrings $.29 Blues Clues See n Say keychain $.50 initial ornaments/stocking pins $.69 Spiderman santa hat $1.29 infant santa hat $.50 or so ornaments $.29 - $.50 more I can't remember! if your store is 90% off, make sure you check the men's dept and other areas for the red box items - all of what I found was in other areas besides the holiday section. The grooming kits were with the men's dept and the umbrellas were on an endcap near greeting cards!
  14. Does anyone have any good celebrateexpress.com (formerly birthdayexpress.com) coupon codes to help with % off or free shipping, or both? I need to make a big order and was dismayed at my total without coupons! TIA!! :)
  15. glad this thread has given a few of you some smiles. :) Now that I've gone through round two of package opening with the in-laws and have more sore fingers, I have another random question: how do the workers in warehouses, delivery trucks and storerooms stand it when all the singing toys start "going off?" Or do they all come set to "off" and then the store employees have the "fun" job of locating the "try me" switch amidst all the packaging to turn them on before putting them out on the shelf? My Santa surprise was nearly spoiled this year when an Amazon box arrived shouting "To Infinity and Beyond!" :) :) just wondering!
  16. I know that the site states on the promotion code page you can use up to two codes but since I do not have the Kohl's charge card, I could only use the 15% off one. Try entering one code, then hit "apply" then enter the next one...
  17. Bath towels are $2.49, Hand Towels are $2.39 and washcloths $1.69. You can use code grcp5007 for 15% off and you can use MVC1839 for free shipping if you have a Kohl's charge card. Otherwise, shipping is $.99 per item. http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/toys/familygames/PRD~c3963/The+Big+One+Solid+Towels.jsp#
  18. me too!! at least my boys had fun putting the Cars and Little Einsteins bandaids that Santa put in their stockings on Mommy! :)
  19. I imagine the packaging is all due to marketing, but you'd think that the warehouses and stores would much rather lots of square boxes that would stack easily...plus, it's just so wasteful - all that junk to throw away or attempt to recycle!
  20. My hands are already so dry from constant hand washing from cleaning, changing diapers, etc, that while spending the entire day yesterday opening all their cool amazon toys, I just nearly shredded my hands raw from all the dang wires, etc inside the boxes. WHY do they have to do that?? When I was a kid, everything was just in one big box with a pic on the outside. I did notice some toys had a new type of attachment this year - some sort of plastic disc that you twist off - much easier than wires but still a pain...and they left gaping holes on the one F-P barnyard toy! :)
  21. just an fyi, the metal take along train cars will not fit the wooden tracks at all - their wheel base is too narrow. the larger plastic Thomas train cars will fit the wooden tracks, but will not go under bridges and stuff that go with wooden sets. you really need to get the medium base wood trains to go with the wooden tracks and accessories......
  22. hi again - just remembered this GD thread where you can save $10 at the learning curve online store - I used it without a hitch - maybe you can get a train there just by paying shipping... hurry - expires 12/31... http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=93045&highlight=learning+curve
