To everyone who was able to snag that Step2 Wagon and who used it for a gift: any ideas on how to wrap it??? :) Even if I could find enough paper to wrap it that way, I'm concerned it would just rip as I'm carrying it. I'd like to find a large plastic gift bag but don't know the best place to find one - does Target carry those? I am afraid I may spend as much on the wrapping as on the gift, which kind of defeats the Perimeter Perusing spirit of saving money, lol! :) You ladies/gents are so creative, thought I'd check here first. :)

hey there!! welcome to our not-so-snowy town where everyone gets off school anyway! :) I have lots of friends/family in Cockeysville. yeah..kind of a slow time for clearance, eh? I forgot to add to my post earlier that I also got three 5-inch plush care bears (2 pink and 1 green) for $.68 each. They were marked weird as if the original price had been $.89, which I know it couldn't have been - these would have been around $5-6. They don't seem to be Valentine's - could have even been left over from Christmas? Anyway, keep your eye out for them!

I did my monthly Target run today where I stock up with my 10% off card and I did find some nice clearance deals too. My favorite was the hidden tube of Valentine My little Ponies. Cashier had no idea what to do (NIF) so I got them for $.60. Not a shred left anywhere else of V-day stuff so I guess it was someone's stash. I also got several bath decor items in the cute green/brown monkey style - I was thinking that they might work for whoever was looking to add onto that crocodile soap pump! It seemed like the sinkware items and fingertip towels were 75% off, but the larger towels only 30% and the shower curtain not at all.. weird! I did get some Disney princess party stuff today - some went down to 50% but some still at 30%. I was wrong when I posted before that Hello Kitty was on clearance too - it is on the same shelf but not on sale at all... I didn't need any of the GB stuff but if you are in my area, head on over! It is 75% off and plenty left - even a stack of those nice looking desks... Only one aisle left but not picked through-looking at all.. The craft aisle near the school supplies also had many 50% off items, in the RoseArt section, as well as several photo albums and scrapbooks. I got a RoseArt clay set for $2.xx.

I always just get cheapo pots and pans and even those are like $17 -$20 per item. I haven't used mine yet and might save them as a gift - the box is impressively large! I finally dragged it down to our storage room because all 3 kids were sitting on it and using it as a toy! anyone else tried them yet?

I'm not a Kohls webmaster or anything, but in my understanding of it all, any web page can be "hidden" but still exist simply by excluding it from any navigation links or search engines. That doesn't mean it isn't there. Case in point - many famous security breaches have occurred when a page was supposedly hidden yet you could get to it using Google! My guess is that what happens with these certain Kohls deals is that at one time, they were available in a decent quantity, at the sale price, and that is when they were searchable on the website and when the original link was found and copied all over the place. Perhaps their software is designed to "hide" an item when the stock is low, so as to prevent the very issue we are having. So when they do get a new shipment or items returned to stock, even though that item is technically "in stock" the actual quantity of that stock is too low for that item to get back out on the website via the normal search methods...YET using our original links we can still get to it and thus place the order. So in effect, we are possibly thwarting a system in part designed to prevent this exact same kind of frustration. :) BUT, being an avid online shopper, as most of us are, we all know that other sites do a MUCH better job and have much better ways of handling these things! (and I have to also wonder then why they leave so many obviously out-of-stock-for-forever items out in full view!!!) Frankly, the thrill of the chase makes me buy more, so maybe they are smarter than we think and this is all purposeful!!??

I'd say get it and then add it back into your cart so you can check daily to see if the price has gone down. And then email or call the for a price adjustment. Not sure if this item would go down again, but there's always a chance.. The fact that it has free shipping makes it a better deal because sometimes Amazon will not have free shipping on larger items like this

It has been available many times, but only for about 20 minutes or less each time. I got a set about a week ago. Kohls' site is just weird like that on certain deals. If you want something you have to have a unique blend of persistence and luck! :)

I used to really love Value City as I lived by the Eastpoint Mall one that klastar mentioned, but I guess it just had it's day for me a long time ago. Newer discount chains have become just as good for finding deals for me, and the employees are usually nicer and less stressed out... I did hear that the Furniture division was not going out of business though - is that true nationwide? It is still nice to have a place for furniture deals around...

I saw all the above mentioned partyware - Elmo, Disney Princess, Hello Kitty, boy themes, etc as well as the generic favors being marked down today, but only to 30% - so it must vary by store... I ll have to head back soon and stalk them til they drop again! :)
