Burlington Coat Factory, if you have one, is where my husband finds his expensive cologne for less than $20. Not sure if they have what you are looking for but it's worth a look if you have the store. I was also surprised at some of the brands Walmart had locked behind glass the other day.

We have not had much trouble finding it multiple places for PS2 but that IS a reduced price. Best Buy also has it for that price this week.

That's not a bad answer. I have had to come up with a few over the years. Like ds wanted to know why it matterred if he asked for $50 PS2 games or whatever. HE said that Santa's elves made them so money was no object. Oh boy! I told him that Sony had the copyright on those games and that if Santa's elves made any, they could go to jail. I told him that Santa had to negotiate with Sony to get the games he wanted and that took cash! It worked for the time being. lol

When my kids were toddlers and our dog was a puppy, we had a play yard around teh tree. It kept teh puppy from hiking his leg on our tree which he would do and kept teh 18 month out of it as well. I'm not sure what to about the 3 year old, though. We never had problems once they were that age. They still want to shake everything but they have been told if they unwrap anything or snoop, they don't get their presents. So far so good. So far neither kid, age 8 or 11 have said they don't believe in Santa or anything. However, i think my 8 yo dd is having her doubts. She saw something on TV where someone is collecting toys or money to help provide presents to children around teh world who would have nothing. Dd wanted to know why kids needed us to send them presents. I, not thinking, said that some people in the world are very poor and have very little. She wanted to know why Santa cared if you were poor or not. Didn't he give gifts to all kids?? I had no idea what to tell her. Ever had a similar situation? I remember as a child wondering why some kids I knew got trampolines and go-carts and we never did get anything that big. We got some toys and clothes( my parents provided well for us) but my Santa Claus didn't have the money that others did. I just wasn't sure at 8, how much to tell her. I want her to keep having fun with Santa for a while longer. Oh...ds 11 seems oblivious. lol

I guess what I really need is free shipping becasue my shipping was higher than the item I wantd to buy.

Is that just for regularly priced items? I tried to buy a pair of cute padded headphones for my daughter but it took the discount of the original price instead of the current price. IS it just for one item or the order? Thanks for the code.

We ended up getting the 7 inch at Kohls but I will return if I find a good deal on a larger screen. I wanted to be able to watch it when camping but the 7 inch is just too small for me. The kids won't mind, though. I guess the Target add must have been regional.

Did anyone else notice that the Target add that is out no longer has the 10" portable DVD player? I was hoping to get that. It seems to have been replaced by a 6.2 inch portable DVD player. Bummer.

I plan to start at Kohls and I'm wondering how early I need to be there. I'm hoping what I want won't be what everyone else wants. I really need the retro stereo for $69. That is the main thing my Mom has wantd for a few years. There are otheritems I'd like to get like teh DVD player but I'd be happy with just the stereo. Do you think there will be arush for that item? Do you think it would be in teh store by the home store part? I'm thinking of trying to get in, get the one or two items I really want most and checking out maybe to return later in the day. I aslo need to be at Pepboys for the scooter. Hubby will probably go to Staples to try to get a laptop. We were too late calling in at CC today for the Toshiba. ANy thoughts?

I am very much considering getting a Canon S5IS for myself for Christmas. ;-) CC has it for $343 with no interest until 2009 if we want to pay it out. Do you think I will find it anywhere for less?? There is also a deal for a free printer with rebates but I have two already so not interested in that. I know some online sites offer it for less but I'm learly of those sites. Any thoughts?

I have heard good things about the Canon S3 IS but have not used it myself. I have actually been looking at it or the S5 for myself. My friends was given one last Christmas, I believe,and she has had nothing but good to say about it . She uses it to take pictures of her 6 kids ages 5-13 who all play sports or dance. I know teh SLRs are better all around but they are also more expensive and have more functions to learn.

We had our BX in CA refuse to price match one year on BF, but I have already asked here at Tinker. I was told to bring my ads and load up a buggy. lol I think hubby will go there first while I hit another store, then we will shop our way back to one another then finish at the BX if they are doing give aways in the afternoon......maybe take the kids out with us in the pm. I'm not sure how long we can leave them alone.

Does anyone have any idea how early you need to get to Pepboys for the BF sales? I want to get the Razr E200 scooter for my daughter and the $10 gift card would be nice. Hubby wants one of the tool boxes for his truck, too. I'm just wondering if we need to be there really early or what? Hubby may go stand in line at the BX while I wait at Pepboys. We are not diehard enough to camp at places like CC and Bb plus we have kids at home.

I have the BX PX add and there are not toys or games listed. I was disappointed but we will still be able to ad match some. If I had been smart, I would have put the ds games on layaway with the ds consoles then I could have ad matched the layaway and not had to worry if the games will sell out.

My husband and I went to our Academy here in OKC to put some things on layaway for my son. Guess what? They infomred us that they ended their layaway permenently in OCtober of this year. Bummer!

We have used an off brand portable DVD player with two screens for the car for gosh 5 years or more with no problem. We paid more than twice what it would cost now but they have been well worth the cost. These have been surrounded by small children, operated by young children and set up by young children and never a problem. The prices now are so much better. We are actually looking for another one this year to use for camping, etc. I'm hoping to get a bigger screen...maybe a 10". I may try to get the one at Target since we have mp3 players and don't really need it to play MP3. Good luck.

So does anyone know what time people start lining up at the BX/PX? We haven't been to the BX early on BF since we were stationed in CA and lived on base. I forget how early that was.

I have the same problem with feeling sick when i don't get enogh sleep. I need 7 hours which is quite a bit. I do ok for the first several hours as long as I eat something. Don't just eat sweets becasue that will affect your blood sugar. It iwll give you a high tehn drop you. That is when you will feel sick. Eat some sugar but make sure you eat some protein...cheese,meat,an egg etc. Proteins help level our your blood sugar so you can go longer. TAke a snack with you as well. Then when you are done shopping, go to bed. You may not be able to shop all day but a few hours should be fine. Just be careful driving.
