Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2009
Gritz replied to Brad's topic in Offline Hot Deals
If there were several of them on the same shelf, I probably would have made a fuss about it. There was only one and no other ones were to be found anywhere in the toy area. I'm sure they would have just told me "it was misplaced....customers move things all the time to different areas". I figured I wouldn't win the battle for this one anyhow. -

### 082-07-0363 Radio Flyer My 1st Scooter - 30% off (orig. 39.99) http://www.target.com/Radio-Flyer-My-1st-Scooter/dp/B000OWAZYU/sr=1-1/qid=1234213786/ref=sr_1_1/179-8320276-2536716?ie=UTF8&index=target&rh=k%3Aradio%20flyer%20scooter&page=1 There was only one scooter and it was placed with all the 75% off toys with a 75% off sign. I had someone with a PDA scan it and she said it was only 30% off, then moved it to another area. Too bad for me. I would've bought it for 75% off! -

I have called before for a baby item and they told me that they have 1 left and all the stores nearby had one left. I was told that the system counts the one on display, which they don't sell. Not sure if this applies for everything, but I know it does for baby stuff. -

I'm curious where you found the DVD player! Was it completely by accident and luck? That would give me a good idea where NOT to stash things... -

If the item was scheduled to be marked down and the one you hid was the very last one in the store, they can scan it with their PDA to see if it was scheduled to be marked down. If it was, then they will do it for you. Their PDA will tell them if it's supposed to be marked down. -

The DCPI is 030.09.1679 - I got it for $49.48 this morning. It was probably marked down on Monday though. I don't know the Target Item number off hand (the 4-digit number that's in the red circle) -- is that what you're referring to? -

I can tell you that the SSF one did not! The FP DVD play is still only 30% there. I even asked a mark down person to scan it and tell me if it was going to be marked down today. No such luck. Booo! I did get a: ### Graco Sweatpeace - 75% off -

Wow! I'm surprised your baby stuff is still only 30% off. I thought my Targets were the slowest when it came to markdowns. All the Targets near me (I have about 6 of them) had all the stuff at 75% off. Even the ones that only had the big items (strollers, carseats, etc) at 30% off last week had them at 75% off yesterday. Of course, there weren't new stickers on all the stuff and not everything was scanned by the time I got there, so I asked someone with a PDA to scan them for me and check if they were scheduled to be marked down today....sure enough they were. -

You should have had someone scan the carseat for you to see if it was scheduled to be marked down 75% today. I went to 2 Targets today and the Sit n Stand and Medela Pump in Style Advanced Breastpump - Metro Bag weren't marked down. All the other Targets near me had them for 75% off, so I had someone with a PDA scan it and it was still 50% off. I asked if they were supposed to be marked down today because the other Targets had them for 75% off and when they punched in some stuff on their PDA, they said yes and discounted it for me right then and there. -

It wasn't the boxed Christmas set. I can't remember exactly which one it was, but I think it was a cranky the crane set. It's supposed to come with all the wooden tracks, which it did, but it was just missing one track piece to complete the railway. -

For clearance stuff at Target, I always open it ASAP to make sure all the pieces are there and it's not broken. If there is anything missing or broken, I can always take it back and try to find another as soon as possible. Otherwise, you'd just have to return it and get nothing in return. At the last toy clearance, I got a Thomas the train box set and it turns out one of the wooden tracks was missing. Target couldn't do anything about it since they didn't sell it anymore, though they were planning to give me a refund. I got it so cheap that I didn't want to return it. I ended up calling Learning Curve and complaining and surprisingly they sent me the replacement piece, even though their website says they don't normally do that. So, if the item is defective, I suppose you could call the manufacturer and hope that they will provide a replacement part for you. Not sure how that works for Target brand stuff though. -

There's a RoseArt 3-in-1 easel that's on clearance. It's in the stationary/art supplies section, not the toy section. It think the age says 5+ on it. There might be a DPCI on Page 1 for it. -

If you have the DPCI for the Step 2 kitchen, call your local Target and ask them if any nearby Targets have them in stock. They will give you a list of stores that show 1 or more in the system. It's not always 100% accurate, but it will give you some idea of whether or not stores in your area have them. That's how I learned that none of the bay area stores carry the plasma car. -

They were located near the plastic containers/laundry baskets/sewing machines area on an endcap. They are in the same place as the electric scissors that are on clearance. -

At my Target they are located near the laundry baskets/sewing machine stuff on an endcap. There are tons at my stores, maybe because they are still only 30% off. There is also a B&D small electric screwdriver thing in the same section. -

At the Targets near me, it's hard to find any DVD players that have been marked to 50% off already. Of course, the ones that are still only 30% off have more than 5 on the shelves. I imagine it will be difficult to get one for 75% off (at least at the Targets in my area). If you really want one, I would suggest buying one at 50% off first. If you happen to get one at 75% off, just return the one you bought for 50% off and get your money back. That's what I usually do.
