With the release of the Apple TV with 4K, prices for the digital only equivalent have begun their fall to near HD prices. Physical media has yet to feel the pinch, but will have to bend the proverbial knee eventually. 3D is in a sad state. Prices never came down, offerings were spotty at best and first adopters are now feeling like jilted lovers. There are a few after market devices which provided the 3D effect and projectors were hit and miss. 3D seems to have the strongest adoption rate in Europe. Perhaps some company like TCL can pick up this tech for a niche market.

Friends and family. Sometimes a person who does work for me during the year will also get a deal.

I own a 50" LG with HDR. Which model did you get? We use 55" x2 for the bedroom, yes two of them. Save up those dollars because there are plenty of fine 4K TVs in that price range. Predictions for this year are stellar and last year was quite good! Can you tell us more about the new tuner standard? This obviously does not apply to new VIZIO models, lol.

We have seen a few at that price-point last year for a basic 4k tv. A few were even 55". We should all hope for some cheap 4K movies since the availability and selection may warrant some this year.

Excellent Advice! As my Birthday is tomorrow, How would everyone like to do a recap on Sunday evening? My camp out went really well. I was scooped twice, but did not get media coverage until just before the store opened and did a live interview with me inside the store, since it was our tenth year doing this. There were some firsts, like a successful broadcast from the line after the free WIFI wouldn't handle the load. I had just purchased the Samsung Galaxy 7 and put it to good use. I have my own hot spot. There was the first ever air fried turkey and a 6 foot table full of food on Wednesday night. Note to self, ensure that wife understands that too large of a bird will affect cooking time! One interesting note: Since there were differences between the online ad and the printed one, the Westinghouse 55 inch 4k TV was not in stock. We learned this AFTER pulling up to load the TVs. They asked what i wanted to rectify the situation, and I replied, "Comp me" They came out with an Insignia 4k 55" that has Roku built in. I love it when they give back an item that is as good or in this case, better than the original item.

We had a chair, wrapped around MY extension cord on Wednesday night. It was an abandoned chair that was broken. I quickly freed it from my property and threw it out of the line. The owner never came back. This type of chair diplomacy does not work with this mayor! All of the other people started showing up after 9 PM and the other early birds came up in the morning. Typical for those who do not camp. My problem was witnessing people inside the store that were getting irate over items that were not even being offered until the second sale, which were clearly marked in the printed ad. Reading IS fundamental folks! To answer the question, I was finally train horned by a hummer on Thursday morning. We filmed it on Facebook live.

Like others, the last 24 hours seem to rush together and many cannot just drop what they are doing to tune into an unscheduled event. I understand this. If anyone would like to get together tonight and discuss their experiences live tonight, I would be willing to throw up a show. What time would everyone be able to make it? BTW, we had a great time this year camping out an getting through spotty internet problems was a big win in my book.

We are having a full Turkey dinner and the Turkey will be cooked on the premises. I have yet to hear the train horn, but we are getting plenty of honks from cars here.
