  1. Sounds like they caught it. Interesting, the shelf tag here is $16.99, though, not $19.99. I'll have to check again out of curiosity.
  2. It is part of the sporting goods set, like camping equipment, so yes, that is when they'll do it, if they get clearanced. The thing is that I haven't seen them done year after year like some products. They don't seem to change them as often. So, I'd call it a maybe. But seems like they do Sporting Goods shortly after toys, so I'd keep an eye out for it. They always clear out stuff to make room for all those big things like Air Hockey, pool, and other big table games.
  3. You scanned it? Because it is marked full price on the shelf. I haven't checked again since I posted. Could be someone caught it.
  4. Not all stores clearance items at the same time. Some larger stores will hold items at regular price if they have the floor/shelf space for an item even though other local stores clearance it. Sometimes it clearances only at the stores where it doesn't sell well. Right now we have several stores that have clearanced 2-3 different action figure toys while other stores in the area still have them at full price. Sometimes I'll buy with cash at the full price store and return to the clearance store in order to get the clearance price. It doesn't always work because sometimes other people get them when they get put back on the shelf. But sometimes it does. Just hard to do that with a really large item.
  5. They have no such policy (at least as a corporation, you might get lucky with a specific store), particularly for clearance. I think your best bet would be to meet up and have her just wander into the guest services area a couple of minutes later with no interaction between you and ask the person there if she can buy it because she was coming in to look for just that item. Heck, you can even claim that some other store said that store had 1 in stock and she drove there just for it. They all know that their computers are wrong on inventory all the time, and would probably believe it. If they refuse, I'd have her ask for a manager. Worth a try.
  6. I have to agree. You cannot rely on Target to sell it to her since their official policy is that it has to be put back out on the floor. And you don't know when or if they'll do it. The employee may want it, for example. If you are having problems selling it to your friend because one of you did or wants to use a credit card, you could either have her write a check to your credit card company and use it with your regular payment, if that is the issue. Or, you could do a Paypal thing where they mark the payment as a gift and it won't cost any fees. Just a couple of thoughts. But if you return it, you run the risk of both losing out.
  7. Bummer! Well, if they still have it, that DOES mean you still have a chance if they are simply behind schedule...
  8. Sounds like you missed it. If you live in an area where they don't have as many stores, your store may sell out before stuff gets lowered further. But if you aren't there when the markdown happens, you can miss out entirely. You may also just have a rotten store. My mom's store in Clarksville (other side of TN) is pretty rotten. The market is dominated by a bunch of nasty Walmarts. So the Target just doesn't have much.
  9. Hyper Jump was the only one that was SUPPOSED to be marked down. My receipt even says Hyper Jump on it instead of Hyper Dash. Go into any store with the reset, and they have the new price tag. The other Hyper games aren't marked down at all. So, it is a great deal. Particularly since it is even cheaper than 75% off. I picked up several for my gift shelf.
  10. Secret Deal: Hyper Dash is $3.72. This is definitely an error. The Hyper Jump games were marked down, and there is a new shelf tag for Hyper Dash (which is a pretty cool game) for $16.99. But they are ringing up for the sale price at every store I have visited. Here is the game: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51WAkIPP7gL._AA260_.jpg
  11. yes, the ones that were still in the stores were marked down today. Legos that were 50% off stayed 50% off.
  12. It was separate. I can't quite remember what it was called last year, but it seems like it cleared out earlier. Check the August/September thread from last year.
  13. Finally had a chance to check. Pasadena, CA went 9/26 last year. It seemed really late to everyone, even those who went down the week before us. I suspect it will be late again this year, but we'll see. Heck, our kids don't start back to school till 9/10!
  14. My memory is that it was quite late in September. Everyone was grousing about it. You can find the date by going back through the September thread from last year, though.
  15. Mondays are baby markdown days. I haven't followed this round, so I don't know if stuff will go 75%. Some stuff already did here, I know, but not sure about the rest.
  16. Really? Those things creep me out every time I walk down that aisle! They had them opposite the Legos at one store I shop regularly, so every time I walked down the aisle I was assaulted by their babbling. I have always been glad not to have a girl that wanted one!
  17. Oh, on the topic of MMs....I looked today and both 10 & 15 packs are $2.99, so if you are buying, get the 15s while you can. The shelf tag shows 10 packs, so they are switching what they sell, apparently. It was good while it lasted...
  18. That's really unusual. Do you happen to live in an area where it is the only store of that type? Or a major metro area that doesn't have enough stores for the size of the population? Those stores tend to sell out early. Could be that it all got pulled to the back in carts, and will come out later, too. They do that when they reset sometimes. Or, sometimes, if a store doesn't sell clearance well, sometimes they pack it up and ship it to another store. I HATE it when they do that!!
  19. Yeah, if you aren't there the first day it is often already gone. Even the first day sometimes it is gone by noon.
  20. Sounds like your store is behind on the markdown schedule. You should check back next Wed/Thur (whichever day your store does toys).
  21. Don't know if anyone mentioned it, but the Pink DIDJ system is $17.48. ### pink didj 204041877 $17.48
  22. SO glad you got some good stuff. Yeah, you just can't trust what they say. Sometimes it isn't intentional, they just don't know what they are talking about. For those who are interested in SoCal, San Dimas & La Verne as well as Eagle Rock did NOT mark their Legos down to 75% today. They only went to 50%. I found a few I really wanted and bought them at 50%, returned to a store than went 75%, and waited for the restock, so I got mine and a set for a friend.
  23. No, but it wasn't back on the main shelves either. Some diligent employee had moved it to the go-backs in the department, which is always hidden behind a post. SOoooo....they were still there, which is all that matters. I had a VERY successful day. I was so happy about those Legos, though, as there was a lady I recognized from the last few sales who wanted all the ones I got. She was SO disappointed that she didn't get them. I had left the Castle ship set because we didn't want it, so it made her happy. :)
  24. Depends on where you are. 2 Pasadena stores went today, but are already pretty picked over. Eagle Rock did not all go (Legos still 50%), so not sure what's up with that. I'm heading out to San Dimas in the afternoon. I think someone else reported OC going as well.
