This always happens as we approach Christmas. Some of the rest of the vets may remember, but I think the big domestics markdown that just happened is the last really big one before Christmas. They'll start on toys a bit before Christmas, marking some stuff down 30% to get it to move before the end of the year. Then after Christmas the cycle starts up again and runs through the various departments till spring.

Officially they don't take them. Some stores seem to pay more attention than others. Many cashiers check the dates on all coupons, and they are not required to take them. So, YMMV...

I never saw the doorbuster thing on this page in the first place. It still says limited quantity won't be price-matched, though.

You need to contact the state attorney general with the complaint. And anyone else should as well. While it may or may not be a legal issue, the AG is the one who goes after these kinds of things and gets them fixed. I understand if they have the policy, but they need to make it clear. Are you sure these are new? They have the same file names as the ones that were available after you signed up for their email list back during the summer. I just went on and saved them and they saved as (2) since I already had the filename in use on my system. They also look identical to the ones form summer.

You can if you arrive during the time it is on sale (like doorbusters you have to be there during those hours) and within the standard 7 days.

Hmmmm....didn't think you could do that either. There are manufacturer's coupons that are only good at a particular store. But glad it worked out for you!

They come in around 4-5am and leave at 2-3pm, so things are often marked when you arrive.

I got a plain old $5 off $50 purchase. It seems pretty random. I get some for the food avenue, I get $10 off $100 electronics sometimes. Oh, and I check the parking lot when I see stuff on the ground. I got a coupon $20 gift card for a new or transferred prescription that way recently at Target. And DS got Pink Eye and needed prescription eye drops. Sometimes people leave them at the register too. Keep your eyes open.

You need to make sure this is true in VA. You cannot do that here in CA and many other states, so you want to check the local return policy. It varies for holiday merchandise.

That is the corporate policy (you get the current selling price on seasonal merchandise), but some states don't allow it, so they get back full retail. You might want to find out. On the other hand, she might have gotten carried away yesterday and returned it right away to avoid losing even more if it goes lower.

You might check the regular area if you don't see them in Halloween stuff.

I seriously doubt it. There wasn't near as much as years past to start, and it was pretty grim by the time I hit a couple other stores in the afternoon. I didn't even leave my stashes for fear I just won't get stuff.

That is SO weird. Our stores were encouraging people to take it. Take it all! They need to set up Christmas and they want it GONE!

Funny, it isn't 30% everywhere. I got M&Ms as well as Hersheys Kisses and Tootsie Rolls. Gave out a pile of coupons to people. My M&Ms were $.49 with stacked coupons.
