laffnatu replied to timbermommy's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Yes, I think yesterday was the last day for that sale. -
I'm going after the bubble mailers, tape, legal pad and probably the post-its.

We didn't forget anything but we did save some stuff for our son. Hubby bought a bunch of xbox games while in Iraq. When he finally seen all the presents together, he decided to hang onto the games for awhile. So we'll probably give them to him 1 by 1 throughout the year or save them for Christmas next year. lol

Everything is ripped and thrown away around here except for gift bags.

Congrats on the new laptop! :)

We've bought all of ours at Lowes also. They always seem to have some nice rugs on clearance everytime I go in there.

Thanks for letting me know. I keep forgetting to put them on her tires. lol.

I would have loved an uneventful Christmas. We're hoping for one next year. lol. My MIL spent Christmas eve/Christmas day with us and 1 night was enough. That woman's mouth only stopped while she was sleeping.

Yes, I got the 2 main things that I wanted. Hubby gave me a 4 pc set of Cool Water perfume and my daughter gave me some BBW bubble bath. I bought The Wire Season 1 & 2 from Amazon for myself. lol

I took mine down at 5pm yesterday. I was ready to have my living room back to normal.

DEAD - 50% Off Select Hbo Dvd's At Best Buy ONLINE
laffnatu replied to 571COALTON's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I bought The Wire Season 1 & 2 for $24.99 each. I could get instore pickup but the location is about 45 miles away. Shipping was only $1.79 for each boxed set, so it was well worth the cost. Total after shipping and taxes: $60.01. -

Deal on Christmas tree for next year??
laffnatu replied to tessparker1's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I would do like Elena, check out Lowes. They had some beautiful trees. I believe their 50-75% off sales has already started. I need to get over there.. I have about $60 in GC I could make use of. lol -
I bought the $20 WM vac last year also. I like that I only have to empty the canister. My other vac has the hepa filter and I seem to go through them like crazy.. and they aren't cheap. I go through vacs and carpet shampooers so often, I now just find something cheap. lol

Hopefully your package will be sitting there for you when you go pick it up. <fingers crossed>

Thanks from me also. :) Hubby and I took all the presents out off the attic yesterday. I couldn't believe how much was lined up and down the hallway. He was surprised when he seen it also. I told him yea, just think how much this stuff would have cost if we had paid full price. LOL.

I just have to share one of hubby's ideas for Cheap Santa. He thought of this while I was wrapping gifts yesterday. He's going to make John Wayne toilet paper. He's using a cardboard roll that I threw away when I used all the wrapping paper on it. He unrolled it and is going to reroll it onto a empty toilet paper roll. I don't know how easy this is going to be. LOL. He's then going to put it in a ziploc bag and label the bag John Wayne Toilet Paper. He asked if I knew why it was John Wayne Toilet paper... I said no. He said, 'because it's rough and tough and doesn't take s**t off anyone. He's not sure who will be getting this gift yet. He been adding stuff to his Cheap Santa box all week. There's some 1 use toilet paper. The package is so small I don't see how anyone could use it. LOL. Some earplugs, a phone card, a pin, some cotton swabs, magic marker, some earbuds, a insignia from his uniform. He also has an old wallet, some monopoly money and some of his checkstubs in it. He's going to use the monopoly money and check stubs that say .00 on them for my mom's money tree. He said he's using the check stubs because they have his name on them. This is so my mom will know who gave her the tree. I'm going to save him my Walmart GCs so he can add them to his box also. Of course he can only have them after I use them. LOL

I seen this at Walgreens last night and thought of "grandpa". Hubby would love one of these. Once he's in bed, he won't climb out to turn off the lights.
-
Awww.. I hope 1 of the packages get there before Monday. It's nice to see a company step up to the plate and go the extra mile for the consumer.

I had to go my grocery shopping today and pick up a few more items for stockings. I'm done with presents and wrapping. WOOHOO!!! I'm proud of my dd16. I took her shopping yesterday with her paycheck. It was only $167 and she came home with $28 left. I helped her find some great deals not including stuff that I picked up for her on Amazon.com. She couldn't believe the deals from Amazon. LOL. She spent over $200 of her own money on presents for the family and a few friends. She can't wait to give out her gifts. She did forget about 1 grandma. Since she only has $28 left, I'll pick up something for her myself today while at Walmart. My son10 received a 2 $20 GCs from a set of grandparents. He and I wheeled and dealed on some extra stuff that I bought. He ended up with presents for everyone and I ended up with a $20 GC to Walmart for myself. LOL. Some people will also be receiving a cheap Santa gift from him. Lol

This warning popped in my head while buying some Chili's GCs at Walgreen's last night. But knowing my daughter, she won't keep them long enough to worry about it. lol

It was near the air freshners and car accessories at Walmart. It didn't have a specific place on the shelf, it was hanging off the end of the aisle. I believe it was $4.97.
