I agree.... even though I have been guilty of it every year until this one. LOL. I love finding great deals for Christmas and stockpiling them. But I look now and think why did I buy that and he won't play with it. It's just a waste of money. I asked my son what he wants for Christmas. I told him that I'm not buying a bunch of little stuff that he won't play with or use. He wants a bike, nintendo ds, 3 specific games for the ds, subscription to Shonen Jump and a playstation 2. His birthday is Dec. 28th, so I'll probably save 1 of the big gifts and a few ps2 games for his bd. My dd just wants me to take her shopping. LOL. Most likely it will be for clothes. Her bd is Dec. 26th, so I guess it will be more shopping. LOL.

I have some Bath & Body works stuff in the top of my closet. I have no idea who will be getting it though. lol So far that's it. I'm not even sure what I am getting the kids this year. My daughter just wants me to take her shopping. Son wants a .22, a playstation 2, psp or ds. Hubby and I decided that our big gift will be a lcd tv to hang on the bedroom wall. I used the excuse of having more space in our bedroom to talk him into it. It didn't take much convincing on my part to talk him into it. LOL

pm sent. :) Thanks for doing this again Eve. It was so much fun shopping for ss and the ornament exchange last year. I'm looking forward to it.

Any experience with hhgregg ???

I was wondering the same thing. I've been hearing ads for HHGregg's all week on the radio. I think they are opening one in Greensboro in early November. -
Best- my daughter on 12/26/89 and my son on 12/28/95 Worst - a ugly green knit hat with mittens... yes I said mittens. Who the crap wears mittens anyways? If I have to have something on my hands I have to be able to use my fingers. Sorry.. I got sidetracked.. The worst gift was from my inlaws. My hubby laughed so hard when I opened it. I'm sure the look on my face was priceless. I regifted the ugly gift to my mom who loved them.

I tell my mom not to worry about buying anything for me and hubby. I feel that once kids/grandkids pop in the picture, it's all about them. Last year my parents gave us a gift certificate to a local restaurant. She knows that we won't pass on food. They do give each of the 5 grandkids $25 each. My daughter became engaged this year and my mom plans on giving him $25 also.

I may have to forget Walmart and head to Sears this BF for the 42 plasma and the gps. I didn't go to Sears last year.
-
Maps?? I wish our Walmart would give out maps. Last year none of the employees or even the manager knew where items were located. It was a pain.

I have no idea. Santa keeps dropping off gifts in the attic and he forgets how many is up there. lol The kids know who santa is now. I guess I'll have to wait for grandkids... hopefully that will be several years from now..lol.

I go with DH... he loves BF! A Office Depot recently opened in our city and his first response was alright, another place to go on BF. LOL. Two friends went with me while hubby was in Iraq a few years ago. I would much rather hubby went with me.

Maybe 8 years for BF and 3rd season here.

Sometimes for my brother or my mom. My mom hates shopping, so I'll offer to pick up something for the grandkids if she really wants it. My brother only has Sundays off, so he's usually dead tired on BF.

I usually take them down the evening of the 25th... if I can find the time. My dd17's bd is the 26th and my son11's bd is the 28th. The rest of the week is usually busy so I try to get everything down early.

I still have a container of candy canes on my kitchen counter near the microwave.

I buy them... address some and never mail them. I am the world's worst at sending out cards, so I don't even try anymore. lol

I can't wait for SS and the ornament exchange. I received a beautiful hand blown ornament last year. I opened the satin lined container to pull out the ornament... had it hanging on the tip of my finger in front of the tree ... and plop. It fell off of my finger, hit the lever to the recliner and broke. No glass ornaments for me this year. lol

Cool! I keep hearing that a Costco is coming to Asheboro. I hope it's true especially if they offer a free membership.

Our Walmart has started clearance on mowers. I'm not sure about the riding mowers... I didn't pay much attention to them. Hubby bought a electric push mower a few days ago , reg. $146 on clearance for $50.

Aww man! I hope they don't bail out on us this year.

I'm ready for BF also. So far the only thing I "need" is a GPS. But we still have 4 months, so I'm betting the list will get longer. lol

TI-84 Plus or TI-84 Plus Silver Edition

I would check on ebay or Craigslist. I have seen several in the past month listed on Craigslist. -
Does anyone know if you can leave restaurant comments on Restaurant.com? We used one yesterday in Banner Elk. The food was great! But the mandatory 21% tip that they added to our bill was a little steep. I could understand it if it had that stipulation on the website and if we had been a big party. There was only 2 of us. The waitress would have received a healthy tip...but 21% was a little extreme. Even with the crazy tip amount, we will definitely go back. :) ( I did only pay $5 for the $25 certificate so that helped me from running my mouth too much..lol) Even with the $25 certificate, our bill was an additional $25.

Sorry, I have no idea. This is the first time I have seen a Max of 2 restriction.
