  1. awww.. that's sweet of him. It's nice to see kids who appreciate what they receive for Christmas. :)
  2. Omg! My dd and I went to the mall to finish up shopping for her. We both agreed that we will NEVER wait this late again to finish shopping. It was horrible!! She and her fiancee are heading back to the mall right now. She picked up the wrong size jeans in Hollister yesterday so she's returning them. Hopefully it won't be too bad this early. I have to go to the grocery store for a few things today. Boy I'm dreading that trip.
  3. Awwwwww... great gifts MandaJo. Just reading about them made me cry.
  4. UGH!!!! The time is just flying by! I HAVE to finish my shopping this weekend. I have to go tonight and get a few more things for our Christmas party @ work tomorrow.
  5. The fridge sounds like a great idea. We bought one at Costco a few months ago for our room and we love it. It drives my son crazy because he wants one, but like happysunshine's son, it would grow mold. lol It's so hard to buy for kids once they reach 16 and over. I'm getting more gray hair trying to pick up stuff for my dd17. LOL. I had planned on just giving her $$ but she wants stuff to open. The Visa and gas cards sound like great ideas for his birthday. Good luck!!
  6. Hubby Future SIL dd ds mom dad mil bro 2 nephews 1 niece dirty santa (work) (8) people @work $10 gift @ work 1 neighbor
  7. Sorry... but that's funny. LOL!!!! This reminded me of the Christmas card that I received from Jackson Hewitt Friday. (I took their tax class & will start working w/ them in Jan.) They sent me a very pretty popup Christmas card with a ink pen that says Happy Holidays from Jackson Hewitt. I thought Ohhh.. that was sweet of them. My mail carrier left a yellow envelope w/ the card wanting .89 for postage due. So I ended up paying .89 for the pen.
  8. That's a good idea. I may check for the Jan. issue. He already has the Dec issue.
  9. I ordered a year's subscription to Shonen Jump magazine for my son for Christmas. I had forgotten about it until I received the post card in the mail yesterday. I have no idea when the actual magazine will get here. I need to come up with a creative way to wrap this gift. I don't just want to just say "hey, look what I ordered ya" and hand him the post card. LOL.
  10. Bonus?? What's that?? We USED to receive them until our parent company decided they would take as much away from us as possible and see how long our dumba$$es would hang around. They really screwed us this year. They decided to pay us our week's pay for Christmas during the week of the 4th. Before the 4th I had been laid off alot so my vacation weeks' pay sucked. We went on overtime after we came back from the 4th. Now we are screwed out of the extra $$ from our hours going from 32 to 44. I can't complain about hubby's bonus. He gets a nice one each year.
  11. I have no idea because I haven't finished shopping. I still have to buy for their birthdays on the 26th and the 28th. I still have to buy for my dd. I think there are 4-5 small gifts under the tree for her now. I had planned on giving her $$ but she told me that she wants something to open. So we are off this weekend window shopping. She's going to show me stuff she likes and then I'll come back and pick out some items. This way she doesn't know for sure what she's getting and they will still be a surprise. She wants a new pocketbook, so that won't be a surprise.
  12. The numbering system sounds like a great idea. I may try this next year. When I was 12-13, I did the same thing. I peeked at everything that year and Christmas sucked. That was the first and last time I did that. My future SIL checks out all of the presents under the tree when he comes over. He'll tell my dd, "hey, there's another gift under the tree for u." LOL. He's 19 and he's like a little kid. It's fun watching him. I think he's excited about the gifts at our house because he doesn't know what they are. He knows everything his mother has bought him. He found a box in the trunk of her car but didn't look in it. She told him to try them on and pulled out his only surprise from her... a pair of boots. I love watching the kids' faces on Christmas morning. It makes the hassle of Christmas shopping worth the trouble. LOL
  13. If I have extra money I will always spend it on my kids too. I was at Costco Friday night and finally bought a microplush blanket that I have wanted. It was under $22 and I have put it in my buggy at least twice and always put it back. I put it in the buggy Friday and told my friends to make sure I didn't put it back. LOL. And it's not like it's alot of money... I just kept talking myself out of it. But now I'm glad I bought it because it feels so good on my bed. LOL.
  14. I have a $10 off of $30 you can have if you want. PM me your address if you would like it.

  16. The nice list 1,401 nice entries 586 naughty entries
  17. I feel awkward telling someone what I want also. I went shopping with friends last night and while in BB&W one asked me what I wanted from there for Christmas. I said I don't know. She made me look around and I found something cheap for her to buy me. My future SIL asked what I wanted. He's 18 and is spending alot on dd for Christmas. He bought hubby a $25 gc to Olive Garden. I told him to just add my name to dh's gift and we would both enjoy it. I prefer just buying for the kids in the family. My thought is if I want something, then I'll buy it myself. I do buy for the inlaws and my parents though.
  18. I received my SS yesterday. (My future SIL was hoping it was his package that I've been waiting on. LOL) Thanks to my SS! I got 2 bottles of B&BW bubble bath, a candle, loofah (I think that's what it's called...lol) and a snowflake ornament. I can't wait to try out the bubble bath. I don't know how it is at everyone else's house, but bubble bath doesn't last long around here. I'll have to hide it from my dd. LOL. I'll have to hide the candle too. She found a couple yankee candles that I was hiding from her yesterday and dang if she didn't light 'em up. lol
  19. There have been alot of requests for recipes. Maybe someone can find something yummy at the North Pole. Mrs. Claus's cookbook **I hope this isn't a repost. I didn't have time to search.**
  20. My ornament, ss and all of my cards have finally left my house. LOL. Alot of cards came in the mail today but I haven't had the chance to look at the mail yet. Thanks everyone! :)
  21. I haven't heard of the chili sauce and jelly for cocktail wienies. A lady at work uses mustard and grape jelly with the wienies and throws them in the crockpot...mmmmmmm!!! I love the sausage ball recipe too.
  22. I love the daddy come home tree. It's a great idea! All of the trees are beautiful!! Dramaqueenlucy - I LOVE your fireplace!!
