Awww dang!

I just opened my newspaper today and there's a BB ad in there starting today. This tv is on the front page for $699.99. It runs on sale from Dec. 3-9th. It's hard to believe they don't have any in the store since the sale is starting today. Sounds like someone is feeding you some crap in the store. I would become a pain in the butt.. they would see me every day until I got to exchange my tv. I wouldn't think that you would need the replacement plan for something like this. It's only been 9 days or so. I would do it soon though. Good luck! :) Take someone else into the store with you, find the tv, load it up in a buggy, then bring in your old tv. Let someone try to tell you they don't have them then.

We are having our Christmas party at work this week. My son is counting down the days until he's off for vacation. LOL. I still need to finish shopping. I think I'm going to the "big" city and try to finish up some today. lol. I work the next 2 wks then I'm laid off until Jan.2nd so I should have plenty of time to make my cooking, baking lists and finish late minute stuff.

I don't think you are nuts, I would do it. I'm storing presents in the attic and I'm trying to remember what is up there. I will probably use some of them for birthday presents since the kids' bds are the 26th and 28th.

It makes sense to me... you have to have some outside contact and I do get most of mine at work. But don't worry, you still have all of us. :) I'm like a few others on here... I'm still having a hard time believing it Dec. Our town had the Christmas parade on Dec.1st, we have to have our Christmas party at work on Dec. 7th. So everything is kicking in. I am excited though! I can't wait to see the kids faces. They get so excited about Christmas. My daughter was in WI and hubby was in Iraq last Christmas, so it just didn't seem like Christmas last year. So hopefully this year will be better.

I wondered if they call it White Elephant in the north and Dirty Santa in the south. But we might have to rename it Yankee Swap just for our boss. LOL

If they don't have them in stock, they will order them for you. I was at our BB last night and they had a boat load of them..lol. Of course now the price has gone up to $849. A week or so before BF, they were $699.

I've never heard it called White Elephant until this thread. We have to have our Christmas party at work on Dec. 7th. Hubby has to work but he's actually taking a few hours from work so he can come to my job and play the game. But he called it White Elephant the other day too. I like the toilet brush idea. I may have to do that next year.

I think that I'll get my mailman thermal shorts so he can wear shorts ALL year long. I have no idea what I'll really get him. He's really good about putting any big packages on my back porch so no one will mess with them. He was nice enough to put several heavy trunks that hubby shipped home in the building for me also.

I'm going to have to get the free panties for my daughter. She loves them.

I hope that they have the peacoats on sale. My daughter loves them.

Try Discount Furniture stores in your area. There's a discount store in our area that runs tent sales 2-3x a year. You wouldn't believe the great deals that we've gotten on furniture. We bought a queen sized pine bed with headboard and footboard for $55 for my daughter. We don't jump on the 1st deal we see when shopping for furniture. It may take us awhile but we'll find what we want for a reasonable price. :)

Isn't EB Games and Gamestop owned by the same company? Not sure, I may be wrong. I doubt if you will find a system for around $40-$50. Even at the pawn shops in my area they are $100. They may be cheaper now, it's been awhile since I was in there looking for one.

I'm caught up on my wrapping except for what is coming in the mail tomorrow. I still have to finish with my daughter. I'm at a loss as to what to get her. She may end up with some gift cards..lol. I need to get my son a few more things. But I'm closer to being done with him than anyone. I need to buy for 2 nephews, inlaws, mom & dad and 1 more gift for work.

I love their oils. I'm burning Sensual Amber now. One of the employees at B&BW told me that she adds a little bit of water to the bottles of oil. She said some of the oil is strong and the water helps dilute it some and will last longer.

Hubby wrapped a 2X4 with a $5 bill attached to it once. While we were working, he dropped off the package. Everyone who came into the break room before we played the game wondered what in the world it was. It was so funny watching everyone. You should have seen the look on their faces when it was opened. Someone did end up leaving with it though. She said she could have used it at her house. LOL

Walmart sells a pack of 3 games for $10 around Christmas. I just looked online at their ad. They have them in there Nov. ad, so you need to go before Friday. They may have them on sale afterwards, but who knows. They have 2 differant sets of 3 games for $10 in the ad. 1 set has - Trigger Man, Future Tactics and something else 2nd set has - Puzzle challege, A bowling game and I think it says M.J.! (whatever that is..lol) The ad also says game titles vary by store. They may not be the most popular games out there, but they will help start your game collection pretty cheap. :)
