The Sears ad was misleading about Ice Age 2. Looking at the ad, you would have thought it was $5.99. Hubby went there to get the free $10 GC and asked about it. They said it was a misprint. He called me and I picked up one at WM and PMed it with Compusa's ad for $9.99.

We got really lucky with the 100pk dvd-r. We didn't get to BB until around 11:30am or so. They told us the 100 pks were sold out. Hubby came across a pk someone had left sitting on a shelf. When we went to pay for it, it rang up $44.99. Then we noticed it was the DVD+R 100 pk. The cashier was really nice and said she didn't see why it mattered and sold it to us for $4.99. I didn't get the 52" tv, but I was trying to buy it for my brother. Also couldn't find the 4 pc girl sleep sets or the girl levi's anywhere in the store. I was picking these up for my brother also. I wanted to PM Call Of Duty for $4.xx for hubby but I couldn't find it in the store either. Hubby and I ended up talking each other out of camping out at BB for the 32" westy. But once we got to BB, he decided he wanted a tv. Of course they were out of the westys but we got the 27" insignia hdtv for $339 and a $80 rebate.

Yes, I always send them in. I sent them in yesterday. I only had 3 rebates to mess with this year. $3.50 for a surge protector at STaples $25.00 for dvd+r and $80 at BB

DAng it!!! That must have been where they were in my store too. I went through that store twice looking for the sheets. I don't think you did a bad thing. They should have taken them off the salesfloor alot sooner.

The only secret items I noticed were the robes and the tv. They had a rack in front of the clothing department so that was noticeable. As for the tv... that was a differant story. I waited in line where they told me it would be along with alot of other people. An employee came over at 4:45 and says that the 52" would be in electronics and we were all in the 20 in. line. Everyone took off running towards electronics. I'm sure people towards the end of the line had no clue what was going on. As for me, I didn't run anywhere.. I said screw it. I asked the employee how many 52" they had... he said 8. That really peed me off because I was 8th in line. Unless Walmart has something that I just can't live without next year (other than PMing) I'm going to BB.

What did you do when your kids snooped in their gifts???
laffnatu replied to DramaQueenLucy's topic in 2006
Hide the gifts they seen and don't put them under the tree. Give the gifts to them later in the day. I haven't done this before but I may if my son sees something.LOL Right now he's so scared that he'll see something that he always asks if it's ok before he comes into a room before he enters if he knows I'm wrapping. LOL -
Was anyone else briefed by store mgr while waiting in line???

What celebrity was there? -
After reading that thread on here, I would check to make sure it wasn't an oven door also. Shoot, I'd go ahead and hook that sucker up..LOL.

When I tried to PM, the cashier told me that he didn't think they were PMing today. He called someone and asked if they were pming vhs (even though everything I had was dvd. lol) He then comes back and says they said to pm vhs, I'm not sure about dvd. I asked him if they even carry vhs anymore. (I didn't notice vhs, but I guess they do carry them.) I PMed a South Park Season 8, Grey's Anatomy Season 1, Seinfeld 1 & 2, Ice Age 2, House Season 1 and Memoirs of a Geisha. I wanted Rescue Season 1 but they didn't have it. When he got to House Season 1, it was reg. $46.84 and I PMed it at $12.99. He said I'm not sure I can do this and called a CSM. He told the CSM that the operator said they were PMing VHS but since he had already started PMing my dvds, that he would finish it out. Between BB and PMing at Walmart, I saved over $200 on boxed sets. I went back around 10am to PM a Sandisk player for $34.99. I saved $40 for doing that. I had no trouble in electronics PMing it. They were very nice about it.

Did you leave it like that? That's so funny.. lol

Did you get one? Try ordering it in store if you didn't. I ordered one at my BB. It will be in DEc.1st.
-
They had 5 of these lined up around 1:30pm at my store. I ended up with the Insignia 27" hdtv for my room. It was reg. $359 but he knocked off $20 since he had to order me one. It comes with a $80 rebate so it will be $259. I have to come in on the 1st and pick it up. We had decided to not buy a tv. I really wanted to 32" lcd but of course they were gone. lol. Once hubby started shopping, he decided to go ahead and get it.

WOW, I'm not sure how many my BB had but there was a guy, who cut in front of me in line, yesterday at 11:55am to pay for 3 of them. I guess he thought if he didn't hurry up, they would charge him full price. I didn't think that BB would have them when I finally had a change to go. I PMed them at Walmart. I must have started something, because right after I picked up mine, several people lined up wanting to pm them using the BB paper. I saved $40 pming it at WM.

This is my first year going to BB on BF. I didn't camp out and we got there yesterday at 11:30 am. They were still charging the 7 hour sale prices at 1:30pm yesterday. They had a ton of the portable dvd players. They would ring up $139.99 but they would change it to $69.99. I wish that had been something no my list, but it wasn't. I'll definitely go back there next year. :)

I was there at 8pm last night. There were Superman, doodle monsters, hot wheels, $3.98 appliances, stick vacs, tvs, portable dvd players and a ton of stuff left.

RCA 52" widescreen projection HDTV for $474 discussion thread
laffnatu replied to angela8282's topic in 2006
Well there was definitely some upset people at my Walmart this morning. The employees had no idea where the 52" tv would be. They finally told us to go to dairy and there's a table there, they would give out tickets. I get in line at 3:30am and I'm #8 in line. There are 2 people there who have been there since 8 pm. At 4:45am the guy comes over to the table with a stack of tickets. He informs us that he only has the tickets for the 20" lcd and the 20" tv for $69. He says the other tvs will be in electronics. I asked him how many of the 52" he had.. he said 8. $%&%^%$##@$!@@@@ Well everyone else hauled ass to electronics and I ended up being #1 in line for the 20" tvs. But I didn't want either of the tvs offered so I left. I wasn't after the tv for myself. We planned on picking it up for my brother but he didn't know we were doing it. So technically I'm not out of anything, it just bugs me that I could have been scoping the rest of the store instead of standing in line for nothing. I just hope the guys who had been there since 8pm got their tvs. -
It won't let you purchase the CC LCD online. It did let me add the one from Home Depot into my shopping cart.

Here's a link to the "Secret" Stuff at Walmart. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/catalog.gsp?cat=546831 So far it seems like this and the BF ad and regular ad is what they are advertising.
-
Welcome to Gottadeal. :) It will come with an operating system. I bought one for around the same price last year and it had Windows XP on it.
-
Welcome to Gottadeal. :) Walmart requires that you show them the ad when you price match from another store. I have read that some Walmarts will have the ads at registers. But I've never seen my store do that.
-
Have you thought about ordering the 2 dvds from Bestbuy.com? Maybe they will be available when you get back from Walmart? Sorry to hear that you couldn't find an ad. Hopefully they will take the printed ad. Or maybe you will see someone with a BB ad at WM and ask to borrow it.
-
Welcome to Gottadeal. :) I've never really gone after clothing at WM before so I'm not sure. I'm going after the 4 pc girls' set and a few of the 2 pc. men's sleep sets also. I know last year when they had some jeans on sale it was in a pallet that was black plastic covered and was really close to the computer I was after. That's probably the only reason I noticed it. LOL. There really wasn't alot of people hovering near it but during the course of the day, the pallet went down alot. I think that most will be after more of the bigger ticket items, so you may be able to grab what you need while others are fighting over tvs and cabbage patch kids. LOL.

My snapfish credits have disappeared!
laffnatu replied to Gloey's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Yes, 25 credits of mine disappeared the first time I typed them in. I don't put any codes in now unless I am going to use them right then. How many did you lose?
