They had flannel character bedding sets on sale this week at Target for $15. I think they had Cars that would work for preschool boys. Watch their clearance sales (both in the store and online); I've picked up entire twin sets for my kids (comforters and sheets) for $15 or less. I'd go to the Friends and Family event at Sunday this week at Sears from 6-9pm and check out their sales, too. The info about this is in the black Friday Sears discussion thread. JCPenney's usually has solid colored comforters for $20 on sale. Good luck at Kohls finding kid sheets. I've tried with my coupons and the deals still don't beat Target and Walmart.

the Sears stores I've been to people only come 90 min before opening. I bet you'd be okay coming 60-90 min before opening for the Chistmas village. Not sure about the bracelet :)

wii choice bundle in stock at walmart.com.
Azzycat replied to shawna queen's topic in Online Hot Deals
yeah, I seriously thought about buying this and pairing it with the normally $50 games, but when I saw the extra shipping+ having to add tax price on I think I'll pass. I'd rather spend $650 on a new, bigger stove. -

Check out this one at www.circuitcity.com. It's an upconverter, which means it brings DVD movies pretty close to HD quality on your HD TV. I keep debating buying this for my house for my room. I'd like to pick up an HD TV on Black Friday for my bedroom. We have a 15 year old buzzing TV in there now LOL. It's really a good price for an upconverter IMO, esp not a cheap brand. Panasonic Upconversion DVD Recorder $99.99 • Record to DVD • Multi-format • Progressive scan • HD conversion • Time Slip • One-Touch Record http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Panasonic-Upconversion-DVD-Recorder-DMR-ES25S/sem/rpsm/oid/146238/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do

IF you can get them at Lowe's or Home Depot, they are usually around $10 a box. They sell out before Thanksgiving, so go NOW to check your local store. Target should have a sale on Christmas lights in the next couple of weeks. I bought 2 boxes full price last year and 10 more on 75% off at clearance. I love LED lights.

Around here, CC doesn't get NEARLY the crowds as BB does. But it still gets busy.

best deal on Butterscotch?
Azzycat replied to madisonsmommy's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Costco had the pony in So CA for $189. Poor thing..everyone was riding it in the middle of the aisle, adults included LOL. (not me... ) I searched online and found this code for free shipping for Kohls.com: MVC4112 expires 11/6 so hurry! combine it with the 30% off someone else posted. should be about $157 then :) -
I sent my sister to the site listed here in this deal to check out the webkinz prices and she said she usually goes to http://www.theimportstoreonline.com/ this is a store out of Texas, she said they use priority shipping and you get your orders pretty fast. I was looking at that site and they have the seal and yellow lab for $11.99 (ships 11/9) and also the SUPER SUPER hard to find clothes. I haven't seen ANY clothes anywhere in town. They are also taking pre-orders for the penguin, lil'kinz penguin, turtle, collie, charcoal cat, and love frog for $12.99 for big kinz, $9.99 lil' one. my son loves webkinz...and epets...and lps online... any virtual pet basically...

Wow thanks... I just paid the highest I've ever paid for a webkinz yesterday... $14.99+tax... because we have been looking for the Husky EVERYWHERE and not finding it. Too bad we didn't wait one more day! This is a great find, esp the fact accessories are also reasonable (like cards) and Santa might put those in stockings.

Make sure the $159 mixer is the model you want. That's the smallest mixer with the least amount of power. I've read it has trouble mixing thick doughs, like some breads even. I think MOST people prefer at least the next model up. I bought my mixer on Amazon, too; I think they had a special in May or June where Kitchenaid also had a special mail in form to get a free accessory. Don't forget about Kohl's, too. They run great specials every now and then, esp if you open a Kohl's charge. The day you open the charge you get an extra 10% on top of any sales. My friend bought her professional model Kitchenaid mixer for about $180 after discounts at Kohl's. Don't know how...I think maybe it was 30% off, she had a 30% off coupon from a friend, and they gave her 10% for opening an account. Hmm every now and then you can get great deals at Macy's and Gottschalk's for mixers, too. Honestly your best bet is probably amazon but keep your eyes open.

Toshiba HD-DVD Player HD-A2 $129.99 shipped @ Circuitcity.com
Azzycat replied to wnielsen1's topic in Online Hot Deals
I was at Sears today and the A2 model was priced at $289.99. The sales lady told us she would price match other stores since we told them they were too high (LOL she wasn't confident she could go to Walmart's price LOL!). I'm sitting here this evening thinking that Sears' price matching policy is the price + 10% of the difference. So...if you could go to the B&M Sears, get them to price match this online price at Circuit City, Sears would also give you an extra 10% of the difference. In my case (Southern CA), it would be $16 back, so the A2 would cost $113. Pretty close the Walmart price, without the WM hassle. And you'd walk out of the store with it, and not have to wait for shipping. (I went to 2 WMs and both were completely sold out of the DVD player Friday. Since my daughter and I didn't leave the house until 9:30am, I'm not surprised, just a bit disappointed. ) -
Looking for My Little Pony Clothing
Azzycat replied to turtlemom2's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
My first thought would be to check Kohls or Mervyn's or some of the smaller "mini department store" places across the county like Meijer, Shopko, etc. Maybe even Sears and KMart. They carry character clothing that isn't just the Disney line. Haven't seen any pony clothes at Target or Walmart lately. -
Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2007
Azzycat replied to 1angelnhvn's topic in Offline Hot Deals
Picked up a FoodSaver for 75% off today.. $24.98 !!!!!!!!!!! I was happy dancing all the way home; I've been wanting one of these for 2 years! I feel justified in buying the bags at 75% off 3 months ago. DH just gave me that LOOK when he noticed them in my Target bag. ROFL Of course the HP castle was gone... -
I'm hoping to start decorating inside the weekend after Thanksgiving. Outside, I don't mind waiting a bit longer. Our December bill was one of our highest bills last year even though we only had 5 strands of lights. I splurged on 90% off day last year and stocked up on LED lights (take up less electricity) but I also bought a couple small inflatables so I think the electricity savings will balance out....

I walked in I think around 8am last year. They said the doorbusters were gone in the first hour, and many of the movie sets. At 8am they still had A LOT of the DVD players, a few of certain cameras, no moniters. I think I'm employing your strategy this year. If I'm not getting my DVD player and TV and Walmart, then I will be going to BB. But I don't want to camp out and really prefer not to be there for the opening rush.

If you look on the Wal*.com site they have Hasbro toys with bonus packs of extra toys. The pricing and look is an awful lot like BF packages. Anybody else think they may pawn these same deals off for BF? Thought about ordering one Littlest Pet Shop set, but they wanted $10 shipping for the $20 pack. No free site to store. What a rip off! Thing only weighed 1.6 pounds!!

I was at Lowe's last year. Let me see what I can recall... The shopvac was $29. I bought it for my parents for Christmas. They love it. I THINK it was this one last year: http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=215728-20097-93010-11&lpage=none They sold out of the ones on the floor and I walked down the shop vac aisle and was able to find it on the top shelf. It was NOT a special BF model, it was a model they regularly carried in the store, just had to match the model number from the ad. So if they sell out on the pallet, check the shop vac aisle. Target usually has shop vac accessories clearance in the spring. Lowe's had a toilet set for $30 or so (tank, bowl, no seat) Drill set tool sets Poinsettas half price LED flashlights (I think they were the no battery type) storage bins (plastic, Tupperware variety) boxes of firewood (GREAT deal on this, like 50-70% off, depending where you normally buy it) pre-lit Christmas tree extended financing and 0% interest on appliances I'd like to say there were some bigger priced items in the ad for special pricing too but I can't guarentee. I remember walking down the aisle around some huge pallets of things I had no interest in. Most people that get there at store opening are after the drill and tool sets.

The items I bought online from CC Thanksgiving could NOT be picked up in store but they had free shipping. I think the SD cards I ordered from CC arrived within a couple days after BF and the items I ordered from BB arrived 7-10 days after BF.

Title says it all. Free $20 gift card with any DS system purchase at TRU, thru 10/20, while supplies last. I just called my ToysRUs in So. CA and was told it would also work for DS Lite systems as well. Online they are only letting you get it with DS systems. online DS systems are $129 in my store DS Lite systems are also $129 This week TRU also has a Buy 2, get 3rd free on select video games. I'm wondering if they will let you use your gift card on top of this offer. I don't know if the conditions on the card limit that. If they will let you use it, really you could pick up $20 games and get 3 games for $20 ($20+$20+ $20 - $20 free game - $20 gift card).

Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2007
Azzycat replied to 1angelnhvn's topic in Offline Hot Deals
picked up a few things that made me happy today. Spiderman Monopoly finally hit $7.48 (I picked this up for my sister's fiance for Christmas, only to be informed he won't like it...GRRRR, I was so excited to almost finish my shopping) Pogo Island (DS system) $14.98 Math blaster PC game, either $5 or $7, can't remember. been looking for one for my son so I was excited I found it on clearance, and that it was under $10, so I didn't care. Game Boy Advance Pirates of Caribean game was 50% off... $9.98... still waiting for it to hit 75%, there are A LOT of them left. Spelling Word Workbook w/CD game for 1-2 grade $3.74 cool thing is that your child can enter their actual spelling words into the CD program and study for their tests using the computer game saw the TV stand people liked. they finally marked the steam cleaner down at my Target. Can't remember the kind, it was a small red model and it only was at 30% right now. There was a REALLY nice Hamilton Beach crockpot. Not on clearance, but on a Temporary Price Markdown (which may mean it's only at select stores). Originally $49.99, marked down to $34.99 6qt crockpot with a temperature probe. You can program it to either go by time, just cook at slow/fast/warm settings, or set it to cook until the temperature reaches a certain programmed point. You can program the probe for different temperatures. Tells you on the front of the crockpot what temp each meat should be cooked to. If only I needed a new crockpot... I'd buy this one for a wedding present, if I knew anyone getting married that needed one. -
What is a good Christmas Idea for Uncles
Azzycat replied to doublehsmom's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
okay, I'm really cheap when it comes to my uncles... but we have one of those big family Christmas where everyone exchanges presents with everyone. It gets expensive! I never speak to my uncles except at Christmas and MAYBE Thanksgiving, so I don't feel compelled to get them a lot or spend a lot. Besides, they know we have small children, and their annual salary is 2-3 times what ours is. One year I bought them calenders from the 99 cent store. They had the brand new Sports Illustrated calenders out. Got them the desk and wall model. I think I threw in some chocolates or some food treats, too. One year I bought a couple $5.50 movies from Walmart for one. Got a gift card for the other for some food. Last year I picked up the Chik Fil A calender full of coupons for one, along with a gift card. Great thing about Chik Fil A coupons is they NEVER expire (they say they do, but they still take them), you can use them ANYTIME (i.e. you can use the June coupons in January) and all Chik Fil A accepts their coupons at any store. So even if you get coupons good for only one store, they will take them at all Chik Fil As. Looking to buy more coupon calenders this year, maybe get one or two different restaurants coupon books this time (Farmer Boys has them here too) . Maybe a Starbucks gift card, or $10-15 gift card for a meal or two out (like at Quiznos, In-and-Out, etc). Honestly I also watch the freebies board, too. One year I got a super nice Thomas Kinkaid scarf for free. Gave it to my grandmother for Christmas. It was her favorite present that year. I got a nice architectual book for my aunt one Christmas, and my sister some magazine subs. They may be free, but they are still nice gifts. Hmm stack up your CVS bucks and you can buy freebie items there for your uncles, too. (I really am cheap when it comes to some things, aren't I?) -
Ours opened I think like at 1 or 2am BF morning. You were able to walk through the store and scout out your spots next to the pallets. If you talked to the employees, they would tell you what was hiding under each wrapped pallet so you were directed to the correct location for 5am. They have had the TVs and other major electronics down near the back of the grocery section the last couple of years because the middle aisle is bigger than the electronics area.

320Gig External Hard Drive $33.99 at Best Buy
Azzycat replied to Tlafleur's topic in Offline Hot Deals
They had 2 hard drives left at my local Best Buy in So CA. I had them price check both and both were scanning at $129.99. You were a very lucky duck and I'm very jealous!
