  1. BEST BUY BUCKS thread: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=44592 Start there....
  2. I have Keens walking sandals that I bought 3 Summers ago and I wear almost every day when it's shorts weather. They've held up well. Back when I sold cars and did trade shows I used to wear shoes with Dr. Martens soles built in (these are part of the shoe, not an insole like Dr. Scholl's). They hold up well and have air pockets built into the soles, but they tend to be on the heavy side. http://www.highheelshoemuseum.com/imagesmen/zmen20.jpghttp://www.famousfootwear.com/productimages/ff_is22318.jpghttp://www.gbyliquidations.com/images/items/drmartens7bkgd.jpg

  5. I love their Swedish Meatballs (in the cafeteria). http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Food/thhungry.gif We always plan eating there.
  6. Usually there's a fast food chain or grocery store in the area that has discount coupons. I don't know who Six Flags has an arrangement with (if at all...)
  7. Nice work. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Yes/th6dc0616a.gif
  8. I'll second that... I bought our Olevia 26" LCD TV from Office Depot during BF 2005. I waited FIVE (5) MONTHS for the $200 rebate. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Rude/fantastisk.gif
  9. As soon as any of us know the details, rest assured they'll be a thread devoted to it. That's how we've handled it in years past...
  10. Around here, Sears, Lowes and Home Depot sell off their grills and lawn mowers at the end of the season to make room for snowblowers. Depends on where in the snow belt you are I guess. I don't recall ever seeing a lawn mower for BF.
  11. I wonder how those parents that paid $400+ on ebay feel now?
  12. I don't have kids... Are those Tickle Me Elmos still difficult to get?
  13. Looks like they are still in effect. They are called "bereavement fares": http://www.anitavacation.com/articles/air/bereavement.shtml http://airtravel.about.com/cs/airtravellinks/a/bereavement.htm But maybe they aren't that much of a discount: http://www.usatoday.com/money/biztravel/2005-02-21-bereavement-usat_x.htm http://www.smartertravel.com/travel-advice/Bereavement-fares-Little-consolation.html?id=14172
  14. Sorry to hear of your Grandfather's passing. For specific prices, it would probably help to know the exact airports she could fly from/to. Don't quote me, but years ago airlines used to offer hardship discounts for funerals involving a death in the family. I don't know if they still do, but it's worth calling and asking. You would need to call each airline individually, not a travel web site. They may need a copy of the death certificate to offer the rates.
  15. I saw them.
  16. I struck out at my usual sources.
  17. Here are some starting at $72.23: http://www.abebooks.com/servlet/SearchResults?sts=t&y=8&kn=Texas+Instruments+TI-84&x=25 (The one for $72.23 is used)... AbeBooks.com is similar to half.com and ebay, including seller feedback. I've never bought anything through them though.
  18. In my area, Dick's Sporting Goods runs coupons in the local Entertainment Book. I don't know if they do in your area or not. The Dick's coupons are for $10 off $50, $15 off $75, and $20 off $100. You'll have to buy the book to get the coupon, www.entertainment.com. The books are $9.99 plus shipping right now since all of the 2007 books "expire" on 11/1/07. But you should probably make sure that Dick's has the dumbell set you want before you order the Entertainment Book. Dick's tends to run sails on weight-training and aerobic equipment as we head into Fall and people exercise indoors. The biggest sales are usually the weeks just following New Year's for those resolution-makers.
  19. Due to the weight of the item, you will probably find the best deals in a local brick-and-mortar. You should try Wal-Mart, K-Mart, and local sports stores (Dick's Sporting Goods, etc.).
  20. We have a Frigidaire dishwasher. I paid a little over $200 from Lowe's four years ago. It's not the fanciest, but the dishes come out clean.

  22. davephillyj -- if you are going to spend the money for a 22" or 24", you probably would like to get Vista Home Premium so you can have Aero.
  23. They can't outrun the Ban Hammer... http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Fight%20Hit/animation14vf.gif
  24. Newegg.com has it for $175.99 + $7.14 s/h, but it comes with a free 1GB SD card. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Description=DMC-LZ7&x=19&y=34 Black or silver body, same price (Amazon charges more for silver for some reason)
