  1. You're welcome. Good luck to you as well. :)
  2. Quite honestly, I haven't found out enough about the LE and how it's different (better or worse) from the Version 3 besides what I posted at the end of this thread: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showpost.php?p=900727&postcount=2 If you are interested, call TomTom's support and let me know what they said and I'll update the thread. "To contact Customer Support team by phone call 1 866 486 6866 (available 8:30AM to 7:00PM EST Mon - Fri and 9:00AM to 5:00PM EST Saturdays)"
  3. But why don't you go for the TomTom One version 3? It's practically the same thing as the TomTom LE without BB's incredible wait.... The TomTom One Version 3 will be available here: $124.99 w/$20 Staples Gift Card instantly @ Staples $129.99 @ Office Depot $139.99 @ RadioShack $149.99 @ CompUSA (Thur-Sat) If you missed the info, go back to page one of this thread, I have it listed just above the TomTom LE. I'd have to be spending upwards of $2K to make it worth the agony of stepping foot into a BB on BF, but that's just me. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Non-Smiling/OuttaHere.gif

    Navigon 2100

Yup, currently 68 cities and their surrounding areas: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showpost.php?p=973420&postcount=171
  5. The Navigon 2100 will come with a card of some sort inside the box to sign you up for the traffic from Navigon. Is that what you mean?
  6. I'm sorry, I've read your post twice now and I can't figure out what you're trying to say. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Hmmm/dontknow.gif It's almost like it's missing a few words... TomTom makes the TomTom One. Magellan makes other units. Which model are you after? But, yes, 4:30 am is far too late to get any doorbuster at BB. Maybe some $5 DVDs but that's about it.
  7. That's pretty much all there is to it. You could sign up for a ID and password if you'd like to take care of it ahead of time: https://secure.newegg.com/MyAccount/AccountRegistration.aspx
  8. You're quite welcome. It seems that people have really enjoyed this thread -- we'll roll over 10K views soon... Yeah, for your use, the TomTom is the one to go with. BTW, in reference to the "what they got" comment - I already plan thread with a poll of "Which one did you buy?"
  9. Anytime! http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Yes/highfive.gif And congrats on your 1,000th post!
  10. There is a fee for the "traffic" feature, if you want the traffic service. Otherwise there is no fee whatsoever.
  11. It would allow you to connect to your Bluetooth enabled cell phone to be used as a hands-free calling device (vs. a headset).
  12. Absolutely! Add $50 - $200 to any of those for "regular prices" (depending on the unit).
  13. LOL, thanks.... Yeah, it's quite possible that by the time you really "need" new maps for the Navigon 2100, it'll be time to buy a new GPS (as in BF 2008, like you are saying). Granted, the Navigon will have new maps available every six months, but no one is forcing you to buy them, you can "make do" with maps on your own schedule... Personally, I need to buy two GPS units and I don't know which one to get. Yeah, it's THAT close. We do live close enough to Philly that we'd be covered by traffic info on the Navigon, but being able to load up POIs would be a plus. At least I know that I want to get two of the same units since one is for my parents and I'll be fielding tech support calls... But, yeah, it's a flip of the coin type of decision... I just wanted to point out the most minute details of these two units if that would sway people one way or the other. I think that most people would be happy with either unit. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Happy/yay.gif
  14. You rang? http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Non-Smiling/gdlisten.gif
  15. OK, everyone.... I just updated my "short list" @ 5:45 pm. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Sports%20Exercise/box22.gif It's the TomTom One (v3 or LE) vs. Navigon 2100 slugfest.... http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Sports%20Exercise/box.gif Who's the winner?: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=87388
  16. I would recommend being there by 5 am at least. Last BF I was at Staples by 5:15 and got everything on my list. However, every year BF gets more popular so I am shooting for 4 am. Have you used the traffic feature at all? Does it track every decent sized road, or just the major highways?
  17. I would bet that a Dell employee made a typo.
  18. Yes, the TomTom will definitely be a ticketed item, so you can only get one per person. You as an individual could get two different GPSs though (one TomTom and one Navigon, for instance). We already have a "Official *STAPLES* What Time To Get In Line Thread" please post your "what time" question there: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=88234 Closing this thread.
  19. The LE models at BB would require camping out for 20+ hours. I'd keep the ones you have.
  20. Yep, checkbook and a valid driver's license is all you'll need. The retailer will copy your DL # onto the check and they will electronically verify that the funds for your check are currently in your account. It's not that much slower than paying by debit card despite what the "Life takes Visa" commercials would have you believe. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOMhNb6jtrg
  21. Everybody wants to be Amazon.
  22. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Food/th65.gif They need the rice cooker to compete with the $4 appliances from Wal-Mart. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Mil-Laughter/laugh3.gif

    Navigon 2100

As I understand it, there will be information about it in the box. No additional cost and no rebate.
  24. You can write a check. Make sure to bring your I.D.
