  1. Yeah, and probably the normally busy stores (for BF) like BB & CC will be completely empty since so many shoppers were there the day before (they certainly won't need to go again so soon).
  2. Yeah, pretty much... Today is the last day of this sale, but Best Buy is giving free iTunes gift cards with iPod purchases. That's typically the best deal. However, Apple sent out e-mails to announce a sale on BF. Go here to read more: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=90245
  3. Yeah, and the OP should be prepared for the attitude that the BB clerks are going to give Tequila when the BB stuff is returned. Back in 2005 I had to return Ram I bought from Staples (it was a doorbuster). I was returning it on BF, but after doorbuster hours. Man, you would've thought I hit the manager's dog with my car.
  4. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Yes/shesaidpurp.gif Cars can be replaced. Children cannot.
  5. I wasn't aware that anyone was doing Saturday doorbusters. The doorbusters that I am referring to are the ones that are offered from 5am - 10am (or similar hours) at a given store on BF. Are you thinking of something else? Or does someone have special sale items on Saturday only?
  6. I don't think that the T-Mobile dealers (the corporate ones) will be that busy... Too many people will be busy shopping at "stores" to be clogging up T-Mobile dealers.
  7. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Thread-Related/Fight/mypostbeatup.gif Keep it civil, people. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Yes/ok.gif
  8. You should read through this thread and post your question there: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=81803
  9. There won't be any doorbusters, of course. And much of the two-day sale items are sold out on the first day, but you won't find the long lines either.
  10. TomTom One LE models can do multi-stop itineraries where as the Version 3 cannot. http://www.gpsreview.net/forums/viewtopic.php?p=9110
  11. After some digging.... You are correct. The TomTom One version 3 lacks itinerary planning:http://www.gpsreview.net/forums/viewtopic.php?p=9110
  12. You can complain all you want, but do it in the "I hate Wal-Mart thread": http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=88572 Closing this one.

    External CD burners

A few questions, especially since his computer only has a CD-ROM... What is the Operating System? (if it's Win98, you could have problems)Are the USB ports USB 1.1 or 2.0? (if it's USB 1.1, your Dad will have some ridiculously slow burns)How much Ram (1GB or more should be the minimum)How fast is the processor? (650Mhz is the absolute floor)Let us know if he meets those minimums. If not, your Dad needs a new computer, not an external DVD burner.
  14. Please use the official thread, specific for this purpose: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=82672. Closing thread.
  15. My hair wasn't as gray then as it is now. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Male/old.gif
  16. Threads merged.
  17. Thanks, I wanted to be dressed "business casual" -- dressy enough to look like I cared, but not too dressy. Yeah, I was swimming in the polo shirt that Brad sent. I did mail it off to a GD member so someone's husband is wearing it and "represenentin'"! http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Slang/boo-yah.gif
  18. I was inspired by Big Jim's article on CNBC to finally go ahead and get around to uploading my 2005 interview with NBC-10. Here is a link to the original thread: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=21028 I ripped this from VHS tape a while ago, but never got around to uploading it. I had thought that I would need to deal with optimizing it for online viewing, but recently learned that YouTube takes care of all of that... So, without further ado, here I am: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9rQpnE7L_4 http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Tasks/TV099.gif It was recorded at NBC-10 Studios on 11/11/05, but didn't air until 11/22/05. I tried to sling for GottaDeal as much as I could but they only used a fraction of what was recorded. In hindsight, it was kinda funny that it took longer to drive there and back than I actually spend there (about 1/2 hour at the studio). Tracy Davidson was really nice in person and it was a thrill to both represent GottaDeal and to meet someone you see on TV on a regular basis. And it goes without saying, but the specific prices mentioned are from 2005, not the current ads...
  19. An internet squatter is similar to a "real world" squatter: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/squatter (definition #3)
  20. I don't know if I'd need to do that, but... The thing I just figured out was... Navigon may not offer the free traffic service after BF, but you'll always be able to score a TomTom One for at least a reasonable price if the Navigon is not what I expected. Oh, and two years ago I returned BF Ram to Staples and it was still BF (but after the doorbuster hours). You would've thought I had just hit the manager's dog with my car.
  21. I added a quote of my original question to darkd's response above so it would have a point of reference... --- Yeah, I'm thinking that's the one I'm going to go for... Thanks for getting back to us. Two Navigon 2100s, please.
  22. Are you going to let other people use your porta-potty? http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Non-Smiling/explode.gif How much did that cost, by the way?
  23. Nice article, Dev! Thanks for doing this... I thought it was strange how their first recommended site was blackfriday.com (which is a squatter site).
  24. Essentially, yes.... But I'm sure that the manager or cashier would prefer that you use it on a future purchase. http://blackfriday.gottadeal.com/images/aditempics/Staples/20071111145403.jpg
