  1. From what I can tell... I took the list from here posted as BF ads and looked them up, the stores in my area are offering them starting today... you can look up the ones in your area: http://www.biglots.com/ scroll to the bottom and click on Register On Line, then type in your zip code... the stores will come up and you can view the ads or have them emailed to you! Michele
  2. FYI... You can get the same deals at Big Lots starting today as you can on BF (one less stop)... Barbies $1.99 Michele
  3. Now that was an interesting article!!! GO GottaDeal!!! Michele
  4. There have been WalmartWatch ads on the radio. They sing a jingle about how bad Walmart is to the tune of Santa Claus Is Coming To Town. I think it said their website is www.walmartwatch.com, but I have not been there. I'm too skeered to check it out (yet). I don't normaly shop there anyway, but my reasons are it is too far away and WAY over crowded not to mention the rude sales people (which if they are not getting health benefits, and all the other stuff the radio ads said maybe they have a good reason to be grumpy). I actually tried to go there last week and when I asked for help and was given a blow off response I walked back out got in my van and drove over to Target where they were nice to me and I felt a lot better about being there. Michele PS - now I have Santa Claus Is Coming to Town running through my brain! ACK!
  5. I agree, I was realy hoping Target would have some better deals on their toys. Last year I bought almost all my daughter's toys at Target and Kmart, but this year I hardly see anything worth getting up so early for.... I will still probably go to Target and hope they have some sales like last year, I picked up a bunch of Barbies for under $2 each. I also need to get my hubby some tools from Sears, but I don't have to be the first one in the door there. Maybe Kohls or Mervyns will have something more appealling. So far the "deals" are "Ho Hum". Michele
  6. Oh, thank-you for asking this questions - I too have to buy for a 12 year-old. She is my daughter's "dance sister", they pair up the little ones with the older ones and I had no idea what to get her. They have a huge dance Christmas party where they exchange gifts with their "dance sisters". Thank-you also to all who replied!!! I didn't even think about Bath and Body stuff and Movie Tickets!! Great ideas! Michele
  7. Note to self: Don't go to Flying J (and I've seen them in AZ). The TTT in Tucson is pretty nice if you're driving through Tucson on I-10. I hope no employees are rude to me on BF, being over tired will not exactly have me in the most forgiving spirit, and I have learned from my hubby to ask to speak to their supervisor or grab a comment card and start filling it out in front of them. Michele
  8. Thanks for the info - good to know! Michele :flag:
  9. A lot of local food places will usually give a military discount as well, but you have to have a current ID card. Michele:flag:
  10. Me too! I have no idea yet, I'm waiting to more ads - LOL!!! Michele :flag:
  11. Last year or two I have been done by noon or 1pm. One of my very best friends is moving here in the next couple of days so as a team we may make a day of it, although I'd like to spend some time with the kids too! What I love about this site is I can plan ahead and save as much time as possible! After all Time IS Money! :) Michele :flag:
  12. Oh Goodness! I feel for her! The only thing I can think of that would be worse is working the return line the day after Christmas - ACK! Michele:usflag:
  13. Bring a snack (protein) - the hot flash may be a sign of low blood sugar, at least that is what happened to me. Michele
  14. I like it better at Kmart sometimes because they are not as crowded and they had some great prices on toys when I went last time. Michele:usflag:
