These store opening times are just getting stupid. It is supposed to be Black FRIDAY, not Thursday!! It is getting ridiculous each store trying to open earlier than the other. I personally would like to enjoy my Thanksgiving with family, get a little rest or spend my time tweaking my BF shopping plan, and then go out in the wee morning hours, say 3:30am. Now there are stores opening at 9pm on Thursday - WTH is wrong with management of these stores? Let your employees enjoy Thanksgiving and the rest of us too! OK, sorry, rant over!!

I had a gftcard for New York and Company that I had forgotten about - I wasn't planning on going there, but thought what the heck, I quickly picked out two items and since the sale was so good my two items came out free with still a few bucks on the GC so I told the associate to use the rest of the GC on the person checking out next to me! I bet that lady was surprised! :)

Eddie Bauer Black Friday, 40% off of everything until Noon

Wow - thanks - another stop added to my list! -
This ad is better than last year's Target BF ad (at least for the things I want). Again their toy sales are rather lame. What is the price of the Mind Flex? It is cut off in the ad. Mostly looking at the Garmin, possibly some bedding, the girls embellished jeans, and the NCAA Team Fleece - yay Arizona! :) I see a lot of stuff that I think will be good for our adopt a families this year (household items and clothing).

Get a size 9. I wear an 8.5 in most shoes but my New Balance are all 9. I don't think they run narrow, I usually get a 9B. -

Official One-and-Only "What I Got" / "My BF Experience" Thread

I really think Thursday was my best shopping day! I went to Radio Shack and got 10yr old dd's laptop, bought us a new desktop from BB on line and picked up some toys for 5yr old dd at K-mart! Friday's experience: JCPenny was great - clothes for the kids (mostly the 5yr old), two golf shirts and a waffle maker for DH - their check out sucks, but I always sneak to the little known cashier in the furniture section. Target - was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT - usually they are so helpful, I had to ask 3 people where to find one item, and the stupid hard drive - that was a joke, we were all waiting in line, a guy brings a box of 8 or 10 and there had to be 30+ people waiting, he hands them out randomly and says they have a pallet coming out, then another guy comes out and says if you want the hard drive you need to go to the register in electronics (where there are a whole 2 people working) so this mass of people heads that direction in no particular order, the line was insane. I said forget it, totally not worth it... I went to the check out where the lines were again outrageous... I then realized I had less then 10 items in my cart - so I went to the express line! I spent about $70 at Target when my normal BF receipt is around $400. I will say the eastside Target renewed my faith and when I stopped there after lunch I found very helpful employees and a whole shelf full of the hard drives! TRU - better than I expected, but I didn't get there until after 5am... so the mad rush was mostly over, I didn't have much on my list and a couple of items were gone, no biggie Sears - I really had no reason to go to Sears but I was killing time waiting for my friend so I flipped through their ad and ended up going in and getting the Sony DVD player for my daughter I figured I'd go in and see stores were open - holy cow! The majority of the mall opened at 5am! The poor employees... the lady at Motherhood said she didn't have a single customer until 8am, and the girl at Justice said they were dead all morning. I bought my oldest daughter clothes at Justice and I bought myself some clothes at Motherhood. Sports Authority - ended up getting DH a hoodie sweatshirt w/college team for $14.00 - in and out in less than 10 min! Michaels - eh, it was ok, didn't end up buying anything, but my friend did. -
I made it! I'm 15 1/2 weeks and have the morning/noon/night sickness. I went to bed at 9pm and woke up at midnight - of all things I was hungry! I went back to bed but kept thinking about my BF plan of attack. I finally fell asleep around 2am, only to get back up at 3am to start my day. I was on the road by 0335 and arrived at JCPenny at exactly 4am (took one of my morning sickness pills on my way to JCP), I hit Target at 5:10, TRU at 5:45am, the BX at 6:30, then I went to the mall, Justice, Motherhood, Sears (twice) and numerous trips to the bathroom, then Sports Authority and Michaels... my friend who was supposed to go w/me did not contact me until much later in the day, we didn't meet up until after 10:30am. We went to lunch around 11:30 and then hit Target (again for me). I had two more quick stops to make (Pet store and Walgreens) and I made it home by 2pm feeling pretty good. I am now however officially exhausted - I think the day finally caught up with me around 4:30pm! Jordan - I am 37 and this was a huge surprise for us - I hope you have a have a happy healthy pregnancy and get over the morning sickness sooner than I have (ask for Zofran if you need it).

Went to Radio Shack today, 10:10am - laughed at the old man with his hand on the same laptop I was there to buy... four of us stood next to the laptops, guy comes out to help and starts at the back of the line (lol) - that guy wanted a camera (???) - RS guy brings him the camera and looks at me - I told him the guy over there and I both want this laptop, this guy next to me wants the netbook... RS guy comes out with all of our items. I walk to the line where my friend was standing and we were next to check out! YAY! This morning I bought a Desktop from Best Buy on line - it's been an expensive Turkey Day! -
Samsung was smart and expanded their business outlook years ago... after research (and development) they entered other markets and have been very successful in them. It's not like they just changed their minds one day and said "hey, I think instead of a VCR we should make a washing machine"

My daughter is so excited - she was on the radio when she and my mom dropped off items at the food bank and my mom wrote them a check as well. We just got our adopt-a-families at work, we have 8 families as of now and I've requested 1 more. I'm so excited because we'll get all the info out before BF - we can get more for each family/assist more families if we shop wisely. Thank-you gottadeal.com - you help make it all possible!

I would think it would be fine w/the brick red - the roomba has a sensor so it won't fall down stairs so if doesn't "see" the floor it thinks it will fall into the "black hole". I'm not sure how dark a carpet has to be for it not to work, I just know that there is at least one wooter (woot.com) who always states it will not work on his/her floor because the carpet is dark.
-
We've owned 2 roombas and we have a Scooba too... DH is not too happy with the current one because it seems to want to be cleaned all the time, but we have two dogs now, so what would you expect! I love the roombas, we have have the 530 now, from Woot, wish I could have gotten the 560 (scheduling feature). You still have to use your regular vacuum once in a while for deep down cleaning, but these will certainly help with day to day keep up of the floors in your home - oh they do not work on dark carpet. I have a med-lt gray carpet and it works fine on that.
-
I'm not sure but I'll ask a friend who has the steam today when I get to work. Take a look at the washer/dryer size on the Kenmore - I thought it was smaller than the Samsung. In my case that is more important as I need to get more laundry done in less time. This is what I found on the dryer: Specs: 27 in x 30 in x 38 in, Neat white, Sensor Dry technology, Adjustable temperature, Normal, Delicate, Time dry, Air fluff, Heavy duty, Perm press, Wrinkle prevent, Wrinkle release

I was looking at a netbook and asked that same question on the woot forum - I was told no, the webkinz screen gets cut off and you end up not being able to play the games. I was told it works fine if you hook the netbook up to a monitor - but then what the point in getting a netbook?!? So am getting the oldest a laptop instead. -
These are not the steam washer or dryer from what I can tell. Yes, I meant to get in line early - Sears is not Walmart so if you can get there a couple of hours early and you should have a good chance of getting the set. My Sears usually starts getting a line around 3:30/4am when they opened at 6am. I didn't see anything about a free gift card this year so the lines might not be as long as usual (in the past people would line up early for the $10 GC).
-
Samsung was rated the top by consumer reports last year (we looked but didn't buy one then) - so I don't how they can be a "piece of junk". Whatever - everyone has their own opinion. The reviews we read on the Samsung were all very good, the only ones that were not positive were from people who didn't 1) get the right cord and blamed the dryer and 2) didn't measure the space properly so the washer didn't fit (and of course blamed the appliance) My Sears said they will only have 6 of the Samsungs available on BF so you might want to check with your store to see how many they will have and then get in line early. Remember the cord does not come with dryer and the type of cord you need depends on your home set-up not the type of dryer. (Looks like the cords run about $19 at Sears)

LOL! Easy mistake - and yes 1 hour would NOT be enough time to even get to the register at TRU on BF! -

Office Depot 1 Acer 15.6 Dual Core Laptop $379.99 Staples 1 Memorex 7" Widescreen Portable DVD player $29.99 Target iTunes $25 prepaid giftcard $20.00 2 of the Girls 2-piece sleep set ($5.00 each) = $10.00 Western Digital 1TB External Harddrive $59.98 Total: $499.96 Thanks citrixgirl - now I get more for my money! I'm obviously going to need more than $500 this year, this is hardly a dent in my list! -
I got my Samsung washer and dryer last night... and I got the additional $10 off the pedastals because I told them there were two $5 coupon codes I could use if ordered them on line, so she gave it to me. My Sears card had been cancelled due to inactivity so I signed up for a new one and now we have 6 months to pay it off same as cash, so now our saving doesn't have to take a big hit and we can pay it off w/DH's overtime over the next few months (we ALWAYS pay it off before the time is up - I refuse to pay interest!) Plus DH called me this morning to tell me he has already sold our old washer and dryer! YAY!!

Thank-you Brad! I could just kiss you... well er, I don't think my husband would like that, so I'm just going to kiss my computer instead! LOL!
