We are spending too darn much! But I can't pass up that washer and dryer! (plus Laptop, Wii, and possibly a Dyson - YIKES!)

OK so I'm now thinking about the Acer Aspire (Dual Core 4GB/320GB), it looks like Office Depot and Radio Shack are offering the same one, but it is cheaper at OD (379.99), but if I can get from Radio Shack on line w/free shipping and the coupon, it might work out better and free up my BF for other shopping opportunities. A guy at work told me he got through college with his $500 Acer and he's an engineer so I'm thinking this will work well for a 10yr old!

The Sears Samsung Washer and Dryer set - unfortunately that's not something the kids are going to care about... nothing jaw dropping in the toy dept so far *sigh*

Ok so I'm disappointed in the toy sales but they do have some items that will get me there... the Dyson is a good deal and my vac is on it's last legs, also the kids $5 pjs, and the $17 Littlest Pet Shop game and I'll probably pick up some movies. I usually buy most of the kids toys from Target, but I'm a little worried this year, I'm not seeing a lot of great deals and we don't need any more games falling out of the closet! Geez I hope I don't have to go to Wally World to get toys this year... yikes, the thought gives me a panic attack!

So it's $80 more to buy the Samsung washer and dryer on F&F, but it doesn't say anything about it not qualifing for free delivery... I think I'll try to get the set this Sunday - it's worth the extra $80 to 1) make sure I can get the set and 2) have DH haggle for free delivery!

Well if the 10 yr old gets a laptop this year she will not have as many gifts to open as her sister (5)! She'll just have to get over it!

DH bought me a laptop for Christmas last year... this year I'm looking for one for our daughter... when I saw this I looked on the Staples webpage to get more details. It's a HP Pavilion dv7-1451nr Entertainment laptop... I looked at the one I'm typing on right now... It's a HP Pavilion dv5-1159se Entertainment laptop (!) and I know DH paid over $1000 for it! I'm going to try top snag one of these for our daughter but I'm worried because it is currently not in stock at any of the Staples near me.

No free turkeys here... but we will fry a small one and cook a large one on Thanksgiving. The extended family will eat at our house with lots of help getting everything ready from my mom. Last year we invited some guys (Air Force) who in town TDY and worked w/my Dh. Even after giving everyone bags of food to take with them we still had leftovers through the weekend!

I am looking at this one for my 10 yr old daughter as well... it would be used for: iTunes, Webkinz (which I was told cannot be played on a netbook, screen cuts off), school work (MS Office), and internet (there are some websites she has to go to for school). She will also probably want to play my Farmville - LOL! Oh and I can see the 5 yr old possibly wanting to play Freddie Fish on it as well.

I showed DH the Samsung W&D set - at first he thought they were $999 each - then he said "wait what did that say? For the SET?!" - he was impressed w/the price so as long as I can get my hands on them on BF - I'm getting my washer and dryer! WOOHOO!

Yep - we do adopt-a-family at work - we usually adopt at least 6 needy families - I always take the sizes and wish lists with me and pick up things from thier lists while I'm out!

I just bought mine! The Big Family gift for Christmas is now checked off the list!!

Tiger Butter 1- 16oz pkg white candy melts (you can find these at Michael's) 1- 16oz pkg light chocolate candy melts 1/2 to 1 cup creamy peanut butter (we use Jif) Melt white candy melts in double boiler. Add peanut butter - mix well. Spread out on wax paper lined pan. Melt chocolate melts. Pour chocolate melts on top of peanut butter mixture. Run knife through to marblize. Cool. Break or cut into pieces. This is like Reese's fudge - best way I can explain what it tastes like - and it freezes well, my mom makes a ton every year and we send to friends and relatives (and eat a bunch ourselves!).

WTH - I got a card on the front for $25 off $250 with "R" US credit card!?! Oh and my book cover was looked like the dog got a hold of it first - nice mail carrier! Of course with these prices it should be easy to reach that $250

Yep - that just me - the big ol meanie judgemental shopper - this is why I wasn't going to post anything - I guess you had to be there with the mom dressed all warm in a nice warm coat and everything Note to self - stop posting even when you are trying to be nice about it.

People will do what they have to do... I'm not going to take sides, all I ask is that if you do take your little ones, please dress them for the weather and watch out for them. I wanted to smack one mom upside the head when her baby (they were outside the store) was dressed in nothing but a oneies! I sure hope she was shopping to buy her kid some warmer clothes!!! I'm lucky that my DH won't go out of the house on BF so he gets to watch the kiddos - heck he probably won't get out of his pjs that day! LOL!

My daughter said there were 8 kids absent from her 4th grade class yesterday - it is just starting to hit our school district - yikes! Maybe we will be done and over it before BF!!
