what do you all think could possibly be the cheapest price a 32" LCD tv will come down to this year on bf? with some coming down to $199 this weekend, do you think they will drop even lower until bf or for bf? i am not too worried about the brand, etc. as it will be a bedroom tv that won't get a ton of useage, but i would love to surprise the hubby with a new one this year.

I have been doing the same thing the past few years...BUT....last year we ran into a problem. We took our receipts in to price adjust and they wouldn't do it (same store as years past) even with everything I knew in the past and told them, etc. They said they weren't doing them that day. Was I ever PO'd!! So, we ran around the store picked up everything we had bought that would get price adjusted and then just returned them with the old receipt. It was ridiculous and threw off our morning, but the amount of $$ I saved was worth it I suppose. We have a new target in our area this year, that is closer to home, and I guess depending on where we start this year, I will have to go in and speak to someone beforehand and get there name, etc. to bring along if I have problems.

Thanks! I am going to try and get as much shopping done before bf, and before all of the "must have" toys that my kids want are gone. I'd rather get them now instead of searching high and low and paying more for them later on. And I'm going to try my hardest not to stress over the bf prices and go crazy leading up to bf....wish me luck on that one! lol

Can anyone recall if they normally put different toys on sale for black friday then what they have listed in their toy book? I think I'm going to pick up a few things from the toy book, but I don't want BF to roll around and the lower the prices of the SAME toys. Thanks in Advance!! :)

Unfortunately this is not the wm store we will be shopping in....it's also not a super walmart.

I went into my local Walmart on my lunch break today, and they have tons of stuff in plastic with a sign on that the merchandise can't be purchased until Friday at 12:01! I only saw toys and clothing with plastic but didn't have time to venture to the electronics! I have never seen this done before - at least not this early in the week.

the plan as of now..... walmart - get there around 11pm thurs to find all the 12:01am deals we want. then go crazy running around the store at midnight :) gamestop - the one in the same shopping center of walmart is opening at 12am as well. fingers crossed they have a used red ds lite. if not, we may be headed to a different gs... driving about 30-40 minutes to a different town sears kmart then it's open to whatever else we may need to buy...bath&body works, toys r us, old navy, etc.... and i will probably hit up rite aid on thanksgiving day for wrapping paper, popcorn, butter cookies.

Just went to Target tonight and bought all of my bf deals and a few others. Only purchased 6 of the bf deals, but once my receipt gets price adjusted, I will get back a total of $75.76!!! Totally worth not having to run like a crazy person through the store on friday!

Oh and i also contacted 4 different GS's in my area -- 2 open at midnight. 1 at 5am and 1 at 6am. You might want to double check times in your area especially if your stores are located in a mall.

well, i'm not as excited as i thought i might be after seeing this. last years ad had used ds lites for 59.99 so i was hoping to see that again or less, but not more!!! $20 more for a new one makes sense but then that would be $20 more to spend on something else if i got the used one. plus not sure we will be hanging around WM till 5. the ds would be the only thing we need at 5. hmmmm......what to do???

When will we be able to view the maps of the stores. I went online today and there is a place to click that says "view your local ad and store map" but then I cannot for the life of me find the map anywhere. Can someone please help me?

Do they give out tickets for these or is it a free for all. I remember seeing them last year on one of those four sided displays. They had a ton, but I didn't need it then.

i just looked at the scan again. the doorbusters just say 'while supplies last' under them. but thankfully, i don't need any of the doorbusters so my adjustments should be ok to be made at any point that day.

Ok, thanks for your help. I see in the scan every so often it has doorbuster listed beside random items. I assume only those single items are it, and not the whole page. Just not sure on the doorbuster time. I will pull up the ad listing and see if it states it there. Thanks again!

So are the "doorbusters" only available 4-10AM? Maybe I'm missing something, but how can you tell what is a doorbuster and what isn't?

Here is my question on the doorbusters: Target doesn't really do doorbusters right? Isn't the true doorbuster the $10 gift card with $100 purchase? Aren't the prices good Friday and Saturday? It's just that if they run out, than you're out of luck? Can someone please clarify that the prices will be the same all day. I am thinking of getting the $20 dvd player and a few toys on Wed then just price adjusting, but wasn't sure if I had to be to the store by a certain time to have this done. In the past I just went at whatever time I got by the store.

However, I just spoke with a guy at my local GameStop today and he said last year they had used DS Lites for $60, so I guess I can always pray they are that same price or cheaper this year! I don't mind buying used as long as it's from a store and I can still get some sort of warranty from them, even if it is just 30 days. Now I just need to see the GS ad to make up my mind! Someone get on that!

THanks! I def have to have it as a xmas gift. I may have found one on Craigslist but am somewhat leery buying stuff like that on there just in case it ends up not working.
