  1. When we have started at Target in the past, we got there around 5:15-5:30 and were always closer to the front than the end by the time it was 6:00. However, this year, I went and bought all of my items on Monday and will just take my receipt in sometime on Friday to have the prices adjusted. Still not sure where I'm starting at though.
  2. I saw these stacked at our store yesterday. I'm pretty sure it was the one on sale fo bf. They had about 3-4 stacked in the middle of an isle near the camping and car section. The box wasn't very big at all. It would definitely fit in an expedition - that's what I drive too! hth
  3. We were at our walmart today and they had a bunch of stuff out that will be in the ad, but they weren't priced at the bf price yet, but at least I got a chance to see where they are going to be in the store!
  4. I just got an email from Kohl's with the BF add in it. When you click on an item (all the ones I did), it says product available in our stores only. Most of the items say that the offer is valid from 11/27 (thursday) through the 29th though, so not really sure if they might be online at some point? Can anyone clear this up? Here's a link to the ad: http://kohls.shoplocal.com/kohlssneakpeek/Default.aspx?action=browsepageflash&storeid=2396499&rapid=622951&pagenumber=1&prvid=kohls-081126&promotioncode=kohls-081126null

    So Mean!

Maybe that's the 'big surprise' Brad was talking about yesterday. Maybe it's getting posted early? I hope so!!
  6. I don't know if the stores do or not. But, I received some coupons from Yankee Candle that are good through Nov. 30. It was B1G1 for jar candles. Three coupons - one for small, one for medium and one for the large size. I already used my b1g1 for the medium candles, and you don't have to have a store around you either. They are accepted at most stores that carry those candles.
  7. My dh's mom's side of the family does this. It's not nearly 50 people, but it does add up. We never take part in buying anyone gifts because for one we can't really afford to, but the main reason is because we don't do that for ANY other side of either family. We do get for his grandparents and his parents, but that is on a different day. We've tried to talk everyone in to doing a name exchange on that side, but his aunt always has an excuse of why they can't do that. It makes NO sense to me at all.
  8. Our Christmas bonus is normally pretty good, but it seems to keep getting smaller each year. In the past it's been around 2-4 weeks worth of pay. We don't get it until the day of our Christmas party. They give it to us late because they want us to spend it on ourselves, but almost everyone puts it towards gifts that they have already bought anyway. I always try to buy myself one nice thing with it though. They also add 3% of our yearly pay to our 401K. And we always have a Christmas party Dec. 23rd. We do a name exchange and exchange gifts in the morning and then go to lunch afterwards. We also alternate each year with a day trip to Baltimore, MD. That's what we are doing this year. We have lunch and then free time after that, then meet for drinks before we head home. I know that I have it good even though the $ keeps getting less. I am extremely thankful for my job and all of the perks that come with it.
  9. They normally don't run sales unless they are in the flyers, but anything's possible I guess! :)
  10. Not sure about the longsleeves, but when I was in the outlet this past Sunday, the manager gave me a flyer with their hours for BF. Our outlets here don't open until 6AM. I asked if they would be having early birds or 20% off the store, etc. and he said no, they haven't done that for a few years. He also told me that this Sunday, 11/23, they would be starting the sale that they will have going on on BF too. Not sure if all Gap outlets are the same, but I might just go check it out and get anything I want then. I also have 2 15% off coupons from doing their online surveys that print with your receipt!
  11. Thanks for this info on the Leapster 2. I purchased the bundle from Costco.com last night. It was now 79.99 and included the Leapster 2, the case and the Wall E game. That is such a good deal considering the unit itself sells for 79.99 alone at some places. Since I'm not a member of Costco (we have none around us) I had to pay a 5% upcharge, but that was only 4.00 and I got free shipping, so that was fine with me! I plan to buy some more games at Target next week and then have them price adjust them on BF for the $15 sale. Thanks again! I love this site
  12. All of the ones around me have closed or are in the process of closing. Are the Value City Furniture stores closing also?
  13. Just got an email from Kohl's. Take 15% off your entire order today only from 11 AM to 4 PM (EST). enter code: THURSDAY15 at checkout - Online only
  14. Last year I did my Kohl's and Target shopping early too and then just did price adjusting on BF. Kohl's always has such long lines on BF, it's crazy! Last year at Kohl's, when I did my price adjustments, the girl checked them all to see which ones were better deals and then she just returned those items and re-rang them, and I got the Kohl's cash then. She also honored the 15% off that I had used on the receipt too. So, you could always ask them to ring it that way...
  15. I got that Shrek movie too. Our walmart is a 24 hour one and we just went in and picked up all the items we needed and then waited for the 'ripping of the paper' for the doorbusters. However, the shrek movie was just sitting on the shelves in their regular place and were not marked 12.99. I asked an associate and they were basically clueless about it and didn't get the sale marked until after the offical start time of the doorbusters. I felt so special, I think I was the only one in the store that knew they are 12.99. lol
  16. check out the post that says 'door busters' - that is for this weekend...:)
  17. As soon as I see the ads I start making my plan. But, my sister and I sit down Thanksgiving day after lunch, go through all of the ads, and decide the EXACT plan of attack. It just depends what items are most important and the store openings schedule.
  18. I try and get all of my Christmas shopping finished on BF. I have already started shopping, but the majority gets done on BF. I normally pick something up for myself as well. Usually it's clothes that are on great sales. Then between BF and Christmas I normally finish up my husband and boys. They always get more than they probably should
  19. I got 2 of the TomTom One LE GPS systems from bestbuy.com on Thanksgiving day for the black friday early bird price! Each was 119.99!! WooHoo!! Now, a full day of fun ahead. I'm off to bed! Good luck to everyone.
  20. We'll probably start there, but we just need to run to customer service to have some price adjustments done. I need to call and be sure they will be there to do that at 4. The only other thing we need is the pair of 1/8 cut diamond earrings for my niece for 19.99. I'm hoping/assuming we can just pay at the jewelry counter for those though... Then we'll be off to stand in line at Staples before they open at 6.
  21. Has anyone seen the train that is in the BF ad actually in their store? We went in to see which one we wanted to get (2 advertised) and we couldn't find them. The sales guy had no clue either. He didn't even think they carried them at all. Is this something they will get for BF and not have out beforehand? Anyone???
  22. I know that Staples is opening at 6am. What time should be good to get there to get the TomTom GPS? I need 2 of them. I was hoping to get into Kohl's at 4, run to the customer service desk and get my price adjustments and then head to Staples, which is just a few stores down the street. Wasn't sure if I'd have enough time...
  23. I spoke with my local radio shack today and was told that they will not price match with another store unless it's another radio shack. They will however price adjust for 30 days from the date of purchase.

    Bon Ton

I haven't heard anything. But, they normally put out an ad with a $10 off coupon or be one of the first 500 people in the store to get it. Something to that effect, but you normally can't use it on doorbusters or most of the things you actually want to buy. Their coupons are ALWAYS so limited.
  25. I basically want dvds, but I don't think they would be considered "HOT" - I was going to get the Magellan 3100 GPS for $149, but I think we are going to try to get it at the KMart Thanksgiving day sale for $129.99. I checked with my Target and they will not price match from other stores. I know Radio Shack will have it at 129.99 on BF, but I'm just not sure if we'll get to one of those before they are sold out, and they never seem to have a very good stock in my area anyway. I would think the HOT items would probably be the tvs and the other electronics they have listed.
