  1. The first BF that I shopped at Kohl's, we signed up for the card to get the 15% off everything we bought that day. I think it was good the whole day and maybe even online too. That was great. And since then, I get coupons almost every month for %'s off. Card holders do get special deals all throughout the year. As others have posted, I too have received by pick a day 15% off and am debating whether to use it tonight on the night owl sale or save it for BF.
  2. In regards to the Kohl's sales this weekend and BF, has anyone tried to compare the ads to figure out which is better? The night owl/early bird for this weekend has a lot of sale items that you tak an additional % off, and it seems like the BF add is just straight sales. Oh, plus I have an extra 15% off coupon too - only good one day so I'm trying to figure out if I should save it for BF or just use it tonight. I know that Kohl's will do price adjustments on their own merchandise pretty easily, but I wasn't sure if they will adjust it then give the 15%off again (if it was used on the receipt you are getting adjusted). Any thoughts???
  3. I just got the same one yesterday too! Very exciting
  4. Well, my sister and I go together every year. We dress pretty warm, but don't camp out. We put our coats in the cart over top of our purchases while shopping and one of us ALWAYS stays with the cart. Normally, after the first stop we leave the coats in the car, but it was so cold last year that we wore them into every store. We've been taking my Expedition the last few years because I have an automatic start on my remote. That is soooo nice. While we are waiting in line to pay, I just push the button and it's all warmed up by the time we get in. We take some ads but they normally stay in the car. On Thanksgiving, we sit down with them all and make our lists of exactly what we need at each store. We actually both carry two lists. One with the people we are buying for and what we want to get them. I type this one in a table in Word and print it out. I also add the amount I spend on each person behind their name and then I write the price beside each item to be sure I don't overspend. I tend to have a problem with that. Then the second list, I write it on the back of my first list, has the stores listed in the order we are stopping at them and what we need at each store. After we come out of each store, we cross off the items on our lists and then head to the next one. We normally stop for sodas after I first store, and sometimes a quick breakfast at McD's. I always carry a purse over my shoulder, but am extremely aware of it and make sure zipper is closed and towards the front at all times. Last year I carried mostly cash and just a few credit/debit cards. I really liked having the cash though. It helped keep me on budget for sure. Not sure what I'll do this year yet.
  5. Normally DVDs for me too. They are such great prices, you can't pass them up. lol We still have some in the wrappers from last year though. :)
  6. With the excitement of it all, I can barely fall asleep! lol But I do set my alarm and will probably set my alarm on my cell too this year. I'll probably be getting up around 4 this year so we can get to Target around 5 for the 6:00 opening. As long as that's where we decide to start again this year... haven't seen any better ads where the opening time is earlier yet.
  7. The Gettysburg Village Outlets in Gettysburg, PA are open on BF from 8am to 9pm. They are currently going through a buy out/name change. I think it has changed to The Shoppes at Gettysburg or something along those lines. It's still coming up as the Gburg Village online. Oh, and they are closed on Thanksgiving.
  8. Even at the Coach outlet, the wallet/checkbook is going to cost you around $150-250, and there are a ton of fakes on ebay. You just really have to be careful on ebay. I bought a small keyring/credit card holder/wallet from Coach outlet for less than $20. You might be able to find something like that there, but not the checkbook wallet.
  9. I always spend the same thing on my brother/sister and sil/bil no matter what the original price. I bargain shop too, so depending on what each of them want, one may get more than another because of sale prices.
  10. Our son is 2 and here is what he is getting for Christmas: *Step 2 Lifestyle Custom Kitchen (walmart.com is the only place I could find it) *GeoTrax (my family is getting him a bunch of these) *Doodle Pro *Dirt Devil Jr. (he loves cleaning) *accessories for the kitchen - chef hat, apron, oven mitts, dish towels, food - some other items come with the kitchen too *Fire Truck Track that I found on QVC it snaps together and the truck just goes all over the place. It will be nice to take just 2 pieces along to restraunts to keep him busy too *Dump truck *Story Reader books *Chainsaw play tools *Shopping cart *Barrel of Monkeys In his stocking: *Little People Sing Along Favorites CD *Elmo personalized ornament *sticker book *bath paint and christmas washcloth The Little People sets look nice. I have the Farm and the Lil Kingdom on his list for relatives to buy. I think we are done buying for him for now unless I see something he can't live without on BF. lol I'm not spending more than $30 more on him though.
  11. We got our son the Little Tikes cart for this Christmas. I did a lot of research on shopping carts. lol Even though this one was one of the highest prices, I think we paid $26.99 at TRU last weekend, it also seemed like the largest and most durable compared to the others.
