  1. it could be because the mobile site is just a simpler HTML version and the phone might only support WAP. i know the site works on pretty much all PDAs and my Sidekick, but the WAP-only phones probably will have problems. i'll have to look into it and see how easy it would be to code a WAP version.
  2. If there are any retailers or product categories that you would like to see us post more deals for, please reply and list them. We try to cover a lot of areas between the main site and the new "satellite" sites but I'm sure we're missing a lot, so let us know.

  4. I mentioned to RossMAN that this forum should contain a little bit of nostalgia from the "golden days" of online hot deals. I think the other old-timers would get a kick out of some of these things, and all the young kids who weren't around would like to see what they missed, so here is the first installment of some old e-mails I have with some "classic deals". Feel free to share your own thoughts/memories about the deals of days gone by, lol :)

which was such a good deal that they sent this:

    Dear Customer:

Your Portable MiniDisc Player/Recorder is on backorder with our supplier. We are fulfilling these orders and apologize for the backorder status. This supplier is usually able to ship this item to you without delay. Unfortunately, due to widespread use of a 20% off promotional code, our supplier was flooded with orders and did not have enough on hand to ship in our usual time frame. The supplier anticipates that all orders will be in transit by Friday. We will notify you if there is a further delay. Please let us know if you would like us to maintain your Portable MiniDisc Player/Recorder order, or if you would like us to cancel.

That's it for now - more to come next week...

  5. Oh...in afterthought...you might want a "Home" link on these forums to go back to the main site.

There is a link at the bottom-right of every page (GottaDeal.com) that links to the main page, but maybe we can put one somewhere near the top. I'll work on it...

  6. 3 different codes - pick one depending on how high of a roller you are :)

    http://www.partypoker.com

Code: GOTTADEAL - Free $25 added to your bonus account with first deposit (use with initial deposits under $125)

Code: GOTTADEAL20 - Free 20% bonus (up to $100) added to your bonus account with first deposit (use with initial deposits over $125)

Code: GOTTADEAL32 - Free $32 entry into the PartyPoker Million IV Tournament with first deposit (over $6 million prize pool)

Also, for a limited time, sign up using one of the codes above, deposit at least $50 into your account and we will send you either a $10 Amazon gift certificate or $10 in PayPal - your choice.

This is in addition to the bonus you get from PartyPoker. Just sign up and then reply to this thread with your PartyPoker username and what signup code you used. Once verified, the extra $10 bonus is yours.

    --

I've been a Partypoker customer for almost a year now - first class operation. Quick payouts, excellent customer service, and it's fun.

When you sign up using one of these codes, you have to deposit a minimum of $50, and you have to play a certain number of hands for them to release the bonus amount (they don't want you signing up, taking the free cash and cashing out).

Here are some poker sites to help you learn to play if you don't have a clue or haven't played in a while:

If you have any questions about PP, either post here or PM me.

  7. well on the very cheap end you have something like this (no VCR though):

    http://www.amazon.com/o/ASIN/B00009WC2J

and if you are willing to go up to $299 you can get something like this:

    http://www.amazon.com/o/ASIN/B0001W01M4

which has everything you want and the great Toshiba brand name. but if you need to stay around $250, there is this Magnavox model:

    http://www.amazon.com/o/ASIN/B0000B16FP

but the Toshiba would be well worth the extra $50 if you can swing it. these are just from amazon (and it looks like they sell that zenith set you have pictured for $299) so you might find better prices elsewhere. i can't find the toshiba much cheaper elsewhere, especially when you factor in free shipping and no tax in most states.

amazon also has this samsung system for $279:

    http://www.amazon.com/o/ASIN/B0000AI0NM

which should be comparable to the toshiba and a little cheaper. only 1 left in stock as of this post though, so order if you want it.

if you want any of these and want me to check for a better price, let me know the model. i'd recommend either the toshiba or samsung.

  8. yes, thanks for participating and be sure to tell people you know about the site :)

there is currently a $10 off $50 (see ross' post) and a $20 off $100 coupon that i am aware of. so if you can find another $21 to spend, you can get $10 more off. see the main site for the $20 coupon link.

  9. mbony,

first, posts like this should go in the "deal finder service" board on this forum :)

second, i always liked the case logic "koskin" (fake leather) wallets.

something like this if you just need the actual discs stored:

    http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00005ICHQ

or something like this if you want the dvd inserts stored with the discs:

    http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00004TZFL

  10. I think it's a pretty good chair. The $340 list price is obviously a joke. I think they are trying to make it look like one of the more expensive chairs like the Aerons. But I think it is better than the standard $30 "pleather" chairs you mention. Alumnum base and a steel frame which are nice to have. Also has adjustable height on the armrests. As long as you're not too tough on it, it should last a good while.
