Just an update... work continues on the new site. Here is a sneak preview: http://www.gottadeal.com/images/sneak.gif LOL. We can't give everything away just yet. A question for everyone: We currently have the last 50 deals on the front page of the site. What are your thoughts about that number? Should it be raised, lowered, stay the same? Should we go by time instead of number and have all the deals posted in the last X number of days/hours? Having less deals means the page will load faster, but (obviously) there will be less deals to browse on the page. We will be having "next page" links on all deal pages, so once you get to the bottom of the page, there will be a link to go to the previous batch of deals, all the way back to the beginning of the site. Thoughts???

According to Pricegrabber, that additional $10 rebate is supposed to be only from purchases from DataVision.com. Although it doesn't mention that on the rebate form. Of course it doesn't hurt to try as the RadioShack rebate only needs a copy of the UPC. You can send the original one for the $10 rebate. Because we don't know for sure if it is valid I didn't include that $10 in the post on the main page. We don't want people blaming us if the rebate doesn't go through :)

The rebate does require you to activate the regular TiVo service at $12.95 per month, at least until they process the rebate, so there is some added cost in doing that. Plus the possibility that you'll become addicted to the "Plus" level of service and won't want to go back to the free "Basic" service :) The rebate says it is valid for new or "certified factory renewed". The one at OS is "factory reconditioned", so I'd guess that it is the same and you will get the rebate. More rebate info at: http://www.tivorebates.com

I just bought a 32MB USB 2.0 drive at Target yesterday for $8.00. Small capacity, but it is extremely tiny with a cool swivel cap. No rebate hassle either. It was one of these: http://www.imation.com/products/flash_devices/usb_swivel_drive.html Works good for most small stuff, but I'd still like something bigger.
-
Yes, they change stuff alot. As does Amazon. That's why it is so hard to keep deals updated on the main site. People complain when a deal posted 3 days ago has a higher price, but the retailer probably changed the price 8 times during that time, lol.
-
That bundle is $10 more today, but you get free shipping now, so it's actually around $10 cheaper than yesterday. New customers can save $15 more with a coupon. Deal: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=6670
-
that's a nice deal. it was $189 shipped with no rebates in december. how much is shipping on it now?
-
This is a good deal if you can find someone to take the other one from you: http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=10399194 Note that the rebate is actually for $20, not $15, so your price is $54.99 shipped AR (minus the 5% coupon if they sent you one via e-mail in the last few days) They want $37 for 1 of them so 2 for $55 is a much better deal.
-
buy.com sells that same drive i linked for $135 with no rebates, so $69 AR is a great price. you can get the 300gb version for $60 more: http://shop2.outpost.com/product/4280824?
-
then it's most likely regular ATA.
-
here is a good deal if you don't mind the rebate: http://shop3.outpost.com/product/4008252 includes a 5 year warranty!
-
i assume you need regular ATA and not serial ATA, correct?
-
how much is a lot? internal or external? 500GB enough? http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=10358892 :)

I believe it is for new DSL customers. If you have SBC for your phone service, you can get it. Up until now you had to also take their $50/month unlimited local calling plan, but they just dropped that restriction. Now as long as you order online (I don't think you can get it via phone) and pre-pay for a year, you get the $19.99 rate.
