They say not available online in the ad, but that may just be them legally covering themselves so people don't complain if a certain item isn't online, and there could very well be some of those items online as well.

no threats from them. i think with them closing so many of their stores that there is just less interest in the ad and less chances of it being leaked from a store employee since most of them were let go when the stores closed. compusa is definitely no longer one of the "major" stores and we even removed their sub-forum this year because of it.

The ad doesn't give a brand and I couldn't find any models that looked like that on their site. I'm guessing it's going to be one of the lesser brands like Venturer, ilo, Emerson, etc...

You can also buy 10% and sometimes 20% off coupons on eBay as well. So if you are going to be spending a lot, you might want to look into those.

I'm guessing they are saving some of the better deals for their "secret" sale to be posted on Thanksgiving. Proabably don't want to tip their hand to the competition, especially since it looks like a lot of stores are doing similar things on Thanksgiving. Maybe next year we'll have almost live, real-time responses to each other's ads, lol. BB will post a $299 laptop, an hour later, WM will have a $289 laptop on their site, etc...

Wal-Mart very rarely has "sales" to begin with. Even during the year, their weekly circulars mostly have "everyday low price" type items and occasional "special buys". The early bird items in the BF ad are the true "sale" items and are mostly below regular prices. The non-early birds are in many cases just regular prices like WM's normal ads. Same thing happened at least the last 2 years.
