One thing to remember is that Wal-Mart very rarely has "sales" to begin with. Even during the rest of the year, their weekly circulars mostly have "everyday low price" type items and occasional "special buys". The early bird items in the BF ad are the true "sale" items and are mostly below regular prices. The non-early birds are in many cases just regular prices like WM's normal ads. Same thing happened at least the last 2 years with their BF, so it's not a new thing from them.

Now that it's officially November 19th on the east coast, I present to you the worst kept-secret in BF history: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=82464 Feel free to discuss the ad (and complain) as much as you want to in this forum now

As I said, I'm not saying all of them (or even the majority), but they are the only employees to come on the site and so emphatically support what Wal-Mart did with their threats. I've never seen that from any other store that has threatened us in the 5 years I've had a BF site.

The spend $50 get $25 deal is going on, but the free shipping with no minimum doesn't start until 11/22.

That should be fixed now. Thanks for catching it :)

I figured it was close enough. It's midnight somewhere Plus I didn't want the huge spike of traffic at midnight as it could have taken the servers down if everyone tried to see it at once. This way the number of people viewing it are spaced out over an hour or two.

The items listed here: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=82464 are the ad as we received it. They will have the special in-store secret deals that will be posted Thanksgiving Day (or earlier if we are notified of them).

Brad replied to Brad's topic in Online Hot Deals
Nope, doesn't have to be installed. Just plug it in and you are good :) -
The e-mail said nothing about audible.com, so I'm guessing it's a regular $100 off the list price.

http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=82464 Scans are posted, list will be posted on the BF site later today

Nintendo Wii Games Buy 2 Get 3rd Free at ToysRUs.com (exp 11/21)
Brad replied to 2kpsinfl's topic in Online Hot Deals
nice deal. when they had this last year, a lot of the popular games were sold out after the first day, so i'd advise everyone to order soon before they go OOS -
I will say that Wal-Mart employees have got to be some of the most supportive of their employer of all retail employees. All these other stores have threatened legal action, but we almost never hear from employees who support it. When Wal-Mart did their thing this year, I must have seen 20 posts from WM employees on here supporting them (many of which we had to delete because they were threatening, slandering, full of expletives or just made no sense) along with countless e-mails like the one above. Either they are really concerned that a leaked BF ad could somehow cost them their job, or WM does a good job brainwashing their employees. And before you WM employees contact me, I'm in no way saying all of you are like this - just that I don't see similar responses from employess of any other store. Either way I'll be glad this time tomorrow when this ad is finally "officially" posted.

After I removed the ad and posted that nobody would really care, the idiot lawyer got even more mad and demanded that we remove any and all mentions of Big Lots from the BF site. After doing so (and sending him an e-mail threatening to post his e-mail address and phone number instead) he got even more angry, lol. So I'm done with Big Lots... for now Oh, and Mr. Lawyer: BIG LOTS BIG LOTS BIG LOTS BIG LOTS BIG LOTS BIG LOTS BIG LOTS BIG LOTS BIG LOTS BIG LOTS BIG LOTS BIG LOTS BIG LOTS BIG LOTS BIG LOTS BIG LOTS BIG LOTS BIG LOTS
