instead of spending all that time checking the site, you could be going to your local stores, making friends with the employees, asking if they've seen their store's ad, giving them our site URL or your e-mail address in case they get it, etc... i just post the ads i get, but it's up to people with the ads to actually send them to us

also, for those of you who subscribe to our youtube channel, similar to our myspace friends, we may end up using that as a way to disseminate "information" (text lists, links to pdf files) that we may otherwise not be able to post on here...

yeah i'll do that next time. thanks for the link. i guess you can add one of youtube's pre-loaded songs into an already-posted video, so i just picked out a boring instrumental just so there isn't total silence for this one.

yeah i'll at least add some music for the rest of them. just wanted to get something up quickly for this one and since i'm not really a youtube person i didn't know what the rules were for adding music (copyright stuff, etc...) thanks for the help :)

I'm going to be posting some Youtube videos over the next 6 weeks as yet another way to introduce new people to GD and the BF site. These will be in addition to the ones bigjimslade will be doing. None of these videos will likely have anything in them that you don't already know from visiting the site, but they'll basically be site updates and other news that hopefully end up being returned in Google search results and help us get the site promoted in other ways. I just uploaded the first one which is a quick tour of the BF site home page: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tFdSvV-vtOs If at all possible, sign up for a Youtube account if you don't already have one, rate the video (5 stars of course ), and leave a comment either saying how excited you are about BF, or how much you love GD, etc... And if you want to subscribe to our channel, that would be even better. And who knows, maybe I'll pick some people who help me out and send them a BF t-shirt... so many of the sales will be online, so you'll be able to get some deals. plus a lot of the online sales start late thursday night or early friday morning, so when everyone else is camping out and can't order, you'll be able to get the deals :)

Best Buy just today threatened to terminate any affiliate who posts the BF ad early. That threat probably won't stop us, but it's not looking good overall this year...

We didn't have one last year, but we had one either 2 or 3 years ago (when things weren't nearly as busy as they are now).

FYI, that code is supposed to start tonight at 12am CT and expire Wednesday at 12pm CT

BB usually has the BF prices online during the day on Thursday. I think midnight Wednesday night was when they did it last year.

PLEASE only post info for this year. We know when stores opened last year, but we are looking for confirmation of this year's times only.
