  1. The early access thing sucks in my opinion... basically pay to play or don't get the best deals.

It's becoming a common thing. Amazon gives Prime members early access to some Lightning Deals, Target has done it for REDcard holders for BF and other deals. GameStop requires a Pro Rewards membership for some PS5/Xbox Series S/X console releases, etc.

Anything they can do to get more people to sign up for their membership programs they'll try.

I'm guessing they won't let Walmart+ members buy up all the stock - they'll probably just put a smaller percentage available and then save the rest for the main on-sale. Walmart+ members get 3 hours, then there is an hour break before everyone gets a shot - that could be when they re-stock.

  2. Does anyone know if the TV will be online and instore

It looks like all the items in both ads should be available online (starting on Wednesday) and in stores (starting on Friday).

There doesn't appear to be any online-only or in store-only deals like in past years, at least not for the first 2 ads.

  4. One of my WMs had a huge pallet of .7 microwaves and cheap toasters. Must be that will be a deal

You can look at past year's WM ads and have a pretty good idea of 90% of what will be in this year's ad(s). They have stuck to the same format for pretty much as long as I can remember.

It will be interesting (assuming there are 3 sales) if they stick to the same categories as last year. For example if movies be in week 2 again this year.

  5. I mean this could be true or this could be someone that just took the exact days and times from last year and adjusted the dates back 1 day to make the days of the week line up and is claiming it as fact.

I'll be disappointed if it's another 3 week sale. That 3rd sale the week of BF was pretty lame last year.

Last year we got the first 2 ads on Monday the 19th. So if they are indeed copying last year's schedule we may get them tomorrow.

  6. Time for the next contest!

Two of the words on this year's t-shirt are Deals and Tradition.

To be entered to win, reply to this thread with either your favorite deal you've ever scored on Black Friday or your favorite Black Friday tradition. Or you can reply with both. Or multiples of both. Just keep it all in one post to make choosing winners easier.

Contest will be open until 11pm ET on Sunday, October 24th. I will then randomly choose 15 members who entered and you'll win a brand new 2021 Black Friday t-shirt!

Limit of one t-shirt prize per member but if you win you are still welcome to enter future contests for fun.

For more info on this year's shirts and to order them if you wish, see this thread.

    Good luck to everyone!

  8. Oh, a zip up hoodie would be very nice, I'd much prefer that over a pullover.

Yeah I don't really like pullovers so this would have something likely embroidered on one side of the front chest. Don't know if I'd also do something on the back or sleeves - don't want it to be too busy since this is something you could wear year-round so it won't be BF-themed either.

  9. https://corporate.bestbuy.com/holiday-has-arrived-best-buy-announces-earlier-black-friday-guarantees-black-friday-prices/

October 19-22: hundreds of Black Friday deals available early (I'm guessing we'll see the full ad this day)

November 19th: Best Buy starts their Black Friday sale a full week before Black Friday this year

Will be interesting to see if they save doorbusters for the actual BF day or if you'll have to score everything on the 19th in store and online.

They'll also have Member Mondays with with deals for My Best Buy members as well as a new price adjustment policy:

"All of the deals in our Oct. 19 sale are covered by our Black Friday Price Guarantee, which means the price won’t go lower before Black Friday. If it does, we’ll automatically refund our My Best Buy and Best Buy Totaltech members the difference. No need to email or show us your receipt, just money back in your pocket."

  10. Just a heads up as I don't know if it shows up for those who use the app but there is an actual poll question attached to this thread, so vote there (you might need to view the thread in a browser to see the poll).

Sizes posted as replies won't count as I'll just assume those are repeats of how you voted in the actual poll.

  11. I'm thinking about possibly finally doing full-zip hoodies next year instead of t-shirts.

Rather than wait until everyone comes back next year to get a ratio of sizes I thought I'd start this poll and gather data over the next few weeks from all the BF "regulars" so we get a good response.

So just pick the size that you'd most likely either purchase or choose if you were to win a hoodie. If you have multiple people in your household that would buy one, get them to sign up here and vote - only one vote per person.

For the purposes of this poll assume the proposed hoodie runs pretty normal to slightly small on the sizing. If you plan on gaining or losing weight by next year, keep that in mind as well.

Note: There is an actual poll question attached to this thread, so vote there (you might need to view the thread in a browser to see the poll). Sizes posted as replies won't count as I'll just assume those are repeats of how you voted in the actual poll.

    Thanks for your help :)

  12. I haven't seen mine yet,and I don't think I was late in replying. It will get here when it gets here.

Yeah they were sent via slow 1st class mail, no tracking or anything so it could be awhile. I have like 4 extras in case a few get lost in the mail but we'll give it a few more weeks before worrying about that.
