lincolndog Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 My college age daughter told me last night she would like a coach bag for her birthday. I agreed not knowing what I was agreeing with. MY FAULT. I almost fainted when I looked them up on the internet. Does anyone know where you can buy these at a greatly discounted price? Do not need until Dec.but thought I would go ahead and get it. Having birthdays by the holidays stink on budgets!!!!! Thanks for any help!

lincolndog Posted August 16, 2009 Author Posted August 16, 2009 Thanks, unfortunate to us but grateful due to love of shopping we live about 3 1/2 hours to the largest town. When we do go into the city it would be St.Louis. Around us is farm stores and Walmart. Not what I call thrilling!!!!

Even sometimes TJmaxx, & Marshalls. I'll keep an eye out Start searching now for upscale consignement shops either online or near you. Some women only use them for a bit and take them in. You wouldnt even know it had been used...then you have extra cash to stuff in the purse!
pryan67 Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 the coach outlet in Wisconsin Dells had some GREAT deals last weekend... if you sign up for their mailing list, you'll get coupons in the mail as well also, check ebay, but be CAREFUL...LOTS of fakes out there
ilgetumipretty Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 I would definitely try the outlet mall route. The outlet mall itself may have a website, if so sign up for their mailing list (the one nearest me calls it their "VIP Club"). I have been able to get purses 3 times now when they were having 50% off of the clearance price and it seems as if these sales coincided with a special sale/weekend the outlet was having (mothers day, sidewalk sale weekend, etc.). Hope this helps!

pianoman Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Find someone going to NYC. My wife got one last month for $30.
pianoman Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 My wife researched your question.... Craiglist- search New York orhttp://www.kioioi.com/products.asp?id=n293- $35 w/free shipping. May want to check if site is legit. Please post your finds. We have many Coach requests ourselves.
vsa3janes Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Thanks, unfortunate to us but grateful due to love of shopping we live about 3 1/2 hours to the largest town. When we do go into the city it would be St.Louis. Around us is farm stores and Walmart. Not what I call thrilling!!!!How close do you live to Branson? We drove there from the St Louis area last weekend. There is a Coach outlet in the outlet mall there and they had Coach bags for 40% off. They carry a large collection of purses/bags/wallets, etc. The other thing you might do is watch this deal finder forum for a coupon. A few times a year Coach mails out coupons to their customers. Sometimes people are willing to give/trade these to others.
alexusrydr Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 if you make it to a mall, when Dillard's has an extra % off clearance (usually 30% but sometimes 40%), it includes Coach purses.
speeddiva Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Unless you're buying it from Coach or an authorized outlet like Macy's or Dillards, it's probably a fake.
AndreaInNC Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 I'd go back to her and ask her if she wants a Coach purse or next semester's tuition. Maybe she didn't know how much they were? DD did that last Christmas - said she wanted Uggs .. went online and saw how much they were - she about died. She was sweet about it and let me get her that style of shoe, just not as expensive.
tyreejames Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Unless you're buying it from Coach or an authorized outlet like Macy's or Dillards, it's probably a fake.I'm gonna second that. A COACH bag for $30?? The wristlets start @ $48.00...
AndreaInNC Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 I'm gonna second that. A COACH bag for $30?? The wristlets start @ $48.00... yeah - a $30 Coach bag from NYC is a knockoff. But I've bought some really good knockoffs in NYC and no one can tell the difference. But they were for me - they weren't a gift.
KoopawnKode Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 The factory stores aren't too bad on prices (Seriously..my wife got a decent purse for $40) plus there's a 20% coupon out now HERE enter your info and they'll send you a 20% coupon almost immediately.
momlori Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Coach purses are widely faked on the internet. The fakes support child labor, terrorism, etc so I am totally against them. Others do not care and are ok with buying these. As previously mentioned your best bet is a Coach outlet store. During season changes you can find them on clearance at Macy's. If nothing else, maybe someone closer to an outlet would go for you and pick up a bag and send it to you. Good luck
freesia39 Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 this is a coach website they arent too badhttp://www.i-coachhandbags.com/category-16-b0-New+Arrival.html this is the one i would gethttp://www.i-coachhandbags.com/gallery.php?id=1842Those aren't real. It ships from another country and the prices are not anywhere close to real. The model numbers aren't close, plus it doesn't name the bag. They probably know people at the Coach factory in China, take the material/patterns, and just splash them on other bags.
CarpeDiem Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 I got a ton @ the outlet stores and also at the military exchanges I need to go through and get rid of some of the ones i have left and didnt sell, I bought WAY too many when I was reselling
Sue-Z-Q Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 this is a coach website they arent too badhttp://www.i-coachhandbags.com/category-16-b0-New+Arrival.htmlSorry to say, these are fakes.
rnstrange Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 I went to the Coach outlet in Branson and bought 2 small purses for $100! They were having 60% off everything. If you can get to an outlet it's your best bet for a real purse.
MingMingDucklin Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Amazon.com has a few a small one runs about $150

momlori Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Coach outlets have a coupon for an additional 20% off this weekend
JohnnyLaRue Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Go to the outlet store or the salvation army type of shops. Ok depending where you live but the ones in my area and Beverly Hills you can find some good deals there.
cc1824 Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 One of the reasons they cost so much is because if the purse rips or the sewing comes paprt you can take it back to the outlet or the coach store and they will send it out for repair, if coach can't repair it to their standards they will send you a certificate for the cost of the purse. I bought mine on clearance at coach outlet store and I got more money in the certificate, the reason I returned it was cuase my dog chewed the handle so the stitching was coming out. I made out on that deal and got a new purse oh yeah a good deal.
freesia39 Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Go to the outlet store or the salvation army type of shops. Ok depending where you live but the ones in my area and Beverly Hills you can find some good deals there. The UCLA Thrift Shop (on Sawtelle near Santa Monica Blvd) is a great place to find slightly used but expensive handbags. Proceeds benefit the UCLA hospital I think.
jamesave Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 coach outlet locations: http://www.malls-info.com/outlet/coachoutletstores.html
vsa3janes Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 I have a 25% off coupon for the regular store posted as a trade thread....if anyone is interested.
cberrytech Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 I highly recommend the Coach outlet in Branson. I have bought several bags there, and they are always first quality at very good prices. They are usually marked down a considerable amount, then an additional % off that, usually 40%. I love that place!
