Scott
Ok, I'm looking for the small platic pins used to attach heatsinks to northbridge/southbridge chips and or video GPUs. They are kind of like the pins seen here. I have about 3 northbridge heatsinks similar to this lying around, and I just want a way to attach them. I took some pics of the one that I have for reference... http://www.pictars.com/users/sdible/small/pin1.gifhttp://www.pictars.com/users/sdible/small/pin2.gif

Brad
I looked around but couldn't find any. There's probably a formal name for them and if we know that we could probably find them.
Ankit
Try posting this on the Anandtech.com forums, maybe someone has a few lying around! :)
DeviousTrap
Any reason you need to use the pins? You'll have the same exact end result if you just use a thermal compound with epoxy to hold in. (Arctic Silver Adhesive comes to mind)
geekgirldany
at ebay the heat sink is selling for around $6. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=3673&item=6773455205&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW I'm just wondering how much the pins would cost of you found them? The same?

(Arctic Silver Adhesive comes to mind)That is where I will go next if I can't find them. I already thought of that. GeekGirl I can get the heatsink new from directron for $5 with all the hardware. But I already have about 3 or 4 heatsinks lying around. it looks like I may have to go the epoxy route.
Saruji
Epoxy route is actually much better, if you can, grab the arctic adhesive, it works really well and imporves heat transfer. However beware that you will have a tuff time getting that thing off. Some of the guys at ocforums have mixed adhesive with regular artic silver compound and they get the best of both worlds.
